  • Is there a Hotmail Adapter for Outlook 2011 on Mac?

    Ironically, the ONLY email account I have that does not run on the new Outlook 2011 for Mac is my MSN account....totally mad but true...I have to run it in Mac Mail which autoconfigures the account no problem whereas Outlook 2011 does not and there seems to be no connector unless you are running a PC! Does anyone know if there is HOTMAIL/MSN connector for Outlook 2011 available anywhere or is there a way around it?

    I live in a country that enjoys manipulating DNS entries for fun and profit. For various reasons, I cannot surf with a VPN running 100% of the time. Because some sites are only blocked via DNS spoofing, it would be very handy if I could run a local DNS server that I could update on command during active VPN sessions. Is this granularity possible on Win7? Most of the DNS server related posts on SU are regarding the more config-friendly Linux platforms...

  • Syncing Exchange Inbox subfolders to Blackberry

    Hello - I have a Blackberry user that has organized his Outlook such that he manually sorts mail messages into specific subfolders. Example - |--> Inbox |---->Mail from 2004 ( Subfolder of Inbox ) |--------> Business ( Subfolder of Mail from 2004 ) |--> Personal |--> Travel |--> Mail from 2003 When using the Blackberry this user is able to view the folder, however the folder is empty, despite knowing the folder has mail messages in it on the Exchange server. The handheld appears to sync without issue. The user receives new mail messages. I have Folder Redirection enabled and all folders checked marked. I am using BES 4.0. So, I guess my questions is this - How are the Outlook subfolders sync'd with the Hnadheld? Additionally, if a mail message is on the handheld is moved into a subfolder from the handheld, will it be sync'd on the Exchange server? Thanks in advance!

  • Supermicro SmartOS setup issue with HDDs

    I'm trying to setup SmartOS on my new Supermicro server (SYS-6027R-N3RF4+). I have 8 HDDs + 2 SSDs installed in the hot-swappable drive bays. I have not configured the Intel RAID controller on the machine (it shows no RAID configured, and lists all 8 HDDs). When I boot SmartOS from my USB key for the first time and get to the initial zpool creation I only see 2 disks listed. How can I tell which two drives are being referenced? How can I get SmartOS to recognize all 8+2 drives? Is there a BIOS setting I need to adjust?

    I'm currently trying to set up my personal webpage. I am using a VPS and have manually installed Wordpress, and everything seems to work... except if I go to the non-www version of my website, it comes up with a page not found. www.andrewrockefeller.com <-- Works andrewrockefeller.com <-- Does not (and I want to redirect it to www.andrewrockefeller.com) I have tried adding RewriteEngine functionality to my .htaccess, and that isn't working. I have also tried adding the 'most-voted' method of adding to my default file (which apache2.conf pulls from: <VirtualHost *> ServerName andrewrockefeller.com Redirect 301 / http://www.andrewrockefeller.com/ </VirtualHost> Seeing how many people are able to get the above working, is there something else I may be missing to allow that to function?   • Improving browser performance while using lots of tabs?

    My browsing habits cause me to open lots of windows and tabs, either related to different projects I'm working on or things I may want to read later. I use OSX and use about 5 spaces with multiple windows in each space. The problem is eventually I'll have around 200 or more tabs open (spread over 15-20 windows) that I don't want to close. Needless to say, my computer's performance starts to degrade. As I write this on my mobile, Safari on my laptop is locking up the computer. I used to use Chrome but found better performance with Safari. What I'd like to know, is there a graph of browser performance based on tab usage? I don't need a browser that keeps all tabs active. It would be great if the browser could increase performance by "putting tabs to sleep". Or if there was some sort of tool for saving a "workspace" of tabs that you could reactivate the next time you are working on that project. What sort of solution can you recommend to solve this problem?

  • How do I get to my IIS management console?

    I just installed Windows 7 Enterprise along with some development tools. I didn't see IIS (the management console) anywhere in the start menu. I went to Turn Windows Features On or Off and saw that indeed IIS was present. Even http://localhost/ responded. I even turned all IIS features off (uninstalled them) and back on (rebooting each time). I still don't get IIS on my start menu. I also tried just launching MMC and adding the IIS snap-in, but that too, is absent. How can I manage the IIS on my box?

  • QMail Problem: Can't send email to one specific domain

    I'm running qmail as part of a Plesk installation on a Debian server. Everything works fine apart from any emails sent to @nandos.co.uk. I get no error messages they just end up stuck in the queue for eternity. I have no idea what is going on, because as far as I can tell this is the ONLY domain the server won't send emails to. Any ideas? TIA

  • Windows XP Pro SP3 stop error code 0x000000F4

    I have a system running Windows XP Pro SP3. My wife is the primary user of this system, and the last several days in a row, when she tries to log in to the system it gives her a BSOD with the stop error code 0x000000F4. The rest of the error codes change every time she tries to log on, but that one seems to stay constant. The error it gives me is: A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated. The machine will also get stuck in a boot loop, where it keeps giving me the screen saying that windows did not start successfully, and to choose how to start windows. I have tried Safe Mode, Last known Good Config, and Normally, and all have resulted in either a return to the boot loop, or BSOD. What might this mean? How can I fix it, without doing a clean install?

    I am trying to install the Chromium OS on an EEE PC 901, and I have succeeded in using Image Writer for Windows 0.2r23 to copy the IMG file to an SDHC card. Since the OS speed is limited by slow card access, I'd like to install the Chromium OS on the second, unused, internal SSD Drive, D:. However, Image Writer doesn't allow me to restore an internal drive from an IMG file. To be clear: I boot in XP on C: then run Image Writer to install the Chromium OS. Does anyone know how I can either convince Image Writer that D: is a removable drive or know of alternative program that will let me restore D: from an IMG file (non-windows file system)?

  • Bash or Zsh - which one and why?

    So, the question pretty much says it all. I'm on Snow Leopard, and I do a lot of web development, particularly in Rails 3 which makes heavy use of the console. I've seen some notable bloggers etc. mention Zsh as their preference over Bash, but I don't know what difference it would make.     tl;dr version, Does a software path exist to convert from openscad input to render on a website via webgl? What I'm trying to do is display OpenSCAD created designs uploaded via post on a LEMPy driven website; this is currently done by outputting to a static png image. I would like to render one of openscad's export formats(wikibooks) and convert for display in javascript/webgl through some software path available via linux batch. CPU and RAM are relatively unconstrained but no GPU available. I've looked into CopperLeicht, but it requires CopperCube output which would require windows or wine. FOSS is preferred but not required. edit: I found three.js has converters for fbx, dae, obj, and 3ds formats which might be helpful as one of the last steps.

  • Cannot open files in Visual Studio but in Delphi and Notepad

    About an hour ago Visual Studio 2008 decided that it cannot find files any more. This is on 64 bit Windows Vista. When I right-click on a text file (source code or otherwise) and select "open with" and "Visual Studio 2008", I get the following error (example): Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\ajbrehm\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Hello Prism\Hello Prism\Main.pas'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. When I right-click the same file and select "open with" and "Delphi 2010" or "Notepad" (both other options available for text files on my system), the file opens correctly. Oddly enough when the file is part of a Visual Studio project and I open the project itself with Visual Studio (this works), I can open the file from within Visual Studio. Any ideas what might be going on? This started about an hour after I made a complete backup of my Vista VM and after I installed IIS 7, SQL Express, and Sourcegear Vault. The first files I noticed couldn't be opened in Visual Studio any more where Pascal source files in checked-outed folders from Vault. And Vault also seems to be unable to see one of the sources files and claims they don't exist. I found out about Visual Studio not opening ANY files any more when I tried to recreate the file Vault refused to see. Update: I just checked. Another user, "administrator", can still open text files with Visual Studio 2008. Both users have administrator rights. Update: I just restored the hours-old backup. Same problem. Apparently whatever triggered this happened before the install of IIS 7 and SQL Express. Never noticed it before.

    Using Powerpoint viewer (2010), I want to show a Powerpoint show on my secondary display, i.e. the projector, not on my laptop screen. However, Powerpoint viewer always does full screen presentations on the primary display, even if I move the Powerpoint viewer program to the secondary display. Powerpoint and multiple monitors shows how to configure which display a Powerpoint presentation is shown on for the full version of Powerpoint. But how do I do this for Powerpoint viewer? One workaround is to clone monitors rather than having separate monitors displaying different things, but I'm still wondering if there's a better way.

    I have the following script that parses an HR output file looking for employees and outputs information such as Hire Dare, First Name, Last Name, Supervisor etc. The problem I have is that in the current format I think the Hire Date column is being treated as a string so in effect it orders the output by month (i.e. 1/1/01 comes before 2/2/98). Is there a way to map that column to a date/time so it sorts properly?   • Laptop connected to external monitor results in desktop overflow

    I have a laptop (MSi FX600) connected to an external monitor (Toshiba 19AV500U) with the screen resolution set to the monitors recommended setting of 1440x900. The problem is the desktop is overflowing the display, meaning all edges of the desktop are cut off, so I cannot see the close, minimize buttons on the top and I only see half of the taskbar at the bottom. I have tried many different resolutions but none of them solve the problem. I have had this same problem when connecting to other external monitors in the past, but not all of them, it seems to be fairly random. I have tried to find a way to manually adjust the resolution but I cannot see a way to do this in my settings. All windows updates are up to date, I am connecting through an HDMI cable and I have it set to display only on the external monitor and not extended desktop.
