  • Cakephp beforeFind() - How do I add a JOIN condition AFTER the belongsTo association is added?

    - by michael
    I'm in Model-beforeFind($queryData), trying to add a JOIN condition to the queryData on a model which has belongsTo associations. Unfortunately, the new JOIN references a table in the belongsTo association, so it must appear AFTER the belongsTo in the query. Here is my Tagged-belongsTo association: app\plugins\tags\models\tagged.php (line 192) Array ( [Tag] => Array ( [className] => Tag [foreignKey] => tag_id [conditions] => [fields] => [order] => [counterCache] => ) [Group] => Array ( [className] => Group [foreignKey] => foreign_key [conditions] => Array ( [Tagged.model] => Group ) [fields] => [order] => [counterCache] => ) ) Here is the JOIN added in Tagged-beforeFind(), notice that the belongsTo joins have not yet been added: app\plugins\tags\models\tagged.php (line 194) Array ( [conditions] => Array ( [Tag.keyname] => europe ) [fields] => Array ( [0] => DISTINCT Group.* [1] => GroupPermission.* ) [joins] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [table] => permissions [alias] => GroupPermission [foreignKey] => [type] => INNER [conditions] => Array ( [GroupPermission.model] => Group [0] => GroupPermission.foreignId = Group.id [or] => Array ( ... ) ) ) ) [limit] => [offset] => [order] => Array ( [0] => ) [page] => 1 [group] => [callbacks] => 1 [by] => europe [model] => Group ) When I check the output, it fails with "1054: Unknown column 'Group.id' in 'on clause'" because the Permissions join appeared BEFORE the Groups join. SELECT DISTINCT `Group`.*, `GroupPermission`.* FROM `tagged` AS `Tagged` INNER JOIN permissions AS `GroupPermission` ON (`GroupPermission`.`model` = 'Group' AND `GroupPermission`.`foreignId` = `Group`.`id` AND (...)) LEFT JOIN `tags` AS `Tag` ON (`Tagged`.`tag_id` = `Tag`.`id`) LEFT JOIN `groups` AS `Group` ON (`Tagged`.`foreign_key` = `Group`.`id` AND `Tagged`.`model` = 'Group') WHERE `Tag`.`keyname` = 'europe' But this SQL (with Permissions joined moved to the end) works fine: SELECT DISTINCT `Group`.*, `GroupPermission`.* FROM `tagged` AS `Tagged` LEFT JOIN `tags` AS `Tag` ON (`Tagged`.`tag_id` = `Tag`.`id`) LEFT JOIN `groups` AS `Group` ON (`Tagged`.`foreign_key` = `Group`.`id` AND `Tagged`.`model` = 'Group') INNER JOIN permissions AS `GroupPermission` ON (`GroupPermission`.`model` = 'Group' AND `GroupPermission`.`foreignId` = `Group`.`id` AND (...)) WHERE `Tag`.`keyname` = 'europe' How do I add my join in beforeFind() after the belongsTo join?

  • How can I append and execute a script inside an iframe in a cross browser way (specifically IE!)?

    - by agmin
Background: I need to load ad scripts after the DOM has loaded. Because many of the scripts use document.write() and other potentially bad functions to run after the DOM has loaded, I want to load the scripts inside an iframe. So when the ad needs to be shown, an event is triggered which does the following: var iframe = document.createElement('iframe'); iframe.setAttribute('id', 'iframeId'); iframe.setAttribute('src', 'about:blank'); var adContainer = document.getElementById('AdContainer'); adContainer.appendChild(iframe); var val = '<html><head></head><body>'; val += '<scr' + 'ipt type="text/javascript" src="' + url + '"></scr' + 'ipt>'; val += '</body></html>'; If I don't assign the html and body tags to val, the script automatically gets appended to the head of the iframe and fails to execute in FF. In IE, the script doesn't execute with or without the head/body/html tags. var doc = iframe.contentWindow || iframe.contentDocument; if (doc.document){ doc = doc.document } doc.open(); doc.write(val); doc.close(); I found this last bit of code here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1591135/why-does-appending-a-script-to-a-dynamically-created-iframe-seem-to-run-the-s. I do NOT want to load jquery in the iframe though, I just want to append a script and have it execute. My current solution seems to work great in FF and Webkit. However, IE doesn't execute the script. The script is written to the page, but doesn't start running. Is there a better way to append the script to the iframe so it will run cross browser? Or is it possible to tell IE to run the script? I know that I could load an external document with the ad script via the iframe, but I don't want to make the extra call to my server if I can do this dynamically. Also, I've tried using appendChild() on the iframe's body to insert the script, but since the script element is created outside the iframe's DOM this doesn't seem to work.

  • Perl Regular Expression [] for <>

    - by bmucklow
So I am trying to read an XML file into a string in Perl and send it as part of a SOAP message. I know this is not ideal as there are methods for SOAP sending files, however, I am limited to having to use the SOAP that is set up, and it is not set up for sending with file support. Therefore I need to parse out the markup tags < and replace them with []. What is the best way to do this?

  • Free server solution for strict content photos with geotags

    - by Max Gontar
Hi! I would like to create some kind of open free "group" posting of photos with geotags First I thought about Panoramio, but seems there is no API for photos upload. By now I can see only two ways: Flickr - there are groups but you have to approve group membership anyway, or use tags for grouping which is bad for maintenance Custom server solution which will cost efforts and hosting Can you suggest other free photo services with geotags functionality, or opensource solutions? Thank you!

  • What's the easiest way to add Java servlets to a WAMP configured machine?

    - by Rhubarb
I have WAMP installed on my local machine and am looking to serve up charts using jFree's Eastwood charting, which requires me to use servlets. So basically I will insert images with src tags that have URLs pointing to my servlet on the same machine. What's the easiest way to enable servlets on the same machine? Do I need to install a servlet server on a different port? Or is there a way to integrate it into WAMP?

  • Good JavaScript engine for animating via Sprite Sheets (not in canvas)

    - by N. Taylor Mullen
I've looked around a bit for a great JavaScript Sprite Sheet animator lib/engine but couldn't find any good ones so I thought I'd ask around =). What I'm looking for in the engine is: Animate an image in a non-canvas setting (ex: div via css or img tags) Control frame rate/animation speed Flags to loop or to animate once etc. Are there any engines like this out there? If not I can always make my own but then again, I don't want to re-invent the wheel =].

  • What the guidelines around filters and querystring parameters in RSS Feeds?

    - by Chris Henry
I run a site where users can content that is tagged by a special set of tags. While implementing RSS feeds, I was wondering what, if any, rules or guidelines exist for using a querystring to filter what content an RSS feed shows. For example, the feed that shows all content on the site would be: /feed If someone was interested in all the work that was tagged with fashion, the URL would be /feed?tag=fashion

  • Moving Function With Arguments To RequireJS

    - by Jazimov
I'm not only relatively new to JavaScript but also to RequireJS (coming from string C# background). Currently on my web page I have a number of JavaScript functions. Each one takes two arguments. Imagine that they look like this: functionA(x1, y1) { ... } functionB(x2, y2) { ... } functionC(x3, y3) { ... } Currently, these functions exist in a tag on my HTML page and I simply call each as needed. My functions have dependencies on KnockoutJS, jQuery, and some other JS libraries. I currently have Script tags that synchronously load those external .js dependencies. But I want to use RequireJS so that they're loaded asynchronously, as needed. To do this, I plan to move all three functions above into an external .js file (a type of AMD "module") called MyFunctions.js. That file will have a define() call (to RequireJS's define function) that will look something like this: define(["knockout", "jquery", ...], function("ko","jquery", ...) {???} ); My question is how to "wrap" my functionA, functionB, and functionC functions where the ??? is above so that I can use those functions on my page as needed. For example, in the onclick event handler for a button on my HTML page, I would want to call functionA and pass two it two arguments; same for functionB and functionC. I don't fully understand how to expose those functions when they're wrapped in a define that itself is located in an external .js file. I know that define assures that my listed libraries are loaded asynchronously before the callback function is called, but after that's done I don't understand how the web page's script tags would use my functions. Would I need to use require to ensure they're available, such as: require(["myfunctions"],function({not sure what to put here})] I think I understand the basics of RequireJS but I don't understand how to wrap my functions so that they're in external .js files, don't pollute the global namespace, and yet can still be called from the main page so that arguments can be passed to them. I imagine they're are many ways to do this but in reviewing the RequireJS docs and some videos out there, I can't say I understand how... Thank you for any help.

  • NetBeans Bundle.properties Property Naming Convention.

    - by javacavaj
What is the recommended naming convention for properties added to the Bundle.properties file in NetBeans? Should properties added by developers be prefixed with tags similar to those of NetBeans. I've noted several in use (e.g., CTL_, HINT_, MSG_, TXT_), but no guidance on where each should be used or if they should be used only by the NetBeans team. Also, should be suffix be a keyword or the entire word/phrase being translated?

  • Websites that archive cross-browser css/js bugs?

    - by meder
I'm about to develop my own browser inconsistency/bug compendium site but I'm wondering if I really need to - can we get a wiki of sites that do this already? I'm aware of a lot of them but I hope I'm not missing out on some major ones. I wanted mine to be more intuitive and social-like for most people, powered by tags and screenshots and test-case pages.

  • trouble setting node['chef-client']['interval']

    - by atiniir
I've searched many places and haven't get found the answer to this, I suspect I'm missing something either fundamental or basic (maybe both) I'm using the chef-client::windows_service recipe and trying to set the interval and can't seem to sort it out. I've tried at the role level with: { "defaults": { "chef_client": { "interval":15 } }, "overrides":{ } } and at the node level with: { "chef_client": { "interval":25 }, "tags":[] } but the interval on the node is still 1800 (default)

  • Auto discover projects in continous integration Tools

    - by vmiazzo
We have a code base composed of many projects. Currently each time we add a project on SVN we must reconfigure CruiseControl to start build and test on such project. I'm looking for a tool (better if open source) able to scan the SVN repository and find new projects by itself. A project can be "a SVN folder containing trunk, tags, branches subfolders". Even better if the tool supports multistaged continous integration and build on demand. Thanks

  • extract all urls from a string

    - by codemonkey12
I have a string of text that contains html, and I need to extract each url (most likely in img or a tags) to create a generic list of string objects. Is there an easy way to do this or will I have to resort to regular expressions? If I have to resort to regular expressions, would you mind helping me out with that as well? :)

  • JAVA: XML parsers gives null element

    - by Johan
    When I try to parse a XML-file, it gives sometimes a null element by the title. I think it has to do with HTML-tags &#039; How can I solve this problem? I have the follow XML-file: <item> <title>&#039; Nieuwe DVD &#039;</title> <description>tekst, tekst tekst</description> <link>dvd.html</link> <category>nieuws</category> <pubDate>Sat, 1 Jan 2011 9:24:00 +0000</pubDate> </item> And the follow code to parse the xml-file: //DocumentBuilderFactory, DocumentBuilder are used for //xml parsing DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory .newInstance(); DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder(); //using db (Document Builder) parse xml data and assign //it to Element Document document = db.parse(is); Element element = document.getDocumentElement(); //take rss nodes to NodeList element.normalize(); NodeList nodeList = element.getElementsByTagName("item"); if (nodeList.getLength() > 0) { for (int i = 0; i < nodeList.getLength(); i++) { //take each entry (corresponds to <item></item> tags in //xml data Element entry = (Element) nodeList.item(i); entry.normalize(); Element _titleE = (Element) entry.getElementsByTagName( "title").item(0); Element _categoryE = (Element) entry .getElementsByTagName("category").item(0); Element _pubDateE = (Element) entry .getElementsByTagName("pubDate").item(0); Element _linkE = (Element) entry.getElementsByTagName( "link").item(0); String _title = _titleE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue(); String _category = _categoryE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue(); Date _pubDate = new Date(_pubDateE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue()); String _link = _linkE.getFirstChild().getNodeValue(); //create RssItemObject and add it to the ArrayList RssItem rssItem = new RssItem(_title, _category, _pubDate, _link); rssItems.add(rssItem); conn.disconnect(); }
