    I have a list of urls, which can come in any format. One per line, separated by commas, have random text in between them, etc. the URLs are all from 2 different sites, and have a similar structure For this example, lets say it looks like this Random Text - http://www.domain2.com/variable-value Random Text 2 - http://www.domain1.com/variable-value, http://www.domain1.com/variable-value, http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain2.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain2.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value I need to extract 2 pieces of information. Check to see if its domain1 or domain2 and the value that follows "variable-" So it should create a multi-dimensional array, which would have 2 items: domain + value. Whats the best way of doing that?

  • Double Linked List header node keeps returning first value as 0

    I will preface to say that this is my first question. I am currently getting my Masters degree in Information Security and I had to take C++ programming this semester. So this is homework related. I am not looking for you to answer my homework but I am running into a peculiar situation. I have created the program to work with a doubly linked list and everything works fine. However when I have the user create a list of values the first node keeps returning 0. I have tried finding some reading on this and I cannot locate any reference to it. My question is then is the header node(first node) always going to be zero? Or am I doing something wrong. case: 'C': cout<<"Please enter a list:"<<endl; while(n!=-999){ myList.insert(n); cin>> n;} break; I now enter: 12321, 1234,64564,346346. The results in 0, 12321, 1234, 64564,346346. Is this what should happen or am I doing something wrong? Also as this is my first post please feel free to criticize or teach me how to color code the keywords. Anyway this is a homework assignment so I am only looking for guidance and constructive criticism. I have PHP set up correctly because I have no problem running .php files. The problem, it seems to me, is that IIS can't render php code embedded inside html. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or should i switch to Apache?

The 'work' table has a 'draft' column with values of either 1 or 0. I want the COUNT(tags.id) to take into account whether the work with the specific tag is in draft mode (1) or not. Say there are 10 pieces of work tagged with, for example, 'design'. The COUNT will be 10. But 2 of these pieces of work are in draft mode, so the COUNT should really be 8. How do I manage this?

  • Having trouble applying style to SVG using JavaScript upon object creation

    Hi, I have a function which creates an SVG text object using JavaScript. As soon as the object is created, I want it to have the style attribute which in CSS would be text-anchor: left. Currently, it doesn't work. I have tried many variations, and I also read that when using styles in JavaScript you must remove any '-' dashes and format the attribute name in camel casing (is this true?).   • Jquery: Incrimentation for each set of elements in more than 1 div

    I'm making a Jquery slideshow. It lists thumbnails, that when clicked on, reveal the large image as an overlay. To match up the thumbs with the large images I'm adding attributes to each thumbnail and large image. The attributes contain a number which matches each thumb to its corresponding large image. It works when one slideshow is present on a page. But I want it to work if more than one slideshow is present. Here's the code for adding attributes to thumbs and large images: thumbNo = 0; largeNo = 0; $(this + '.slideshow_content .thumbs img').each(function() { thumbNo++; $(this).attr('thumbimage', thumbNo); $(this).attr("title", "Enter image gallery"); }); $(this + '.slideshow_content .image_container .holder img').each(function() { largeNo++; $(this).addClass('largeImage' + largeNo); }); This works. To make the incrementation work when there are two slideshows on a page, I thought I could stick this code in an each function... $('.slideshow').each(function() { thumbNo = 0; largeNo = 0; $(this + '.slideshow_content .thumbs img').each(function() { thumbNo++; $(this).attr('thumbimage', thumbNo); $(this).attr("title", "Enter image gallery"); }); $(this + '.slideshow_content .image_container .holder img').each(function() { largeNo++; $(this).addClass('largeImage' + largeNo); }); }); The problem with this is that the incrimenting operator does not reset for the second slideshow div (.slideshow), so I end up with thumbs in the first .slideshow div being numbered 1,2,3 etc.. and thumbs in the second .slideshow div being numbered 4,5,6 etc. How do I make the numbers in the second .slideshow div reset and start from 1 again? This is really hard to explain concisely. I hope someone gets the gist.

    I have a Rect object that I'd like to create and set its properties only once. After that, I want to just modify its properties since it already exists. Everytime this code block runs, and depending on which version I've used, it either gives me a "can't access null object" error or the if statement always evaluates to true and creates a new Rect object and I get the "creating" Alert. What's the right way of creating that Rect but only if doesn't exist?

    I would like to accomplish the following: If a username or password field is null, notify the user. If user name already exists, do not insert into the database and notify user to create a different name. if the username is unique and password is not null, return the username to the user. As of now it always returns "Please enter a different user name." I believe the issue has to do with the database query but I am not sure. I'm sure I could do it with a simple select statement and then have PHP make the array look like this but I'm hoping this can be done with some kind of fancy db joining or something like that.     I'd like to have my Axis2 Web Service read from a configuration file, whose name is sent as a parameter to the service. Where is the best place to put this file? And How to best access it? Examples welcome. I've checked the current directory is the Apache/Tomcat/bin file, I could put it in the parent directory, or put it into a Apache/Tomcat/conf, although this looks like it's more reserved for apache configuration itself.

Is it possible at all and how to do it? Or has it has to raise IOException in such cases?

How to deal with this ? Thanx.

  • Are programming languages and methods ineffective? (assembler and C knowledge needed)

    Hi, for a long time, I am thinking and studying output of C language compiler in asemlber form, as well as CPU architecture. I know this may be silly to you, but it seems to me that something is very ineffective. Please, don´t be angry if I am wrong, and there is some reason I do not see for all these principles. I will be very glad if you tell me why is it designed this way. I actually trully believe I am wrong, I know the genius minds of people which get PCs together knew a reason to do so. What exactly, do you ask? I´ll tell you right away, I use C as a example: 1, Stack local scope memory allocation: So, typical local memory allocation uses stack. Just copy esp to ebp and than allocate all the memory via ebp. OK, I would understand this if you explicitly need allocate RAM by default stack values, but if I do understand it correctly, modern OS use paging as a translation layer between application and physical RAM, when adress you desire is further translated before reaching actuall RAM byte. So why don´t just say 0x00000000 is int a,0x00000004 is int b and so? And access them just by mov 0x00000000,#10? Becouse you wont actually access memory blocks 0x00000000 and 0x00000004 but those your OS set the paging tables to. Actually, since memory allocation by ebp and esp use indirect adressing, "my" way would be even faster. 2, Variable allocation duplicitly: When you run aaplication, Loader load its code into RAM. When you create variable, or string, compiler generates code that pushes these values on the top o stack when created in main. So there is actuall instruction for do so, and that actuall number in memory. So, there are 2 entries of the same value in RAM. One in fomr of instruction, second in form of actuall bytes in the RAM. But why? Why not to just when declaring variable count at which memory block it would be, than when used, just insert this memory location?

Does anyone know why this would stop reading? How could I fix the issue?
