  • windows server 2008 instance on KVM stuck in 'Pause' mode

    I have a windows Server 2008 instance as a guest on KVM. When I tried to run it via virtual machine manager, the process got frozen after few seconds and trying to resume the process lead to this error from virt-manager: Error unpausing domain: internal error unable to execute QEMU command 'cont': Resetting the Virtual Machine is required I tried to Reboot it without any success. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    In using i see 2 types of code #!/usr/bin/sh and #!/user/bin/bash I have Googled this and the opinions vary a lot. The explanation I have seen on most websites is that sh is older than bash, and that there is no real difference. Does someone know the difference between these and can give a practical example when to use either one of them. I highly doubt that there is no real difference, because then having to things that do the exact same thing would be just

    have installed VS 2003 in my XP VM, which was shared from a remote drive, after installing, when I tried to open new windows application, the IDE freezes, I have tried it many times, repairing, uninstalling .net 1.1 and VS 2003 and again install, mapping the share drive to my local, etc., After all these trials I was left with no option I know...     Hi there, I have a Logitech Trackman mouse, which I love and would like to take with me on my travels. However, the receiver for this thing is highly unportable (for use on a train, for example). I know you can get tiny wireless receivers like on this mouse. Is there any way to use a smaller third party receiver with my Logitech mouse, or does anyone know of a Logitech accessory or something like that which I could use? Thanks!

    Does anyone have some comparison data in terms of performance for using in front of Tomcat either Varnish or Apache with mod_jk. I know that AJP connector suppose to be faster than HTTP, but I was thinking that in combination Varnish which is lighter and highly optimized could perform better. There is also the discussion between static resources (which I think will perform faster with Varnish than Apache, even with mod_cache) and dynamic pages.

Is there a way to itemize and display the phone's power use by application, at any given point in time as well as within defined time buckets and maybe view charts and such? Since I often use it with running GPU codes, sometimes the performances highly decrease as I test it with "glxgears" tool (I get only 20 FPS in fullscreen). So I would like to be able to reinitialize the GPU without reboot the system. I know the "clinfo" tool which display the features of the graphics card. Is there a tool which allows to do this reinitialization ?

Are there motherboards that have been shown to support ECC RAM (and which particular models?) and also USB 3.0? I've read that there are such chipsets with ECC support, but motherboard manufacturers won't guarantee they work, or won't even offer the required BIOS options.

    The title says it all. Is there a way to make the loginwindow process start a user session by running a command when remotely logged in via SSH as an admin on Mac OS X? When the machine is at the login window (no user is currently logged in), I want it to open up a user's session as if I had clicked on the username and entered a password. Solutions that don't involve scripting the GUI are highly preferred, but this Apple KB page may be of interest for those who go that route.

    I have recently been finding myself stymied trying to perform searches for c#-related things in Chrome. The problem is that the omnibox truncates the # and everything after it. This means typing c# foo" in the omnibox in Chrome and hitting enter returns highly unhelpful search results for "c" Google. Any tricks or extensions that would allow me to type "c# foo" into the omnibox and return results that are related to c# and foo? Am I the only person with this problem?

I already know the Save to PDF command and that you can create simple aliases in the "PDF Services" folder, but I need something automated for this task.
