  • How to create project specific respository post-commit actions

    - by Pacifika
Presently, we've got several main projects each in their own repository. We will have to version-control up to a dozen additional projects. VisualSVN recommends to create 1 respository for our company and then vc all projects inside that. It's a good practice to create one repository for the entire company or department and store all your projects in this repository. Creating separate repository for each project is not a good idea because in that case you will not be able to perform Subversion operations like copy, diff and merge cross-project. VisualSvn.com Currently we're using post-commit hooks to update the testing server with the latest commit and do other project specific actions (such as emailing certain people for one project but not for others) depending on which project has been committed. As post-commit runs for the whole repository, is this still possible in such a situation? How would I go about decerning which project has changes? filter folder structure?

  • How to create and download an XML without storing it on the server

    - by CiccioMiami
NET Web Forms** application. I would like to create a download link to make available to the user the possibility to download an XML file. However the file does not have to be stored on the server. In my aspx file I have the download link (placed inside a GridView): <asp:HyperLinField Text="Download" DataNavigateUrlFormatString="download.aspx?ProductId={0}" DataNavigateUrlFields="ProductId"> In the download.aspx.vb page: Dim productId As String = Request.QueryString("productId") Dim xmlDoc As String = _ProductServices.GetXmlDocPerId(productId) Dim xdoc As XmlDocument = New XmlDocument() xdoc.LoadXml(xmlLicense) Now I would like to create a file, place the XML content inside and deliver it to the user without saving it to the server. Shall I use a MemoryStream combined with a StreamReader?

To do i wrote below code but all the input fields are running keyPress with same parameter.. :( ///////////////////Checks all available 'text' 'input's//////////////////// var inputs = document.getElementsByTagName('input'); var cnvtrInput = new Array(); for (var index = 0; index < inputs.length; index++) { if (inputs[index].type == 'text') { cnvtrInput[index] = new converter(inputs[index]); inputs[index].onkeypress = function() {return keyPess(cnvtrInput[index])}; } } //index--; With the last commented statement i found that the passing element of keyPress is the last value of index; Finally i tried same with textareas but failed...

  • Naming suggestions for a function returning parent prototype

    - by hevalbaranov
I'm having a naming trouble with a function which returns parent prototype of specified object. It's being used like this: # Pseudo Code MyClass { super(MyClass,this).constructor.call(.... The problem is that I want to use a word which is as superior as "super", but "super" is reserved even it's undefined. Now I'm using "parent", but the window object has a property named parent. I hate Javascript. What should I name this function? Names have to start with lowercase and have to be short.

  • How to pass an xpath into an xquery function declaration

    - by topmulch
Hi all, I use Apache Tomcat's Exist DB as an XML database and am trying to construct a sequence by passing the following xpath, defined in FLWOR's 'let' clause: $xpath := $root/second/third into a locally defined function declaration, like so: declare function local:someFunction($uuid as xs:string?, $xpath as xs:anyAtomicType?) { let $varOne := $xpath/fourth[@uuid = $uuid]/fifthRight let $varTwo := $xpath/fourth[@uuid = $uuid]/fifthLeft let $combined := ($varOne,$varTwo) return $combined }; Of course, when entering this in the exist xquery sandbox, I get Type: xs:anyAtomicType is not defined. What should I use in place of it, or should I do this a different way? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • How to create a complete generic TreeView like data structure

    - by Nima Rikhtegar
I want to create a completely generic treeview like structure. some thing like this: public class TreeView<T, K, L> { public T source; public K parent; public List<L> children; } as you can see in this class source, parent and also the children, all have a different generic data type. also i want my tree view to have unlimited number of levels (not just 3). this way when i want to work with my nodes in the code, all of them are going to be strongly typed. not just objects that i need to convert them to their original type. is it possible to create this kind of structure in c#, a treeview which all of its nodes are strongly typed? thanks

  • How can I create bootable DOS usb stick?

    - by Grzenio
I need to use this utility to change one of the parameters of my new WD hard drive: http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=609&sid=113&lang=en It has truly unreadable instructions: Extract wdidle3.exe onto a bootable medium (floppy, CD-RW, network drive, etc.). Boot the system with the hard drive to be updated to the medium where the update file was extracted to. Run the file by typing wdidle3.exe at the command prompt and press enter. I understand that this bootable medium should be some version of DOS? How can I make my USB stick a bootable medium compatible with this utility (I don't have a diskette drive)? I have Windows 7 and Debian Linux installed.

  • JS 2 minute countdown then execute a function?

    - by Cyprus106
I'm not that great at Javascript, for the record! I DO know how to use ajax. I just need a bit of help. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to display a 5 minute countdown, and once the countdown hits zero, to run a function. I need to pass a variable to the function that needs to run. I tried SetInterval but this isn't exactly my strong suit. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can post the code I've got, but I would equate it to a gorilla fumbling in the dark at a typewriter!

  • Create a view like Tweetie's User Profile view

    - by Graeme
Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea on how you can create a view that looks like the user profile view in apps like Tweetie, where there are seemingly multiple tables with a couple of normal (straight up and down tables) and then two rows of six cells, which in Tweeties case have the number of followers, following etc. I'm trying to make a similar view for my app, but can't seem to find out the best way to create it. Any tutorials, advice etc. would be appreciated. Thanks. P.S. Here's a picture of the view which I'm trying to recreate.

  • Object's field cannot be accessed after $.ajax call in success function - it is undefined

    - by dragonfly
I have a $.ajax call and and server returns JSON. This is my call: var result; // tmp variable just for playing with Chrome console $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "ashxJSON.ashx", data: { name: "some sample data" }, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { result = msg; console.log(msg); $("#output").append("<p>" + msg.message + "</p>"); }, error: function (jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) { console.log(textStatus); console.log(errorThrown); } }); Server returns exactly this string: { "messsage": "Hello World to ..."} And now, when I: console.log(msg) I see: Object messsage: "Hello World to..." proto: Object But when I access msg.message or msg["message"] I see: undefined What is wrong with me / that msg object?

  • Why use event listeners over function calls?

    - by Organiccat
I've been studying event listeners lately and I think I've finally gotten them down. Basically, they are functions that are called on another object's method. My question is, why create an event listener when calling the function will work just fine? Example, I want to call player.display_health(), and when this is fired, the method player.get_health() should be fired and stored so that display_health() has access to it. Why should I use an event listener over simply calling the function? Even if display_health() were in another object, this still doesn't appear to be a problem to me. If you have another example that fits the usage better, please let me know. Perhaps particular languages don't benefit from it as much? (Javascript, PHP, ASP?)

  • uint8_t and unsigned char linking error

    - by mnn
I'm using template function: template<typename T> void func(const T& value) { obj->func(value); } where obj is object of class: void my_object::func(int64_t value) { ... } void my_object::func(uint64_t value) { ... } void my_object::func(uint32_t value) { ... } void my_object::func(uint16_t value) { ... } void my_object::func(uint8_t value) { ... } The problem is with uint8_t overload of my_object::func() override. Linker complains about unresolved external symbols to overloads, which should have unsigned char parameter. Should I replace uint8_t overload with unsigned char overload? Edit: Just now noticed, that linker complains about uint64_t and int64_t too. I compile on Windows using MSVC++ 2008 Express.

  • jQuery, my function is return a FUNCTION and not an integer?

    - by AnApprentice
Hello, i have the following func: viewModel.unreadCount = ko.dependentObservable(function() { var unreadCount = 0; for (var i = 0; i x< xxxxxxxxxxxx.length; i++) { if (xxxxxx == false) { unreadCount++; } } return unreadCount; }, viewModel); When I use this in knockout JS, I can't do a simple if (viewModel.unreadCount()==0), like this: <div data-bind="visible: viewModel.unreadCount()==0"> It turns out because when I run: <p>${ (typeof viewModel.unreadCount) }</p> I get "function" Any ideas why that is and how I can get it to return an INT so I can do an if statement? Thanks
