  • Jquery Mobile is adding text above my "<input type=submit"> automatically, how do i prevent this?

    I've just begin work on a mobile version for one of my sites. I've set up my sign up form for my users. It worked fine and the CSS styled it correctly. @using (Html.BeginForm("XXX", "Registration", FormMethod.Post, new { @class = "twitter-sign-in-container" })) { <input type="submit" name="twitter-button" value="Sign in with Twitter" id="twitter-button" /> } Once I added Jquery mobile to the project if found that random unstyled text started to show up. On inspection I found that all input submits where being wrapped in new tags and adding un tagged text == to the inputs "Value": <form action="/registration/xxx" class="twitter-sign-in-container" method="post"> <div class="ui-btn ui-input-btn ui-corner-all ui-shadow"> "Sign in with Twitter" <input type="submit" name="twitter-button" value="Sign in with Twitter" id="twitter-button"> </div> </form> Does anyone have any clue as to why the "sign up with twitter" text is being added, and how i stop it? P.S Less important but I'd also like to know why Jquery wraps form contents in the bellow div.

They can't be stored in frames as they will get destroyed when the function returns. PS - Can someone suggest a good book that talks about memory mapping for C/C++.

  • Related Models in Rails 3

    Hi, I am just starting my first Rails 3 project and am having some difficulties. I have two related models, projects and clients. I have set up the relationships as has_many and belongs_to. However in my projects views I can only access the client_id of the project. I would like to access the client's name and other parameters. I am sure that previously in rails, I could just use project.client.name, but this is not working. Is there a new feature of Rails 3 that I have missed? Cheers

  • What scripts should not be ported from bash to python?

    I decided to rewrite all our Bash scripts in Python (there are not so many of them) as my first Python project. The reason for it is that although being quite fluent in Bash I feel it's somewhat archaic language and since our system is in the first stages of its developments I think switching to Python now will be the right thing to do. Are there scripts that should always be written in Bash? For example, we have an init.d daemon script - is it OK to use Python for it? We run CentOS. Thanks.

    I have an applet which creates music using the JFugue API and plays it for the user. It allows the user to input a music phrase which the piece will be based on, or lets them choose to have a phrase generated randomly. I had been using the following method (successfully) to simply stop and start the music, which runs in a thread using the Player class from JFugue. Basically, the idea is to make it simulate "real time" adjustments to the generated music for the user. Well, I have been beating my head against the wall on this for a couple of weeks. I've read all the standard java documentation, researched, read, and searched forums, and I have tried many different ideas, none of which have succeeded. The problem I've run into with all approaches I've tried is that when I start the new thread with the new, updated musical pattern, all the old threads ALSO start, and there is a cacophony of unintelligible noise instead of my desired output. From what I've gathered, the issue seems to be that all the methods I've come across require that the thread is able to periodically check the value of a "flag" variable and then shut itself down from within its "run" block in response to that variable. However, since my thread makes a call that takes several minutes minimum to execute (playing the music), and I need to terminate it WHILE it is executing this, there is really no safe way to do so. So, I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing when it comes to threads, or if perhaps I can accomplish my goal using a totally different approach. Any ideas or guidance is greatly appreciated!   • MEF C# Service - DLL Updating

    Currently, I have a C# service that runs off of many .dll's and has modules/plugins that it imports at startup. I would like to create an update system that basically stops the service, deletes any files it is told to delete (old versions), downloads new versions from a server, and starts the service. I believe I have coded this right except for the delete part, because as long as I am not overwriting anything, the file will download. If I try to overwrite something, it won't work, which is why I am trying to delete it before hand. However, when I do File.Delete() to the path that I want to do, it gives me access to the path is denied. I though stopping the service would work, but apparently not. I have also checked the files and they are not read-only (but the folder is, which is located in Program Files, however I couldn't seem to get it to not be read-only programmatically or manually). The service is also being run as an administrator (NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM). I've read about unloading the AppDomain but AppDomain.Unload(AppDomain.CurrentDomain); returned an exception as well. Not too sure even if this is a problem with MEF or my program just not having the correct permissions...I would assume that it's mainly because the file is in use.

  • why winform using external dll(VC) and ocx(VC) control can only import one?

    we have a .net framework application with a vc dll and a vc ocx, and now if we only import one dll ,it is ok, but when we import both, it will pop a messagebox saying: Debug Assertion Failed! and i studied the child module of our application that import the vc dll, i found after the framework import vc ocx and initialize , then the function LoadLibrary in our module importing the vc dll would return 0, that means memory limited or call improperly, i use getlasterror() the error code is 1114. so it is very frustrated ,hope someone can help me.

  • C# Why does calling an interface member from a class generate an error?

    So I have an interface: interface IFoo { int Bar(); int this[int i] {get; set;} } And a class that derives from it class Foo : IFoo { public int IFoo.Bar() { //Implementation { public int IFoo.this[int i] { //Implementation } } Now, I try to do this: var fooey = new Foo(); int i = Fooey.Bar(); or this: int i = Fooey[4]; I would expect these to work properly. However, the compiler generates an error as if such members don't exist. Why is that? I am aware I can cast Foo as IFoo, but I am also aware that casting is costly to performance, which is often the reason to use interfaces in the first place. EDIT 1: These are the errors generated 'Foo' does not contain a definition for 'Bar' and no extension method 'Bar' accepting a first argument of type 'Foo' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) "Cannot apply indexing to an expression of type 'Foo'"

    Hi everyone. I am trying to run the following simple query on a table with 500K records. SELECT COUNT(*) AS impressionCount FROM impression WHERE 0 = 0 AND impressionObjectId1 = 'C69A54B8-B828-E2E4-2319A93011DF4120' AND impressionObjectId2 = '1'; This query is taking 10 seconds to run. I have tried creating individual indexes for the impressionObjectId1 and impressionObjectId2 columns, as well as a composite index using both. The composite worked well for a while, but now it is also slow. Here is my table structure: DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `impression`; CREATE TABLE `impression` ( `impressionId` varchar(50) NOT NULL, `impressionObjectId1` varchar(50) NOT NULL, `impressionObjectId2` varchar(50) default NULL, `impressionStampDate` datetime NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`impressionId`), KEY `IX_object` (`impressionObjectId1`,`impressionObjectId2`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 ROW_FORMAT=DYNAMIC COMMENT='InnoDB free: 191488 kB'; Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
