If a std::set or std::list contains a sequence of natural numbers (1, 2, 3..). would there be a function in standard library to find the missing number?
After writing all the comments inside the code about the javadoc such as
/**
* This method compares the student's answer to the standard answer * @param ans The student's answer
* @return True for correct answer; False for incorrect answer
*/
boolean compareAnswer(int ans);
I guess it starts with :
javadoc [optionss] [packages|files]
I'm not sure what is the regular or default [option] and how can I say to produce it in my current home directory?
I realize this is a ludicrous question for something that takes less than 2 seconds to implement. But I vaguely remember reading that one was introduced with the new standard.
I grep'ed VC10's headers and came up with nothing. Can you help? It's bugging me! :)
Hi, I'm relative new to C++ and my background is in Java. I have to port some code from Java to C++ and some doubts came up relative to the Object Java's class. So, if I want to port this:
void Algorithm::setInputParameter(std::string name, Object object) { ..... }
I believe I should use void* type or templates right? I don't know what's the "standard" procedure to accomplish it.
Thanks
I essentially want to reconstruct the getTickCount() windows function so I can use it in basic C++ without any non standard libraries or even the STL. (So it complies with the libraries supplied with the Android NDK)
I have looked at
clock()
localtime
time
But I'm still unsure whether it is possible to replicate the getTickCount windows function with the time library.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to do this or even if its possible?
I need to create a shortcut file that links to a sharepoint document library and then send that in an email (don't worry about outlook blocking lnk files). I have had a look at how to how to create a standard shortcut file in C# but this fails when you give it a server address (\\\)
Does anyone have an idea on how to do this.
Also would be supper to know how i can convert the link into and SPFile object so that i can also attached it to a list item once i have created it.
I have a situation where I need to extract dates from the file names whose general pattern is [filename_]YYYYMMDD[.fileExtension]
e.g. "xxx_20100326.xls" or x2v_20100326.csv
The below program does the work
//Number of charecter in the substring is set to 8
//since the length of YYYYMMDD is 8
public static string ExtractDatesFromFileNames(string fileName)
{
return fileName.Substring(fileName.IndexOf("_") + 1, 8);
}
Is there any better option of achieving the same?
I am basically looking for standard practice.
I am using C#3.0 and dotnet framework 3.5
Thanks
I am having trouble getting fancybox to display its corresponding images on a website that I'm building http://www.nomadicdrift.com/test/kaniwa#events . It's a custom one page portfolio theme that I set up on the WordPress platform.
If you follow the link to the events section you will see 1 figure item in a gallery like position. I have this image set up to work as a fancybox gallery, but when you click on it, it opens up the fancybox interface but does not place a image in the frame, even though it should. So this is the problem...the images do not show up in fancybox and instead I see just the frame.
Here is the html that I'm displaying:
<figure>
<a class="fancybox" data-fancybox-type="Fashion Show de Paris, France" href="http://www.nomadicdrift.com/test/kaniwa/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/NM2.jpg">
<img class="attachment-evento wp-post-image" width="231" height="191" title="NM" alt="NM" src="http://www.nomadicdrift.com/test/kaniwa/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/NM2-231x191.jpg">
</a>
<figcaption>
<a class="fancybox" data-fancybox-type="Fashion Show de Paris, France" href="http://www.nomadicdrift.com/test/kaniwa/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/CEDESAN.jpg"> </a>
<h4>Fashion Show de Paris, France</h4>
</figcaption>
</figure>
I'm not going to bore you with the PHP that I used to get that output because I think the problem lies elsewhere.
***I have tried to set up a simple standard fancybox gallery on the site also, but it gives me thes same problem, leading me to believe that the problem is deeper than the html markup. I have also successfully used this same markup for a one thumbnail fancybox gallery on another site.
I thought maybe it was due to some conflict in the .js files I'm using. I tried uninstalling all of my plugins/addons (which aren't too many) one by one and still had the same result. I have all of my personal javascript in the functions.js file, which is where I call the fancybox plugin using the standard $("a.fancybox").fancybox();.
I have installed this plugin before on other sites and have searched extensively for an answer, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean
In many projects, I check out the complete repository and have then the standard directory structure:
project/
branches/
tags/
trunk/
If I do an svn up project, it's all fine with the branches and trunk folders, but, of course, the tags folder is updated, too, and filled with (mostly) lots of tagged versions that are of no value for my work and only occupy disk space.
How can I except the tags folder from an svn update? Especially, how can I do this locally only, that is, without committing that back to the repository, as a solution with the svn:ignore keyword would do?
I have a structure where the main table is USER, other tables include CATEGORY (contains user_id).
What I got after the standard reverse engineering procedure was:
the class User contained a collection of categories,
the class Category didn't contain the foreign key (user_id) but it did contain the User object.
Why did it not contain the foreign key as a class property?
And how do I join these two tables in HQL without that glue?
HQL - please explain this part.
Given the rise in popularity of C# and others, (which you can point out in the comments) what future does C++ have?
Consider that most OS code is a mix of Asm/C/C++ and a lot of FOSS still use it.
Also consider the upcoming C++0x standard that brings a few changes to the mix.
Is there anything like this in the standard library? I've looked but haven't found it.
It needs to be like a list (preserves order) but also like a set (elements can only appear once).
So if you give it ['a', 'b', 'a'] it should return ['a', 'b']
Thanks!
Hi All,
Is there any way to get CVS e-mail notifications to inlude links to my ViewCVS server where clicking a link could bring up the diff ?
Currently my loginfo file just has entries like this
^installation cat | /usr/bin/Mail -s "[cvs-update installation]" [email protected]
The e-mails we all then get (Afairly standard I imagine) contain the commit message and list of files changed.
Cheers,
Ro
I have a UTF-8 encoded char*.
Is there a standard function to calculate the number of visible characters represented by the byte array?
I'm on Red Hat (RHEL 5).
What is the correct type to use in Qt development (or C++ in general) for decimal arithmetic, i.e. the equivalent of System.Decimal struct in .Net?
Does Qt provide a built-in struct? (I can't find it in the docs, but maybe don't know where to look.)
Is there a "standard" C++ library to use?
What are the advantages of using C++ based Classes/Objects over using legacy C Structures for managing standard Data Structures like Linked List, Stack, Tree, Queue ..etc? Let me know if the question is not clear.
Do you ever use a separate table for "generating" artificial primary keys for DB (and why)? What I mean is to have a table with two columns, table name and current ID - with which you could get new "ID" for some table by simply locking the row with that table name, getting the current value of the key, increment it by one, and unlock the row. Why would you prefer this over standard integer identity column?
P.S. The "idea" is from Fowlers Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture, btw...
Most Delphi developers have a list of Delphi components they wouldn't live without. Not including anything that ships with Delphi (standard VCL or included third-party software like Rave or Indy), what are the components you can't live without, be they commercial or open-source?
One component or product name per answer, please. Please do not post duplicates.
Is there any reliable and simple priority queue (linked list preferred, not necessary) implementation for C?
More generally, what C standard libraries do you use?
Do you know any easy way to find a logging call that throws "not enough argumenst for format string".
On my workstation I've modified logging/__init__.py to print the msg so I can easily find the line in the source.
But do you have any idea what to do on the testing environment where you can't change python standard library nor run pdb easily?
Hi,
I want to create a script that checks an URL and perform an action (download + unzip) when the "Last-Modified" header of the remote file changed. I thought about fetching the header with curl but then I have to store it somewhere for each file and perform a date comparison.
Does anyone have a different idea using (mostly) standard unix tools?
thanks
I have a C# function that does some processing and needs to return figures about what it has processed, success, failure, etc.
Can anyone tell me if there are any standard framework classes that will handle this (for example, number of records processed, number successful, failed, etc) ?
Alternatively, can anyone say how they usually handle this? Is the best way to create a class, or to use out parameters?
List.nth is 'T list - int - 'T, rather than the standard int - 'T list - 'T like Seq.nth.
This makes pipeline somewhat awkward.
Is there something behind the scene?
I don't know why.
consider a standard c# 'function'
public void foo()
{
//some code
}
In c or c++ this is called a 'function' - even if taking no parameters and returning no value. In another language maybe it would be a 'procedure'.
In object orientation speak it would be called a 'method' if a class member.
What would be the correct term to use in c#?
