    I am trying to get logrotate running on a FreeBSD 8.1 virtual machine. I installed the logrotate with pkg_add, I have created the logrotate.config file and also run: mkdir /var/lib/ touch /var/lib/logrotate.status Now when I do: /usr/local/sbin/logrotate -d /usr/local/etc/logrotate.conf I get this error: ELF interpreter /libexec/ld-elf-so.1 not found Abort The file ld-elf-so.1 exists: locate ld-elf.so.1 /libexec/ld-elf.so.1 /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1 /usr/share/man/man1/ld-elf.so.1.1.gz

  • Trace directory not defined error in MS Dynamics CRM 4.0

    I'm getting the following event log entry when I turn on tracing in CRM using the Crm Diagnostics Tool. Any ideas why it's not picking up the correct directory to place the files? CrmTrace encountered a failure creating or opening the file named C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Trace\CRM-SERVER-CrmAsyncService-bin-20091106-1.log.   • XRDP: window manager not starting

    I have setup my Ubuntu server so that I can connect and login to XRDP from Windows remote desktop. My problem is that after logging in, no window-manager is started. It only displays a single gnome-terminal with no border and gray meshed background. It seems that /usr/sbin/xrdp-sesman itself is running (from observation of ps and /var/run/xrdp/xrdp-sesman.pid). I put debugging line like touch /home/myname/aaaaa into ~/startwm.sh or /etc/xrdp/startwm.sh, but the file aaaaa did not generated after logging in, so these scripts have not been executed. (Both of them have chmod +x permission.) Am I missing some configuration file, or is there any way of further inspection? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.   • can not print pdfs with adobe reader 9

    When I try to print an adobe acrobat document I get a message box that says "the document could not be printed." I then get another message box that says "there were no pages selected to print." The sender could print it. Other users on same computer are unable to print their docs but I can print from WORD. AHHHHH

  • Windows XP update not working

    I have a problem with XP updating. It hangs when I try to search for updates on the website. But the automatic updates still work. And it's running IE6, so I'm trying to update to IE8, hoping that will fix the problems with the website. But when installing IE8 it just hangs at Installing Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP And if I try to install it manually, it hangs when installing the updates for IE8. So looking at these logs, is there anything going wrong with the update process?     Hi, I've installed Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit) as a guest OS in VirtualBox, using Windows7 Professional (64bit) as host. After Ubuntu install, I did installed Xfce4 (sudo apt-get install xfce4). Logged in using a Xfce session, and when I logged out, I couldn't see the login box anymore, only the regular gnome background from login screen. Then I restarted the virtual machine, and now I'm not able to see the login box anymore, only the gnome background. Does someone knows how to solve this? Thanks in advance

    Can anyone please explain this quirk in Windows 7 search (not a big fan of it - preferred XP method or least both). With Outlook, you sometimes have to find and delete your OST file. It resides in the user's profile folder. How come searching the entire C: drive for *.ost files works - they are in c:\Users\rob.nicholson\appdata somewhere but starting the search from c:\Users\rob.nicholson fails to find the files???     Connector settings: <Connector ... compression="2048" noCompressionUserAgents="gozilla, traviata" compressionMimeType="text/html,text/xml,text/plain,text/css,text/javascript"/> This seems to work for html, but not for css or javascript. compression="force" does work, but compression="on" doesn't. compression="2" doesn't work either, so I don't know what "force" is really doing. The files in question are about 6k, I've cleared the browser cache, etc.

    Often I am creating pivot tables that summarize some count by some category. Let's say I am counting Yes/No responses by some category. I usually add the count field and display it as a "% of row", and then create a pivot chart. However, if I want to sort one of the columns, say "Yes", Excel sorts by the underlying count, not the calculated percentage. Any way around this?

    Hi, I use the PSEXEC to start the java process in local machine. When I run the PSEXEC without any user account it works fine. c:/psexec java testclass But when I run with an user account c:psexec -u user -p password java test It gives me the below error PsExec could not start java: The system cannot find the file specified I checked the environemt variable for the the above user and the PATH variable has been properly mapped to the java path. Could any one help me to resolve this issue.

  • "Zend Optimizer not installed" after I updated to Ubuntu 10.04

    Hi guys, I've just updated from 9.10 to 10.04. Everything seems to run fine except for zend optimizer which is throwing "Zend Optimizer not installed" error. I went to php.ini and the following line is still there Code: zend_extension=/etc/php5/ZendOptimizer.so Also I checked that the file does exist and that the php.ini I am looking at is in fact the php.ini file that is being used by the server.   • Storage device not found on ESX4 with AIC-9410

    I am trying to install ESX 4.0 update 1 on a Supermicro X7DBR-3 system with an embedded AIC-9410 HBA (this HBA is listed on the HCG with Vendor ID 9005 and Device ID 041f) . All SATA controllers are disabled in the BIOS and the logical drive shows up in the Adaptec device summary during POST, however there is nothing listed on the Storage Device screen. The HBA itself is listed if I run esxcfg-info but not if I run esxcfg-scsidevs -a (under ESXi for that last command) Any ideas where I can look next or what might be wrong?
