  • Zend Framework how to echo value of SUM query

    Hello, I created a query for the zend framework, in which I try to retrieve the sum of a column, in this case the column named 'time'. This is the query I use: $this->timequery = $this->db_tasks->fetchAll($this->db_tasks->select()->from('tasks', 'SUM(time)')->where('projectnumber =' . $this->value_project)); $this->view->sumtime = $this->timequery; Echoing the query tells me this is right. But I can't echo the result properly. Currently I'm using: echo $this->sumtime['SUM(time)']; Returning the following error: Catchable fatal error: Object of class Zend_Db_Table_Row could not be converted to string in C:\xampp\htdocs\BManagement\application\views\scripts\tasks\index.phtml on line 46 Line 46 being the line with the echo in my view. I've been searching now for two days on how to figure this out, or achieve the same result in a different way. Tried to serialize the value, but that didn't work either. Is there somebody who knows how to achieve the total sum of a database column? Any help is greatly appriciated! note: Pretty new to zend framework...

This is the regex I am talking about: ^\"((\w|\s)+)\"$ I came up with this for Latex: \grave{ }\backslash\"'((\backslash w\| \backslash s)+)\backslash \"' \backslash \$ This gives me like 10 errors, and I can't really see what is wrong.   • Client authentication with RubyLDAP ldap

    Hello all, I'm trying to implement a feature that uses LDAP over SSL (SSL, not TLS), it needs to connect to a SSL-enabled LDAP server (i.e OpenLDAP), bind and then do any additional queries. It also needs to support client-authentication, and this is where things get tricky: The client is a web application written in Ruby, and we are using RubyLDAP (so far we have used it for non-SSL ldap stuff with great success). My question is: Is there a way to load a client certificate and send its data over the wire to the LDAP server when doing a LDAP::SSLConn? I haven't found anything obvious on the API docs (http://ruby-ldap.sourceforge.net/rdoc/) nor while googling around. I know I that I can prevent the server from asking for a certificate by putting the following on slapd.conf (OpenLDAP): TLSVerifyClient never However, this is not an option here. Thanks, Marcelo.

The datastore needs to support: Storing the votes Summarising the votes in near-realtime Preventing multiple votes within an arbitrary time period (e.g. clients can only vote once for a piece of content every 1 minute) Something that already has client libraries for Node.js would be preferable.

    Would you guys show me a way to simulating concurrent access to memcache on Google App Engine? I'm trying with LocalServiceTestHelpers and threads but don't have any luck. Every time I try to access Memcache within a thread, then I get this error: ApiProxy$CallNotFoundException: The API package 'memcache' or call 'Increment()' was not found I guess that the testing library of GAE SDK tried to mimic the real environment and thus setup the environment for only one thread (the thread that running the test) which cannot be seen by other thread. I imagine I have put attr at a wrong location. Where am I supposed to specify it ?

  • Eclipse says I don't implement Enumeration, but I do

    Goodmorning everybody, I'm having a little problem with a project for school. We are told to make an Iterator that implements Enumeration over a Hashmap. The problem now is that eclipse keeps telling me I havent implemented the methods from Enumeration. If I use the quick fix it just adds the hasMoreElements() and nextElement() dummy methods in my class. Somehow it doesn't see these methods in the inner class.. Can anyone help me please? Any help is appreciated.

  • Embedded SQL in OO languages like Java

    One of the things that annoys me working with SQL in OO languages is having to define SQL statements in strings. When I used to work on IBM mainframes, the languages used an SQL preprocessor to parse SQL statements out of the native code, so the statements could be written in cleartext SQL without the obfuscation of strings, for instance in Cobol there is a EXEC SQL .... END-EXEC syntax construct that allows pure SQL statements to be embedded in the Cobol code. <pure cobol code, including assignment of value to local variable HOSTVARIABLE> EXEC SQL SELECT COL_A, COL_B, COL_C INTO :COLA, :COLB, :COLC FROM TAB_A WHERE COL_D = :HOSTVARIABLE END_EXEC <more cobol code, variables COLA, COLB, COLC have been set> ...this makes the SQL statement really easy to read & check for errors. Between the EXEC SQL .... END-EXEC tokens there are no constraints on indentation, linebreaking etc., so you can format the SQL statement according to taste. Note that this example is for a single-row select, when a multiple-row resultset is expected, the coding is different (but still v. easy to read). So, taking Java as an example What made the "old COBOL" approach undesirable ? Not only SQL, but system calls could be made much more readable with that approach. Let's call it the embedded foreign language preprocessor approach. Would an embedded foreign language preprocessor for SQL be useful to implement ? Would you see a benefit in being able to write native SQL statements inside java code ? Edit I'm really asking if you think SQL in OO languages is a throwback, and if not then what could be done to make it better.

  • Custom draw button using uxtheme.dll

    I have implemented my custom button inheriting from CButton and drawing it by using uxtheme.dll (DrawThemeBackground with BP_PUSHBUTTON). Everything works fine but I have two statuses (Normal and Pressed) which Hot status is the same. It means when the user places the cursor over the button it is drawn alike regardless the button status (Pressed or not). This is a bit confusing to the user and I would like to change the way the button is drawn in Pressed & Hot status. Does anybody know a way? I have also thought about custumizing the whole drawing but the buttons use gradients, borders, shadows, etc. So it is not easy to achive the same look&feel drawing everything by myself. Is there a way to find the source code of the dll or know how to do it? Thanks in advance. Javier

    I want to track the workspace of eclipse by source control so that important settings can be backed up. However, there are a lot of kind of *.index inside the .metadata folder of workspace. Some information are important, for example Mylyn repository, but some information is merely cached files and thus, doesn't make sense to me for being tracked. In short, what files inside eclipse workspace that should be tracked so that I can restore the working workspace after problems (like meta data file deleted, etc.)

    Is there a faster way to rotate a large bitmap by 90 or 270 degrees than simply doing a nested loop with inverted coordinates? The bitmaps are 8bpp and typically 2048*2400*8bpp Currently I do this by simply copying with argument inversion, roughly (pseudo code: for x = 0 to 2048-1 for y = 0 to 2048-1 dest[x][y]=src[y][x]; (In reality I do it with pointers, for a bit more speed, but that is roughly the same magnitude) GDI is quite slow with large images, and GPU load/store times for textures (GF7 cards) are in the same magnitude as the current CPU time. Any tips, pointers? An in-place algorithm would even be better, but speed is more important than being in-place. Target is Delphi, but it is more an algorithmic question. SSE(2) vectorization no problem, it is a big enough problem for me to code it in assembler Duplicates How do you rotate a two dimensional array?. Follow up to Nils' answer Image 2048x2700 - 2700x2048 Compiler Turbo Explorer 2006 with optimization on. Windows: Power scheme set to "Always on". (important!!!!) Machine: Core2 6600 (2.4 GHz) time with old routine: 32ms (step 1) time with stepsize 8 : 12ms time with stepsize 16 : 10ms time with stepsize 32+ : 9ms Meanwhile I also tested on a Athlon 64 X2 (5200+ iirc), and the speed up there was slightly more than a factor four (80 to 19 ms). The speed up is well worth it, thanks. Maybe that during the summer months I'll torture myself with a SSE(2) version.     I have a hash in which I store the products a customer buys (%orders). It uses the product code as key and has a reference to an array with the other info as value. At the end of the program, I have to rewrite the inventory to the updated version (i.e. subtract the quantity of the bought items) This is how I do rewrite the inventory: sub rewriteInventory{ open(FILE,'>inv.txt'); foreach $key(%inventory){ print FILE "$key\|$inventory{$key}[0]\|$inventory{$key}[1]\|$inventory{$key}[2]\n" } close(FILE); } where $inventory{$key}[x] is 0 → Title, 1 → price, 2 → quantity. The problem here is that when I look at inv.txt afterwards, I see things like this: CD-911|Lady Gaga - The Fame|15.99|21 ARRAY(0x145030c)||| BOOK-1453|The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown|14.75|12 ARRAY(0x145bee4)||| Where do these ARRAY(0x145030c)||| entries come from? Or more important, how do I get rid of them?

  • Devise within namespace

    Hey, I'm trying to split my rails project in a front-end for regular users and a back-end for admins. Therefore i have created a namespace 'admin' so that i can easily control admin specific controller methods/layouts/authentication in the map admin. I'm using Devise to register/authenticate my admins only. Because it is only used for admins only i'm trying to move Devise to the admin namespace. I could not find exactly what i was looking for in the documentation of Devise but i tried something like this in routes.rb: namespace 'admin'do devise_for :admins end I also tried to make a custom Devise::Sessions controller but that too didn't seem to work out. Does anyone know how to do this? Should i just use the regular routes for devise with a custom(admin) layout?

  • Unbelievable: Cannot cast from class X to its super class

    I'm encountering a very weird problem with Spring (3.0.1.RELEASE), TestNG (5.11) and Maven Surefire (2.5). I have a test class that extends a Spring helper class for testNG so that test context can be loaded from an xml file (that contains some bean definitions). My project was imported into eclipse using m2eclipse (using Import Maven Project) The class run fine in Eclipse TestNG runner. However, it throws this exception with Maven Surefire Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl cannot be cast to javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory at javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance(DocumentBuilderFactory.java:123) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.DefaultDocumentLoader.createDocumentBuilderFactory(DefaultDocumentLoader.java:89) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.DefaultDocumentLoader.loadDocument(DefaultDocumentLoader.java:70) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionReader.doLoadBeanDefinitions(XmlBeanDefinitionReader.java:388) I have eliminated all involved dependencies in my pom so that the two classes com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl and javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory are coming from JRE only (the rt.jar). So, it looks so unbelievable to me. I wonder if there is any mechanism in loading class that can explain for this behavior? Thanks.

    I have two tables that I'm filling, 'msrun' and 'feature'. 'feature' has a foreign key pointing to the 'msrun_name' column of the 'msrun' table. Inserting in the tables works fine. But when I try to delete from the 'feature' table I get the following error: pysqlite2.dbapi2.OperationalError: foreign key mismatch From the rules of foreign keys in the manual of SQLite: - The parent table does not exist, or - The parent key columns named in the foreign key constraint do not exist, or - The parent key columns named in the foreign key constraint are not the primary key of the parent table and are not subject to a unique constraint using collating sequence specified in the CREATE TABLE, or - The child table references the primary key of the parent without specifying the primary key columns and the number of primary key columns in the parent do not match the number of child key columns. I can see nothing that I'm violating. You can make the factory to retry connecting a certain number of times but... is it possible to make some actions each time that a reconnection retrial is neccesary? Is it possible to register an ExceptionListener into the MessageDrivenBean's connection somehow? Thanks a lot.

    Does anyone know of a good tutorial on the distinction between the MPMoviePlayer vs AVAudioPlayer vs MPMusicPlayer? I want to play audio from an mp3 file available at an external URL. Ideally it is played in an iPod-like audio view. I toyed with MPMoviePlayer but it appears to be more suitable for video, as when audio starts a "movie playing" message displays, the controls disappear and a white quicktime splash page displays. I would like the standard ipod audio controls to display all the time, and to customize the image behind them.
