• Creating a consumer of a Web Service WSDL/SOAP

  I am attempting to write a Windows Desktop App (using WCF) that is a consumer of a web service. The application: Sends a SOAP message to a British Government Server to get an authentication token based on the arugments passed Retrieves a response from that server in the form of a string which contains the authentication token. I have a template of the SOAP message from the British Government, and a WSDL file for the service. What I have tried Add a service reference using the WSDL file. I received the following error: URI formats are not supported. Add a Web Reference using the URL of the service. I received the following error: The request failed with HTTP status 405: Method Not Allowed. Send the SOAP request using a POST. The Call to GetResponse() threw a 500 External Server Error.   I replaced ActivePerl with Strawberry Perl on my WinXP last week. I found I must run my Perl script with the command of perl myperl.pl; otherwise I only need run myperl.pl before install Strawberry. How can I only run myperl.pl as before? I checked my environment configuration as below. • Serving static content with jetty 7, using defaultservlet configured from web.xml

  Hi All, This is jetty 7 and xml configured, not embedded. I'm trying to serve a static file, crossdomain.xml, to an app that connects to a datasource I run from jetty. To do this, I configured a servlet and its mapping thus: default org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.DefaultServlet resourceBase /moo/somedirectory default /* Sadly all I get are 404's.   My input is a well-formed XML document and a corresponding XML Schema document. What I would like to do is determine the location within the XML document that causes it to fail validation against the XML Schema document.   Simply put: I have a database design in my head and I now want to use Visual Studio 2010 to create a WPF application. Key is to use the VS2010 tools to take much as possible manual work out of my hands. -The database engine is SQLite -ORM probably through DBLINQ -Use of LINQ -The application can create new, empty database instances -Easily maintainable (changes in data model possible) Q- How do I start designing the database model (visually) in Visual Studio 2010? Should this be an xsd? Do I do this in a separate project? Q- Next, how can I make the most use of VS2010 code generation tools to generate a business layer? Q- I suppose the business layer will be added as a Data Source (in another project?) and from there it's a rather generic data binding solution? I tried finding clear examples of this but it's a jungle out there, the hunt for a solution is NOT converging to one clear method.... :_(

Can you please help me as to what i am doing wrong. And yes if i send just batchProgressMetricsList.get(0) in MAV it just works fine.

• Modifying SQL Server Schema Collection

  SQL Server XML Schema Collection is an interesting concept and I find it very useful when designing dynamic data content. However as I work my way through implementing Schema Collections, I find it very difficult to maintain them. Schema Collection DDL allows only CREATE and ALTER/ADD nodes to existing schemes. CREATE XML SCHEMA COLLECTION [ <relational_schema>. ]sql_identifier AS 'XSD Content' ALTER XML SCHEMA COLLECTION [ <relational_schema>. ]sql_identifier ADD 'Schema Component' When you want to remove any node from a schema you have to issue following DDL's. If that schema collection assigned to a table column, you have to alter table to remove schema collection association from that column Drop the schema collection object Re-Create schema collection Alter table column to re-associate schema collection to that column. This is pain when it comes to 100+ of schemes in a collection. Also you have to re-create XML indexes all over again, if any. Any solutions, suggestions, tricks to make this schema collection object editing process easier?

Then i added the Security Realm "customRealm" to my Glassfish with asadmin: asadmin create-auth-realm --classname de.company.security.utility.CustomRealm --property jaas-context=customRealm:startWith=a customRealm I even referenced the LoginModule class for the JAAS context of my Custom Realm, therefore i inserted this into the login.conf of my domain: customRealm { de.company.security.utility.CustomLoginModule required; }; Although this LoginModule SHOULD BE on the Glassfish classpath, as it's classfiled is packaged in the JAR that i put into the Glassfish/lib-dir, it cannot be found when i try to login. For login, i build a really simple JSF-project, which calls the HttpServletRequest-login-method of Servlet 3.0. • Ivy and Snapshots (Nexus)

  Hey folks, I'm using ant, ivy and nexus repo manager to build and store my artifacts. I managed to get everything working: dependency resolution and publishing. Until I hit a problem... (of course!). I was publishing to a 'release' repo in nexus, which is locked to 'disable redeploy' (even if you change the setting to 'allow redeploy' (really lame UI there imo). You can imagine how pissed off I was getting when my changes weren't updating through the repo before I realised that this was happening. Anyway, I now have to switch everything to use a 'Snapshot' repo in nexus. Problem is that this messes up my publish. I've tried a variety of things, including extensive googling, and haven't got anywhere whatsoever. The error I get is a bad PUT request, error code 400. Can someone who has got this working please give me a pointer on what I'm missing. Many thanks, Alastair fyi, here's my config: Note that I have removed any attempts at getting snapshots to work as I didn't know what was actually (potentially) useful and what was complete guff. This is therefore the working release-only setup. Also, please note that I've added the XXX-API ivy.xml for info only. • Can nusoap returns arrray of string ?

• JSF2 and Richfaces 3.3.3 application on tomcat 6.0 crashes with a StackOverflowError

  Hi, I am using JSF 2 and richfaces 3.3.3 for an application hosted on tomcat 6.0.20. The application crashes as soon as a request is made via the browser (Mozilla and IE). • migrating webclient to WCF; WCF client serializes parametername of method

  I'm struggling with migrating from webservice/webclient architecture to WCF architecture. The object are very complex, with lots of nested xsd's and different namespaces. Proxy classes are generated by adding a Web Reference to an original wsdl with 30+ webmethods and using xsd.exe for generating the missing SOAPFault objects. My pilot WCF Service consists of only 1 webmethod which matches the exact syntax of one of the original methods: 1 object as parameter, returning 1 other object as result value. I greated a WCF Interface using those proxy classes, using attributes: XMLSerializerFormat and ServiceContract on the interface, OperationContract on one method from original wsdl specifying Action, ReplyAction, all with the proper namespaces. I create incoming client messages using SoapUI; I generated a project from the original WSDL files (causing the SoapUI project to have 30+ methods) and created one new Request at the one implemented WebMethod, changed the url to my wcf webservice and send the message. Because of the specified (Reply-)Action in the OperationContractAttribute, the message is actually received and properly deserialized into an object. To get this far (40 hours of googling), a lot of frustration led me to using a custom endpoint in which the WCF 'wrapped tags' are removed, the namespaces for nested types are corrected, and the generated wsdl get's flattened (for better compatibility with other tools then MS VisualStudio). Interface code is this: [XmlSerializerFormat(Use = OperationFormatUse.Literal, Style = OperationFormatStyle.Document, SupportFaults = true)] [ServiceContract(Namespace = Constants.NamespaceStufZKN)] public interface IOntvangAsynchroon { [OperationContract(Action = Constants.NamespaceStufZKN + "/zakLk01", ReplyAction = Constants.NamespaceStufZKN + "/zakLk01", Name = "zakLk01")] [FaultContract(typeof(Fo03Bericht), Namespace = Constants.NamespaceStuf)] Bv03Bericht zakLk01([XmlElement("zakLk01", Namespace = Constants.NamespaceStufZKN)] ZAKLk01 zakLk011); When I use a Webclient in code to send a message, everything works. My problem is, when I use a WCF client. I use ChannelFactory< IOntvangAsynchroon to send a message. But the generated xml looks different: it includes the parametername of the method! It is the name of the parameter of the method in my interface! So NOW it is zakLk011, but it when my parameter name was 'zakLk01', the xml seemed to contain some magical duplicate of the tag above, but without namespace. Of course, you can imagine me going crazy over what was happening before finding out it was the parametername! I know have actually created a WCF Service, at which I cannot send messages using a WCF Client anymore. For clarity: The method does get invoked using the WCF Client on my webservice, but the parameter object is empty. Because I'm using a custom endpoint to log the incoming xml, I can see the message is received fine, but just with the wrong syntax! WCF client code: ZAKLk01 stufbericht = MessageFactory.CreateZAKLk01(); ChannelFactory<IOntvangAsynchroon> factory = new ChannelFactory<IOntvangAsynchroon>(new BasicHttpBinding(), new EndpointAddress("http://localhost:8193/Roxit/Link/zkn0310")); factory.Endpoint.Behaviors.Add(new LinkEndpointBehavior()); IOntvangAsynchroon client = factory.CreateChannel(); client.zakLk01(stufbericht); I am not using a generated client, i just reference the webservice like i am lot's of times. • Maven jaxb2:xjc/jaxws:wsimport to be added in eclipse?

  I have a library I am creating based on some WSDL/XSD definitions. I am having a problem having the compiled classes added in the eclipse project. I can see that with a 'mvn compile' that the .class files are generated, as well as the .java files. The problem is that even though the .class files are generated, eclipse is still showing an error on the import statement "import com.whatever.SomeService_Service" that was generated by one of the plugins. I tried forcing the source to go into the project/src/main/java directory, but when the project is cleaned, it deletes files that I have created. Has anyone run into this before/found a way to get it to recognize that the class files are there? Thanks.

• Problem deserializing xml file

  I auto generated an xsd file from the below xml and used xsd2code to get a c# class. The problem is the entire xml doesn't deserialize. • How can I access an ASP.Net 2.0 web service using VB Script?

  I'm trying to find a way to access a web service from a VB Script .vbs file running under wscript.exe. I pulled some sample code from Microsoft but it gives me an error. Dim SOAPClient, Response Set SOAPClient = createobject("MSSOAP.SOAPClient") SOAPClient.mssoapinit("https://www.domain.com/Folder/Service.asmx?WSDL") On that last line I get an error message: WSDLReader: No valid schema specification was found. This version of the SOAP Toolkit only supports 1999 and 2000 XSD schema specifications After getting that message I installed the SOAP 3.0 SDK to make sure I have the most recent version (since it's now deprecated for .Net) but I still get the same error. The reason it needs to be in VB Script is because it's going to be used in a program over which I have no control and it only supports VB Script. Is there a way to get VB Script to be able to parse a newer WSDL file? I do have the source code for the web service. Is there something I can change in the web service to make it schema compatible with the SOAP toolkit?
