  I'm using NetBeans 6.8 on Windows 7. Upgrade from WinXP and NetBEans 6.7. Now my existing java web app project is no longer able to import/find the packages I've developed. And yet the project still compiles and runs OK. I've tried changing the Java Platform/JDK from 1.6.0_10 back to JDK 1.5.0_22 but I still receive errors package does not exist. NTFS supports metadata journaling, which, although not completely failsafe, does mitigate certain types of potential filesystem errors. Assuming an NTFS volume is protected with BitLocker, does this reduce the failure tolerance? Would a power failure during a write to an NTFS volume, that's protected with BitLocker, be more prone to corruption than on an unencrypted NTFS volume?

  I'm using ln -f -s /var/www/html/releases/build1390 app-current to update symbolic link "app-current" with a new destination. However, this doesn't work, the link "app-current" keeps it original destination, however, I don't get any errors... I'd rather not remove the link and recreate it, just update the target of an existing link. Is that possible?

Facebook stucks on static.ak.fbcdn.net Twitter stucks on a1.twimg.com Yahoo stucks on l.yimg.com On firefox I'm receiving Waiting for ...(any of those). I can access facebook only with SSL. Like https://facebook.com I ping them, only receive request timed out. Update: When I ping static.ak.fbcdn.net I refer to a749.g.akamai.net, when I ping this server I get Request timed out.

• How can I verify the integrity of a WAN connection?

I suspect that the problem may be with the WAN link, and that TCP might not be detecting/correcting all errors.   I guess I got a virus or something and it's screwing up my connections. I'm able to browse fine in Firefox with proxies disabled, but other than that I have no connection. Currently, I need to install a program, but it requires an internet connection, and it keeps running into connection errors - same problem the other day when trying to register a product I purchased.   Is there an option or tool that will allow me to change the default naming convention for files copied into the same directory in Windows (XP) and above. e.g. from: Copy of {name}.{ext} to: {name}.{ext}.copy Currently: original_file.php Copy of original_file.php Desired: original_file.php original_file.php.copy This would make finding/working with duplicated files much easier (they auto-sort together) and the filetype (by extension) changes thus it can't accidentally "break" something (e.g. if it were a *.java file, upon compiling I would get errors)

  Hello, I've built a new machine: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 (2x 2gb) Amd Athlon II X4 630 Box AM3 I tried memtest with hiren boot cd (tested only 3gb) and showed no error. Then I tried the built in ram test from the win7 cd (2 passes no errors). I also deleted with a 0 pass the hard drive. The error I get is this: 0x0000007e (0xFFFFFFFFFC0000005,0xFFFFF8000C1AB0F3,0xFFFFF880009A8498,0xFFFFF880009A7CF0) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I thought if I removed the article for the table, made the schema change, and then added the article for the table back that the schema change would replicate. • Site hanging in iis7 - how do I troubleshoot?

  I am currently having a problem with a windows 2008 server running IIS 7. The server runs several sites but only seems to have the issue with one particular site. Every so often, the whole server slows to a crawl with nearly all requests timing out! Invariably, when we log in to take a look there is always an IIS process using up around 90% cpu. Looking into the worker processes in IIS there are usually one or two requests that have been running for a long time. They are always in the ExecuteRequestHandler state with ManagedPipeline as the module name and the current ones i'm looking at have been running for 7686248 (what units is this in, it doesn't say?). It is also not always the same page, in fact we have seen at least 3 different pages listed under url when this has happened. It seems that the only way to bring the server back to life is to kill the 90% process! The site is running under .Net 4.0 and the code on it is very similar to other sites on the server which do not have the problem! How do I start troubleshooting this?

• tmux and screen-256 TERM not supported on remote hosts

  I have set up my tmux to use screen-256colors and it works great with vim. However, when I ssh to a remote host from within tmux, screen-256colors isn't recognized, so I'm getting errors like this: E558: Terminal entry not found in terminfo 'screen-256color' not known. Available builtin terminals are: builtin_ansi builtin_xterm builtin_iris-ansi builtin_dumb defaulting to 'ansi' Other than editing each remote .bashrc (similarly to this suggestion), is there any way to set the TERM correctly and automatically on the remote host?
