• How to insert hyperlink into access database via sql?

  I have a fairly simple MS Access Database that contains some metadata about a bunch of documents and a hyperlink field that links to the document on our network drive. However, when I use a SQL INSERT statement to populate the hyperlink field, the value I give it only becomes the display text, not the actual link. How can I make the value a functional hyperlink? I'd think that the hyperlink data type would actually create hyperlinks. I'm using Access 2002 SP3.

• Generic CSS templates anywhere (not layout)?

  I am looking for a place where I can download a bunch of CSS stylesheets to change the appearance of my titles, links, paragraphs, etc. I am not an artist, so I am hoping to leverage other people's skills in choosing the right fonts, colors, sizes, etc. I do not want to include layout because then it won't be as generic. • Static field in class - Is it a re-instantiated for each static method call?

  If I have a static class with a static field such as: private static myField = new myObject(); I then have a bunch of static methods that use myField. Is myField re-instantiated for each method call? My guess is that it's instantiated the first time a method is called that uses it and it remains in memory until the GC clears it up? • Does string concatenation use StringBuilder internally?

  Three of my coworkers just told me that there's no reason to use a StringBuilder in place of concatenation using the + operator. In other words, this is fine to do with a bunch of strings: myString1 + myString2 + myString3 + myString4 + mySt... The rationale that they used was that since .NET 2, the C# compiler will build the same IL if you use the + operator as if you used a StringBuilder. This is news to me. Are they correct?

Some of the DLLs have their own app.config, which I want to be copied autmatically to the web project's output directory. Is there any suitable generic way to achieve this?

• jQuery is not defined on my staging server but works fine on my local

  If you pop open this page with your javascript console, you'll notice a bunch of JS errors. I don't get these errors in my local environment and it seems like it is happening because $ is not defined. I have tried to mimic my local environment exactly on staging by using the same environment.rb file and removing all JS caching but it is making no difference. Can anyone tell why jQuery is crapping out? It might be something really stupid, but I need a second pair of eyes.

• C++ DLL-Linking UnResolved Externals

  I have a rather big Core project that I'm working with, I'm attempting to adapt it to use a DLL Engine I've built, I'm getting a bunch of errors like: unresolved external symbol "private: static class When including some of the headers from the Core in the DLL, the class is exported via __declspec(dllexport) but any header with static members throws out a crapload of errors regarding the static members. This is a rather big project, I can't exactly run around removing every static class member I see, is there anyway around this kind of thing?
