Netbeans (PHP) catching syntax error on xml declaration

Hello. I've just installed and configured Netbeans to work with PHP (including xdebug), and almost everything is working as intended, except that I've been getting "errors" in the IDE after I edited the default webpage template to comply with xhtml 1.1. The template is this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="${project.encoding}" ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=${project.encoding}" /> <title></title> </head> <body> </body> </html> These are the errors I receive (I can't post images yet). Page is created OK, character encoding is inherited from project's settings as expected. It's probably something to do with the xml declaration on top of the document, but I don't really know how to "tune" Netbeans to ignore it and not show the 3 errors on every page I create. The warning is there because NB does not recognize the xhtml 1.1 DTD, so it falls back to html 4.01, which does not support the xmlns attribute in the html tag - and that's the only thing I could find searching around. It will be fixed in the next version, so I'm not worried about it. I know there's nothing wrong with the markup, but there's probably something I'm missing in NB configuration, and I would like to get rid of those messages because they pretty much take all the space I reserve for errors/warnings/tasks. So is there any way I can either make NB recognize this xml declaration or make it ignore these specific "errors"? Thanks.

A really smart rails helper needed

In my rails application I have a helper function: def render_page( permalink ) page = Page.find_by_permalink( permalink ) content_tag( :h3, page.title ) + inline_render( page.body ) end If I called the page "home" with: <%= render_page :home %> and "home" page's body was: <h1>Home<h1/> bla bla <%= render_page :about %> <%= render_page :contact %> I would get "home" page, with "about" and "contact", it's nice and simple... right up to where someone goes and changes the "home" page's content to: <h1>Home<h1/> bla bla <%= render_page :home %> <%= render_page :about %> <%= render_page :contact %> which will result in a infinite loop ( a segment fault on webrick )... How would I change the helper function to something that won't fall into this trap? My first attempt was along the lines of: @@list = [] def render_page( permalink ) unless list.include?(permalink) @@list += [ permalink ] page = Page.find_by_permalink content_tag( :h3, page.title ) + inline_render( page.body ) @@list -= [ permalink ] else content_tag :b, "this page is already being rendered" end end which worked on my development environment, but bombed out in production... any suggestions? C# How to commit a TextBox?

Hi, In a form, I have a TextBox Binding an Object on its member property "Title". Along with it is a "Save" button to test the binding. Seems like the underlying object property does not get updated unless the textbox loses focus. But there no form.ActiveControl.Blur() for use. Besides, this does not seem like a sound hack. Anyway to do this better? Thanks. EDIT: Sorry for not being clear. My question is in the title: "How to commit a TextBox". I use the term "commit" from the DataGridView commit and BindingSource commit. And it's in WinForms. (Have never worked with WPF, so it didn't occur to me. Sorry). The actual scenario I have is I have a bunch of TextBox binded to property of a single Object. The user enters values in all the TextBox and when the user clicks save (toolbar button), the last TextBox is still in focus (or in editing mode) hence the save will not capture the last value in the last textbox. I want to find the correct way to "commit" the textbox value just before saving. Thanks.

item-not-found(404) when trying to get a node using Smackx pubsub

I'm trying to use the latest Smackx trunk to get and then subscribe to a pubsub node. However, openfire just sends me a back an error: item not found (404). I am instantiating the java objects from ColdFusion, so my code snippets might look funny but maybe someone will be able to tell me what I've forgotten. I'm making a tool for my university that allows students to create a list of classes by doing the following: Searching by course title for their course via an autocomplete input field. Adding that course to a separate form that upon being submitted creates a course list. I am trying to link the autocomplete and the course list form with an 'add to course list' button that inserts a hidden input field into the course list form which can subsequently be submitted by a 'create course list' button. My question is this: How do I take the value of the autocomplete input and insert it into the course list form without using AJAX? User Control not loading based on location

I have an ASP.net MVC solution that uses nested master pages to load content. On the first Master page I load a header, then have the Content Placeholder, and then load a footer. This master page is referenced by another master page which adds some additional information based on the user being logged in or not. When I load a page that references these master pages, the header loads, but the footer does not. If I move the footer up above the Content Place Holder it loads into the page. Any ideas why this might be the case? I have an issue in asp.net 4. When I add an attribute on controls, then the render it encoded. For example, when I type this code txtQuestion.Attributes["onfocus"] = "if(this.value == this.title) { this.value = ''; this.style.backgroundColor='#FEFDE0'; this.style.color='#000000'; }"; I get render onfocus="if(this.value == this.title){this.value = '';this.style.backgroundColor='#FEFDE0'; this.style.color='#000000';}" And every ' hash been change to & #39; Is there a way to disable this new future only on some controls ? or an easy way to make a custom render ? My Fail tries I have all ready try some thinks but I fail. For example this fails. txtQuestion.RenderingCompatibility = new Version("3.5"); I also locate the point that this attributes renders and is on public virtual void RenderBeginTag(HtmlTextWriterTag tagKey) function, there every attribute have a flag if he wish to be encoded, but I do not know how can anyone set it or not. I am a sharepoint newbee and am having trouble getting any search results to return using the search API in Sharepoint 2010 Foundation. Here are the steps I have taken so far. The Service Sharepoint Foundation Search v4 is running and logged in as Local Service Under Team Site - Site Settings - Search and Offline Availability, Indexing Site Content is enabled. Running the PowerShell script Get-SPSearchServiceInstance returns TypeName : SharePoint Foundation Search Description : Search index file on the search server Id : 91e01ce1-016e-44e0-a938-035d37613b70 Server : SPServer Name=V-SP2010 Service : SPSearchService Name=SPSearch4 IndexLocation : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Exten sions\14\Data\Applications ProxyType : Default Status : Online When I do a search using the search textbox on the team site I get a results as I would expect. Now, when I try to duplicate the search results using the Search API I either receive an error or 0 results. I need to put some text over a series of images in a gallery. I found many tutorials about the text part however the images need to be floated. Whenever I add float:left though the trick no longer works. Hiding a button on pushed view and showing it when back to list view

When I load my list view it has several blog posts and a refresh button on the top left. If I tap on a list item a view is pushed with the contents of that specific post. When this view is pushed in, the refresh button is hidden. But when I tap 'Back' to the parent list view, I'd like the refresh button to show (un-hide) - but it remains hidden. Any idea how to make this work? jQuery.clone() IE problem

I'm have some that uses jQuery.clone() to get the html of a page and then add it to a pre tag. Idiomatic way to build a custom structure from XML zipper in Clojure

Say, I'm parsing an RSS feed and want to extract a subset of information from it. (def feed (-> "http://..." clojure.zip/xml-zip clojure.xml/parse)) I can get links and titles separately: (xml-> feed :channel :item :link text) (xml-> feed :channel :item :title text) However I can't figure out the way to extract them at the same time without traversing the zipper more than once, e.g. (let [feed (-> "http://..." clojure.zip/xml-zip clojure.xml/parse)] (zipmap (xml-> feed :channel :item :link text) (xml-> feed :channel :item :title text))) ...or a variation of thereof, involving mapping multiple sequences to a function that incrementally builds a map with, say, assoc. Not only I have to traverse the sequence multiple times, the sequences also have separate states, so elements must be "aligned", so to speak. That is, in a more complex case than RSS, a sub-element may be missing in particular element, making one of sequences shorter by one (there are no gaps). So the result may actually be incorrect. Is there a better way or is it, in fact, the way you do it in Clojure?

Trying to set up nested while loops using a boolean switch

First time posting. I'm trying to set up a while loop that will ask the user for the employee name, hours worked and hourly wage until the user enters 'DONE'. Eventually I'll modify the code to calculate the weekly pay and write it to a list, but one thing at a time. The problem is once the main while loop executes once, it just stops. Doesn't error out but just stops. I have to kill the program to get it to stop. I want it to ask the three questions again and again until the user is finished. Thoughts? Mac vs. Windows Browser Font Height Rendering Issue

I'm using a custom font and the @font-face tag. In Windows, everything looks great, regardless of whether it's Firefox, Chrome, or IE. On Mac, it's a different story. For some reason, the Mac font renderer thinks the font is a lot shorter than it is. Use your mouse to select it. On Windows, you'll notice it fully selects the font. On Mac, it only selects about half the font. If you look at what it is selecting, you'll see that that part has been centered, instead of the full height of the font. Is there anyway to fix this rather large discrepancy?
