• Links sometimes not working in WebView

  On occasion links in the WebView will not respond. The highlight press color will appear around them but nothing happens. I am also using WebViewClient's shouldOverrideUrlLoading and that function is not called when this happens. Edit: I have narrowed this issue down to the following circumstances: The webpage is the first page a WebView opens. The webpage uses meta name="viewport" attribute in the html head The WebView is using WebView.getSettings().setUseWideViewPort(true); Android 2.1 (Doesn't appear to happen in later versions, didn't test earlier) If a webpage meeting those above is opened no links will work. If another similar page is loaded, those links will not work either. It is not until you load a page without meta name="viewport" that links start to work. After a page without that meta attribute is opened and then you load a page with the meta viewport attribute, the links start working.

• Prompts for windows authentication when viewing a page in Web site

  Hello All, When i try to view a PARTICULAR page in my web site, it prompts for user name and password. Irrespective of providing proper user name/password and clicking OK or directly clicking Cancel button, the page is getting loaded properly. I am not sure why the authentication screen appears!!! It happens only for that particular page. Initially I thought it could be with file permission but copy pasted another page (which works fine) and renaming it doesn't solve the problem. Thoughts pl. EDIT I copied the source from the browser for that particular page and saved it as HTML. When i try to open the HTML file, it prompts for authentication.

• jQuery is not defined

  Hi there, I have to use an external js file, in which I load the jquery. My js file look like this: document.write('<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script>'); (function($) { $(document).ready(function() { alert('it works!!'); }); })(jQuery); On the firefox console I get the "jQuery is not defined" and I think it is because the jQuery library is loaded after the $ function from my js file. Do you have any idea about how can I fix this? If I run the script from the FF console all works fine.

  Hi, Im loading an entity 'Member' from its id in route data. [ListItemsForMembershipType(true)] public ActionResult Edit(Member someMember) {...} The attribute on the action loads the membership type list items for a dropdown box and sticks it in viewdata. This is fine for add forms, and search forms (it gets all active items) but I need the attribute to execute BASED ON THE VALUE someMember.MembershipTypeId, because its current value must always be present when loading the item (i.e. all active items, plus the one from the loaded record). So the question is, what is the standard pattern for this? How can my attribute accept the value or should I be loading the viewdata for the drop down in a controller supertype or during model binding or something else? It is in an attribute now because the code to set the viewdata would otherwise be duplicated in each usage in each action.

  Hi all, I am curious about the security of PHP on an HTML webpage where PHP code is embedded (a webpage that would exist on the server as "webpage.php") or on a PHP script that may be referenced by an HTML page (that is, a PHP script that is not actually part of a webpage that exists on the server as "something.php" and is referenced by "webpage.html"). Getting to the point, let us say that if the source code of my PHP script is known by anyone it would be a very big problem. I know that when you view the source of a PHP page in a browser the PHP script is not shown, but what if the PHP server failed and the HTML still loaded (is this even possible), would a user be able to see the PHP script? To be more general, is there ANY possible way that a user could access the source of a PHP script from a web browser, and if so, how do I prevent it?

  Is it possible to add an image(view) on top of a button (which as a background image)? I'm porting an iOS app to Android and it wasn't a problem on iOS, but I'm wondering if it is the right approach on Android because of layouts. • Self Executing jQuery Plugin?

  I am working on expansion of my jQuery plug-in authoring knowledge, just playing around with my own ideas for learning benefits. So i was wondering how you guys tackle the need of plugin executing without any user specific input. So I have a need for plug-in that executes right away after document is ready, without any user's specific input just as long as doc is loaded, so the only way I see how to execute plug-in on it's own is to attach handler to ready listener that executes my function which I extended the jQuery with. And because this needs to be self enclosed, part of the code, I attach handler to event listener within the function. So how else could one tackle this? Any take at this is appreciated. • How to add folder to assembly search path at runtime in .NET?

  My DLLs are loaded by a third-party application, which we can not customize. My assemblies have to be located in their own folder. I can not put them into GAC (my application has a requirement to be deployed using XCOPY). When the root DLL tries to load resource or type from another DLL (in the same folder), the loading fails (FileNotFound). Is it possible to add the folder where my DLLs are located to the assembly search path programmatically (from the root DLL)? I am not allowed to change the configuration files of the application.

• Working with multiple jQuery libraries and Prototype.

  Ok, i saw some other posts about this sort of thing, but not exactly related. This is not what I want to do, but need to do unfortunately. We have in this order right now Prototype 1.6 jQuery 1.2.6 with noConflict on jQuery with j I need to add jQuery 1.4.2 in that mix as well. It will always be the last one loaded. No option. Is there anyway i can do this currently? I know this is not good, yada, yada, but it has to be done for now unfortunately. Thanks, Derek

  If got a CustomCell loaded using: NSArray *nibObjects = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"CustomCell" owner:nil options:nil]; I have no problems with the tableview but when I select a row I want display more information on that row(like facebook app)... using the typical "show more". At the beginning the row show "title" and "description". When I select that row i want to show "title", "description" and a webview... and, of course, make the row bigger to accommodate that objects. Maybe changing this CustomCell by another bigger CustomCell? I have no idea where to start. Thanks. Sorry for my english :S

• How Do I Rollout WP-Cache To 1000 WordPress Blogs?

  My client has 1000 WordPress blogs hosted on a server for customers. Each one is in its own domain through cpanel and SuPHP, running in CGI mode on Apache2.2. Now he wants me (I'm the PHP programmer) to get WP-Cache loaded out on each of these blogs and not just activated, but enabled. He also wants the timeout value set to 2 days instead of the default setting. I have root on LAMP. What is the preferred way to roll out an update to each blog such that on a page view, it sees if WP-Cache is enabled or not. If not, it needs to copy it out from a central source, activate it, and then enable it along with the different timeout value being used.

• Large static arrays are slowing down class load, need a better/faster lookup method

  I have a class with a couple static arrays: an int[] with 17,720 elements a string[] with 17,720 elements I noticed when I first access this class it takes almost 2 seconds to initialize, which causes a pause in the GUI that's accessing it. Specifically, it's a lookup for Unicode character names. The first array is an index into the second array. static readonly int[] NAME_INDEX = { 0x0000, 0x0001, 0x0005, 0x002C, 0x003B, ... static readonly string[] NAMES = { "Exclamation Mark", "Digit Three", "Semicolon", "Question Mark", ... The following code is how the arrays are used (given a character code). [Note: This code isn't a performance problem] int nameIndex = Array.BinarySearch<int>(NAME_INDEX, code); if (nameIndex > 0) { return NAMES[nameIndex]; } I guess I'm looking at other options on how to structure the data so that 1) The class is quickly loaded, and 2) I can quickly get the "name" for a given character code. Should I not be storing all these thousands of elements in static arrays?

  Hi I have enabled mod_rewrite in my Xampp apache. When I run my php info page, I saw mod_rewrite under Loaded Modules. So I think it's enabled. Then I create a folder clean-url under htdocs. Inside clean-url folder I have 3 files 1) index.php here I put Welcome 2) Test. php 3) .htaccess Here I put RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)/([a-z-]+)$ /$1/$2.php [L] I want to run the index page, and by clicking on that hyper link I want to display the test.php page with URL mydomain/clean-url/test I know I am in a wrong path. Does any one help me? Or correct me? ALso i don't know any idea about url rewriting and .htaccess. Please help me.

• In Node.js, how can I load my modules once and then use them throughout the app?

  I want to create one global module file, and then have all my files require that global module file. Inside that file, I would load all the modules once and export a dictionary of loaded modules. How can I do that? I actually tried creating this file...and every time I require('global_modules'), all the modules kept reloading. It's O(n). • Google maps z-index problem in IE

  I'm loading my google maps into div class="extra" style="display: none;" /. As soon as the AJAX request is complete, the map_canvas div is placed inside the hidden div and the hidden div will be vissible with the toggleDown jquery effect. In FF it's working perfect, but in IE the Google maps (map_canvas div) is already visible before the toggleDown effect is started. I think the z-index and the relative position of the map_canvas div wich is loaded into the hidden div will place the map_canvas div on top of the hidden div. What do i have to change to make sure the map_canvas div is not on top of the hidden div? The use of document.write requires that the document be open, implying that the page hasn't reached document.complete. This gets in the way of deferring or lazy loading ad content. Putting such code at page bottom is helpful but doesn't do enough to lower all-important "page-loaded" time. Are "friendly iframes" the best we have? Is there any other alternative such as a clever way to override document.write?

Without line performance was good each page are loaded in 3 seconds but after migrating to linq as per our client requirement page comes in 8 to 10 seconds which is not acceptable performance.
