    In my regex, I want to say that within the sample text, any characters are allowed, including a-z in upper and lower case, numbers and special characters. For example, my regular expression may be checking that a document is html. therefore: "/[]+/" i have tried []+ but it does not seem to like this?

    Most of my users have email addresses associated with their profile in /etc/passwd. They are always in the 5th field, which I can grab, but they appear at different places within a comma-separated list in the 5th field. Can somebody give me a regex to grab just the email address (delimeted by commas) from a line in this file? To do this, it appears that I need to use a custom KML/KMZ file that contains the county mapping data (which I've located).     I am using jQuery validation plugin for form validation. The problem I am facing is when I have inline labels.. For Example: <input type="text" name="myinput" value="Enter your ...."> This is the sample case where validation is failing because the 'value' is set for input field. Is there any workaround?   • NoSql Crash Course/Tutorial

    Hi all, I've seen NoSQL pop up quite a bit on SO and I have a solid understanding of why you would use it (from here, Wikipedia, etc). This could be due to the lack of concrete and uniform definition of what it is (more of a paradigm than concrete implementation), but I'm struggling to wrap my head around how I would go about designing a system that would use it or how I would implement it in my system. I'm really stuck in a relational-db mindset thinking of things in terms of tables and joins... At any rate, does anybody know of a crash course/tutorial on a system that would use it (kind of a "hello world" for a NoSQL-based system) or a tutorial that takes an existing "Hello World" app based on SQL and converts it to NoSQL (not necessarily in code, but just a high-level explanation). I see this having one solid answer, but if you guys feel like it should be community wiki, I'll be happy to change it. Thanks! Chris

  • Jerky Silverlight 4 animations when running app in OOB

    I was playing with new Silverlight 4 and to my surprise when I run my sample application in OOB all animations become very jerky when I move mouse around during animations, but when I run my app in browser animations are smooth even when moving mouse around. I tried my app on two different computers, turned on GPU acceleration in OOB settings - and got the same jerky result. Is this a know problem with Silverlight?

    Hi, I have my 'shake' working fine (using motionEnded), based off of Apple's GLPaint code. When the user shakes the device (running 3.0 and up) I want to open a view controller modally using presentModalViewController. In my appdelegate I have the notification (as per the GLPaint sample code): [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self selector:@selector(shakeToOpenHiddenScreen) name:@"shake" object:nil]; In my shakeToOpenHiddenScreen I just want to open view 'x' modally but I don't think that my appdelegate will respond to presentModalViewController. Is there a way around this?

  • Complex sound handling (I.E. pitch change while looping)

    Hi everyone I've been meaning to learn Java for a while now (I usually keep myself in languages like C and Lua) but buying an android phone seems like an excellent time to start. now after going through the lovely set of tutorials and a while spent buried in source code I'm beginning to get the feel for it so what's my next step? well to dive in with a fully featured application with graphics, sound, sensor use, touch response and a full menu. hmm now there's a slight conundrum since i can continue to use cryptic references to my project or risk telling you what the application is but at the same time its going to make me look like a raving sci-fi nerd so bare with me for the brief...
