• Exchange Server 2007 Send and Receive Connectors

  I have gotten awesome advice from users on here for getting Exchange on Windows SBS 2008 set up. I think this is the final piece and I'm ready for roll-out! I need to set up Exchange so that it RECEIVES mail from our existing mail server as a Forward [aliases on the existing mail server to forward mail from [email protected] to [email protected]] (not using the POP3 Connector), and SENDS mail through that server as well (sends from [email protected] to [email protected] and then out to the world, showing in the headers as from [email protected] or at absolute least have the reply-to set as this). Alternatively, as long as the .net email address doesn't show in the From and replies are directed to the .com account, email can go from Exchange to the outside world without directing through the existing mail server. External Domain: domain.com Internal Domain: domain.local Internet Domain Name Set in SBS Console: domain.net When I go to http://remote.domain.net I get the Remote Web Workspace, and can login to both Sharepoint and OWA. I can send an email from OWA to a GMail account. I receive it from [email protected], which is an alias of [email protected]. I cannot, however, send an email from OWA to ANY domain.com email addresses. I am also not receiving any email to this Exchange account (except for NDRs).   Okay, so I'm going to take the off chance that someone here has used zxing before. I'm developing a Java application, and one of the things it needs to do is encode a byte array of data into a QR Code and then decode it at a later time.   I have a legacy application that used binary serialisation to persist the data. Now we wanted to use Json.net 4.5 to serialise the data without much changes to the existing classes. Things were working nice till we hit a circular dependent class. Is there any workaround to solve this problem? • Compiling program that uses libpcap on Mac OSX using iPhone 3.1.1 SDK for use on iPhone

  Hey SOV users, I have a question that I'm hoping some iPhone Developers may be able to help with. I had a look at statically compiling a binary on my Mac and moving it over to the iPhone for execution. I have managed to get this bit of it working by installing the iPhone 3.1.3 SDK on my Mac and setting the architecture to the iPhone in the gcc line as follows; /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc -I ~/Downloads/libpcap-1.1.1/pcap-compiled/ -arch armv6 -isysroot /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.1.sdk -o test test.c I have managed to successfully compile a "Hello World" C program and executed it on the iPhone with success. e.g. include int main() { printf("Hello, World!\n"); return(0); } This worked a charm. I am also using 'ldid' to sign the application (but only if necessary). Anyways, I have been trying to get a program to compile which uses libpcap (http://www.tcpdump.org/) but with little success. I have downloaded and installed libpcap-1.1.1 on my mac and set the configure --prefix to /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.1.sdk/usr/local and build the application. I then saw that the includes actually reside in Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.1.sdk/usr/includes and so moved the Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.1.sdk/usr/local/include files (which contained only the pcap stuff) to the correct location. I then attempted to compile the test program using; /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc -I /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS3.1.3.sdk/usr/include/ -arch armv6 -isysroot /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.1.sdk -o pcap pcap.c -lpcap This worked a lot better than other tests but produces an error; i.e. ld: library not found for -lcrt1.o collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Do you have any ideas as to how I can do this successfully? I've tried a load of different things but none seem to be successful. Basically, I just want to install (or add) some headers to the existing iPhoneOS SDK for use in compiling programs. Any ideas? • Android Packaging Problem: resources.ap_ does not exist

  I am trying to fix a problem in Eclipse for like 3 hours and I haven't made any progress. Tomorrow is the customer coming to look at my app, and I have no time left. This is really frustrating! This morning when I was coding and I wanted to run my app on my device Eclipse crashed all of a sudden. 'aapt.exe has stopped working' After this Eclipse wasn't starting anymore. It froze at the splash image. I looked on the internet and tried different solutions like going back to Java SE 6 update 20, changing .ini file etc. in the end reinstalling Eclipse did the job. Shortly after that the 'aapt.exe has stopped working' returned. I found a solution by changing my projects target. 1.5, 1.6, 2.2 doesn't matter, as long as it's different than the one before. Now I get the Error generating final archive: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\xxx\bin\resources.ap_ does not exist error. I tried clean but that doesn't work. Deleting and automatically regenarting R.java also didn't work. I ran the same code in Netbeans with the Android plugin and there it gives me the 'aapt.exe has stopped working' again :( Please guys, how can I fix this? Edit: I think I may have found the reason. • Qt static build with static mysql plugin confusion

  I have built a Qt application which uses the MySQL library, but I am confused by the documentation on static versus shared builds. From the Qt documentation at http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/deployment-windows.html it says: To deploy plugin-based applications we should use the shared library approach. And on http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/deployment.html, it says: Static linking results in a stand-alone executable. The advantage is that you will only have a few files to deploy. The disadvantages are that the executables are large and with no flexibility and that you cannot deploy plugins. To deploy plugin-based applications, you can use the shared library approach. But on http://doc.qt.nokia.com/latest/plugins-howto.html, it seems to say the opposite, giving directions on how to use static plugins: Plugins can be linked statically against your application. If you build the static version of Qt, this is the only option for including Qt's predefined plugins. Using static plugins makes the deployment less error-prone, but has the disadvantage that no functionality from plugins can be added without a complete rebuild and redistribution of the application. ... To link statically against those plugins, you need to use the Q_IMPORT_PLUGIN() macro in your application and you need to add the required plugins to your build using QTPLUGIN. I want to build the Qt libraries statically (for easy deployment) and then use the static MySQL plugin. To do this, I did NOT use the binary distrubtion for Windows. Instead, I've started with the source qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.7.4 Is the following the correct way to do a static build so that i can use the static MySql plugin? configure -static -debug-and-release -opensource -platform win32-msvc2010 -no-qt3support -no-webkit -no-script -plugin-sql-mysql -I C:\MySQL\include -L C:\MySQL\lib This should build the Qt libraries statically AND the static plugin to be linked at run-time, correct? • Pinning a Java application to the Windows 7 taskbar

  Original question I use Launch4j as a wrapper for my Java application under Windows 7, which, to my understanding, in essence forks an instance of javaw.exe that in turn interprets the Java code. As a result, when attempting to pin my application to the task bar, Windows instead pins javaw.exe. Without the required command line, my application will then not run. As you can see, Windows also does not realize that Java is the host application: the application itself is described as "Java(TM) Platform SE binary". I have tried altering the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\javaw.exe to add the value IsHostApp. This alters the behavior by disabling pinning of my application altogether; clearly not what I want. After reading about how Windows interprets instances of a single application (and a phenomenon discussed in this question), I became interested in embedding a Application User Model ID (AppUserModelID) into my Java application. I believe that I can resolve this by passing a unique AppUserModelID to Windows. There is a shell32 method for this, SetAppID(). (Or SetCurrentProcessExplicitAppUserModelID?) Is it possible to call it via JNI? If so, would this even resolve the issue? On a side note, I was curious if any of the APIs discussed in this article could be implemented for a Java application. • gcc 4.5 installation problem under ubuntu

  I tried to install gcc 4.5 on ubuntu 10.04 but failed. Here is a compile error that I don't know how to solve. Is there anyone successfully install the latest gcc on ubuntu? Following is my steps and the error message, I'd like to know where is the problem.... Step1: download these files: gcc-core-4.5.0.tar.gz gcc-g++-4.5.0.tar.gz gmp-4.3.2.tar.bz2 mpc-0.8.1.tar.gz mpfr-2.4.2.tar.gz Step2: Unzip above files Step3: move gmp, mpc, mpfr to the gcc-4.5.0/ directory. mv gmp-4.3.2 gcc-4.5.0/gmp mv mpc-0.8.1 gcc-4.5.0/mpc mv mpfr-2.4.2 gcc-4.5.0/mpfr Step4: go to gcc-4.5.0 directory and do configuration: sudo ./configure Step5: compile and install sudo make sudo make install The first 4 steps is OK, I can configure it successfully. However, when I try to compile it, following error message comes out, I cannot figure out what the problem is. Should I change the name from "gcc 4.5" to "gcc"?? It's a little strange that we need to do this by ourself. • How can I load style resources from a dynamically loaded Silverlight application (XAP)?

  I've followed Tim Heuer's video for dynamically loading other XAP's (into a 'master' Silverlight application), as well as some other links to tweak the loading of resources and am stuck on the particular issue of loading style resources from within the dynamically loaded XAP (i.e. the contents of Assets\Styles.xaml). When I run the master/hosting applcation, it successfully streams the dynamic XAP and I can read the deployment info etc. and load the assembly parts. However, when I actuall try to create an instance of a form from the Dynamic XAP, it fails with Cannot find a Resource with the Name/Key LayoutRootGridStyle which is in it's Assets\Styles.xaml file (it works if I run it directly so I know it's OK). For some reason these don't show up as application resources - not sure if I've totally got the wrong end of the stick, or am just missing something? • 2d trajectory planning of a spaceship with physics.

  I'm implementing a 2D game with ships in space. In order to do it, I'm using LÖVE, which wraps Box2D with Lua. But I believe that my question can be answered by anyone with a greater understanding of physics than myself - so pseudo code is accepted as a response. My problem is that I don't know how to move my spaceships properly on a 2D physics-enabled world. More concretely: A ship of mass m is located at an initial position {x, y}. It has an initial velocity vector of {vx, vy} (can be {0,0}). The objective is a point in {xo,yo}. The ship has to reach the objective having a velocity of {vxo, vyo} (or near it), following the shortest trajectory. There's a function called update(dt) that is called frequently (i.e. 30 times per second). On this function, the ship can modify its position and trajectory, by applying "impulses" to itself. The magnitude of the impulses is binary: you can either apply it in a given direction, or not to apply it at all). For starters, I can get better non-batch insert performance from SQL Server Express. What really struck me, however, was the slow performance of the find_nnnn queries. Why is retrieving data from MongoDB so slow? What am I missing? Edit: This was all on the local machine, no network latency or anything. MongoDB's CPU usage ran at about 75% the entire time the test was running. Edit 2: Also, I ran a trace on the benchmark program and confirmed that 50% of the CPU time spent was waiting for MongoDB to return data, so it's not a performance issue with the C# driver.

• mysql never releases memory

  I have a production server clocking about 4 million page views per month. The server has got 8GB of RAM and mysql acts as a database. I am facing problems in handling mysql to take this load. I need to restart mysql twice a day to handle this thing. The problem with mysql is that it starts with some particular occupation, the memory consumed by mysql keeps on increasing untill it reaches the maximum it can consume and then mysql stops responding slowly or does not respond at all, which freezes the server. All my tables are indexed properly and there are no long queries. I need some one to help on how to go about debugging what to do here. All my tables are myisam. I have tried configuring the parameters key_buffer etc but to no rescue. Any sort of help is greatly appreciated. • OnExit is not entering via PostSharp in asp.net project.

  Hi there, I have setup PostSharp and it appears to be working but i don't get it entering OnExit (i have logged setup to ensure it is working) ... Its a bit tricky to configure with asp.net - or is it just me ... I am using the 1.5 new version I basically have the following in my web.config and i had to add the SearchPath otherwise it can't find my assemblies <postsharp directory="C:\Program Files\PostSharp 1.5" trace="true"> <parameters> <!--<add name="parameter-name" value="parameter-value"/>--> </parameters> <searchPath> <!-- Always add the binary folder to the search path. --> <add name="bin" value="~\bin"/> </searchPath> </postsharp> I have set tracing on but what is strange to me is that it appears to build to the temp directory, maybe this is my issue, i am unsure .. hence i do F5 ... Is it possible to name the Output directory and output file?? As you can see it is editing a DLL in the temp dir so IIS is no longer in control so it doesn't execute it ??? This suggests to me that I ought to be able to give post() a pointer to a QFile. For example: QFile compressedFile("temp"); compressedFile.open(QIODevice::ReadOnly); netManager.post(QNetworkRequest(QUrl("http://mywebsite.com/upload") ), &compressedFile); What seems to happen on the Windows system where I'm developing this is that my Qt application pushes the data from the QFile, but then doesn't complete the request; it seems to be sitting there waiting for more data to show up from the file. The post request isn't "closed" until I manually kill the application, at which point the whole file shows up at my server end. From some debugging and research, I think this is happening because the read() operation of QFile doesn't return -1 when you reach the end of the file. I think that QNetworkAccessManager is trying to read from the QIODevice until it gets a -1 from read(), at which point it assumes there is no more data and closes the request. If it keeps getting a return code of zero from read(), QNetworkAccessManager assumes that there might be more data coming, and so it keeps waiting for that hypothetical data. I've confirmed with some test code that the read() operation of QFile just returns zero after you've read to the end of the file. This seems to be incompatible with the way that the post() method of QNetworkAccessManager expects a QIODevice to behave. My questions are: Is this some sort of limitation with the way that QFile works under Windows? Is there some other way I should be using either QFile or QNetworkAccessManager to push a file via post()? Is this not going to work at all, and will I have to find some other way to upload my file?
