  I'm constantly modifying some text on a web page with JavaScript. I want the text to be in-line with other elements, like texts, inputs, etc. What HTML element should I use? Both <div> and <p> create new-lines and other things. <b> kind of does what I want, but it bolds all the text. What's the correct alternative?

  I am trying to convert content from tinymce editor to pdf using Jspdf. But as JSpdf creating single pdf page only initial 30 lines from editors appering in PDF.. So how can I add page dynamically to convert whole content to pdf?? • Require CoreTelephony framework examples.

  Greetings everyone. Can any one has a working example for the CoreTelephony framework? I dumped all the CoreTelephony headers using class-dump and added them to "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS3.1.3.sdk/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreTelephony.framework". Now I'm following the Erica's tutorial (http://blogs.oreilly.com/iphone/2008/08/iphone-notifications.html). I added these following lines of code in my main.m, id ct = CTTelephonyCenterGetDefault(); CTTelephonyCenterAddObserver( ct, NULL, callback, NULL, NULL, CFNotificationSuspensionBehaviorHold); but I'm getting a warning like, Implicit declaration of function "CTTelephonyCenterGetDefault()" and "CTTelephonyCenterAddObserver(...)". Can any one has full working example, which will explain how to get the CoreTelepony notifications?

  Hello I'm building my first system using Twitters OAuth and have some issues. First, I'm using Abraham's Twitter-class for this and I have followed this tutorial. • No such file to load bundler error for Rails 3

  I have a Rails 3 app ready for staging. I haven't got a VPS host set up yet. As I was planning to have everything on shared host for the first few months. Problem: cd myapp bundle check result: The Gemfile's dependencies are satisfied Passenger error: Error message: no such file to load -- bundler Exception class: LoadError Frustrating thing about shared hosts is that I have to add these lines on config.ru: ENV['GEM_HOME'] = '/home/username/.gems' ENV['GEM_PATH'] = '$GEM_HOME:/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8' Still no luck. Same no such file to load bundler error appears. Has anybody got this working? Rails 3, Debian, shared host (dreamhost)? I could just go ahead and register on Slicehost/Fivebean but before I do, I'd like to know why that error is showing up. Thanks.

• How to display custom view in UIActionSheet?

  I have a UIView with a date picker that I'd like to display in an action sheet. I'm using the following code: -(IBAction) button_click:(id)sender{ //UIActionSheet *sheet = [[UIActionSheet alloc] initWithTitle:@"the title" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:@"Cancel" destructiveButtonTitle:@"Destructive" otherButtonTitles:@"other", nil]; UIActionSheet *sheet = [[UIActionSheet alloc] init]; ActionSheetController *actionSheet = [[ActionSheetController alloc] initWithNibName:@"ActionSheetView" bundle:nil]; [sheet addSubview:actionSheet.view]; [sheet showInView:self.view]; } What I get is a little bit of the top part of the new view coming up from the bottom and that's it. If I comment the two middle lines of code and uncomment the top part to display a regular action sheet, it works fine. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

  Are "Visual Studio Setup" Projects suitable for complex setups in different versions? The application is rather large ( 500.000 lines of code) and is under continuous development. Every 6 to 10 month a new version gets released. We have multiple configuration files (INI and XML), registry keys, database migration scripts, etc. The application is in the progress of being migrated from VB6 to .NET . The old installer was build with Installshield. The feedback to Installshield is: Bad adaptability, bad reuse - thats way we are evaluating "Visual Studio Setup" as an alternative. Other products we consider: Free Solutions WiX NSIS Commercial Solutions Installshield (again..) Wise Advanced Installer sth. missing? Solutions we don't like to consider: Inno Setup (It just doesn't feel right)

However nothing gets drawn (I am using Core Graphics to draw some lines on a derived UIView). If I call my update via a timer then all is well and good. • QtWebKit problems playing HTML5 video

  I have a simple Qt application that launches a window with a QWebView. I tried several sites using the video tag with h.264, and it either can't play the video at all (as in youtube or sublime video), or it renders the video poorly, with black lines covering parts of it, like when viewing the video here. Is this a known issue with QtWebKit, or have I neglected to do something that would make it work better?   How do you order items when you override the QueryOverride property of the Content Query Web Part? I have been given responsibility for a Web Part which extends the Content Query Web Part. The QueryOverride property of this Web Part is programmatically changed. Currently, the Web Part does not function as designed, as it does not order the items according to the appropriate field. If I add an <OrderBy> node to the QueryOverride property I get an error message along the lines of 'something wrong with the query this web part is...' and the Content Query Web Part doesn't seem to have an OrderBy property which I could use instead. The "QueryOverride property" part of this msdn article seems to suggest I should be able to add an <OrderBy> node to the QueryOverride but a number of web sites I've been reading suggest that this is not true. So, wow do you order items when you override the QueryOverride property of the Content Query Web Part?

• How do I prevent flickering on CListCtrl?

  I'm using a CListCtrl/CListView report view (LVS_REPORT) in virtual mode (LVS_OWNERDATA) with LVS_EX_DOUBLEBUFFER enabled and I encounter ugly flickering. Double buffer have a real effect but it doesn't stop all flickering (without it very slow). I'm not looking for switching to other controls that would require a high amount of rework (like ObjectListView) How does the flickering behaves: * on column resize - the background is first clean using lightgray and after this is displayed the text (background is white) * on mouse scroll (animated) - for a very short time there is lightgray-bar displayed in the area where new lines are to be displayed. It looks like it does clean the background using the default window background color (lightgray) for the area where it has to redraw. How do I solve the flickering problem?

  Hi *, When writing in a UITextView more text than can fit entirely inside it, the text will scroll up and the cursor will often place itself one or two lines above the view's bottom line. This is a bit frustrating as I want my application to make good use of the entire height of the text view. Basically what I want is to configure the UITextView to write up to it's lowest part and not use it just for scrolling. I've seen some similar questions here, here and here. However I've not seen a proper solution yet. Thanks

• jQuery 1 minute countdown with milliseconds and callback

  I'm trying to figure out a way to display a simple countdown that displays 1:00:00 whereby 1 = minutes, 00 = seconds, and 00 = milliseconds. I've found loads of jQuery countdowns on the interwebs, but none of the contain the ability to display milliseconds natively, and I really don't want to dig through thousands of lines of code to try and find a way to hack it in there myself. Is this something that would be pretty easy to whip up? I'm also hoping to have the ability to add a callback to the end of the countdown (0:00:00) so that when it finishes, I can run another function.

  I am making a web-based logviewer using extjs. I would like new log-lines to be added to the bottom of my gridview as it saves cpu by not requiring a sort to move it to the top of the grid (plus its how my coworkers prefer it). My problem is that ideally the grid would scroll to the bottom after a new row is added. I have been looking through the documentation and I cannot figure out how to do this. I just see a method to scroll to the top. Any ideas? Thanks!

As far as I know my development tools are up to date (checked MS update). I know that I can probably just write my own parser but that seems like re-inventing the wheel.   Hi all, I have an Excel worksheet which contains data in several columns. For a specific column, I will need Excel to replace all values between, say 10 to 15, by the value 1 and values between 16 and 20 by the value 2 and so forth. I know how to do it for a single value; ie: I can replace value 10 by 1, 11 by 1 and so on. But this will be a tedious exercise. Are there some lines of codes that can execute this task?   I have to fix some problems and enchance form designer written long ago for a database project.   Hello all, I am architecting a software project and I want to create a SAAS (Software As a service) one. I want to model my application along the lines of Salesforce. I really like there customization features but I am not sure how they really go about it. I read that they create an ID for every field that is required and then store the corresponding data too. Can anyone guide me as to how this is possible. For example, if I want to store an employee record. 2 fields (firstname, lastname) are already given and the user adds a third field(say DOB), how is data going to be stored? I would also appreciate if someone could give me some resources to practical examples of implementing a SAAS architecture. Thanks

• Anyone had any experience with *.pcap manipulation libs?

  I'm using the SharpPcap + PacketDotNet libraries to process some .pcap files and came across a bug in the way the timestamps are calculated. Take this Timeval property, which is something along these lines: PosixTimeval Timeval { DateTime Date; ulong Seconds; ulong MicroSeconds; } The problem is as follows: Suppose you have a trace open in Wireshark with one of the packets with a timestamp of "0.002". Once you open it within one of your programs, it retrieves the packet and its Timeval is setup such that Seconds = 0 and MicroSeconds = 002 = 2. This is done under the hood, so there is no way to avoid it as far as I can tell. My question is if that problem is common to other libraries (and maybe all of them?) who manipulate the pcap file format, which I think are built around the same collection of c/c++ functions, or if this is a problem only with the ones I'm using.

  I inherited a project (lucky me!) which relies on a static library. Trying to build the static lib, I get this error: /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool: -dynamic not specified the following flags are invalid: -ObjC It is followed by these two lines, which I do understand, but this appears to be a separate problem (missing file.) /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool: can't locate file for: -lFlurryWithLocation /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool: file: -lFlurryWithLocation is not an object file (not allowed in a library) Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool failed with exit code 1 Am I wrong, and it's all related? Will the 1st line error go away if I fix the missing file part? Either way, what does the -dynamic not specified part of message mean? Thanks!
