• How do I upload a file when I know the client's filepath?

  I'm interested in the way Sonic Living detects your iTunes library XML file. It prompts the user to approve its actions, then automatically uploads the XML file based on the client OS (and assuming the default installation path of iTunes). How the heck does it do that? None of the upload libraries I've looked at have this feature. They all assume that a user will click "Select file..." then browse around for the right thing to upload.

I need a feature that allows each registered user to fill in his profile - name, address, email, add photos.   I seem to recall that Loader.unload() could once be used to stop loading a swf before it had finished loading. I can no longer find documentation or the blog where I read this. Perhaps it was an unofficial feature. Anyhow, IModuleInfo, returned by ModuleManager.getModule() has an unload() method. If I want to halt loading a Flex Module that is in progress, do I just call iModuleInfo_instance.unload()?

  Does the native Blackberry API allow for the modification of any messaging interface? For example, I'd like to be able to build an app that added a button at the bottom of a received message which says 'translate this'.
