  Hi! Once upon a time, my pc suite had a function to prepare ringtones and upload them to the E65. Now I find myself with the all-new Nokia PC Suite 7.1 and I cannot find anything which resembles that function. I used to select a midi file, add some options, listen to a preview, and then upload it. It would appear among the ringing tones when customizing profiles. I tried this "Nokia Music" which is linked from the PC Suite, but it won't recognize the headset. What can I do?

• How do you add a certificate for WLAN in Linux, at the command-line?

  I'm using Maemo on a Nokia n810 Internet tablet, and when given a list of installed certificates to choose from when connecting to a PEAP wireless network, it's always blank. I've already installed a couple of certificates through the gui on the device, and only the certificate authorities show up. I've confirmed that Maemo's connection software that handles certificates is buggy, in such a way that certificates are never added, or properly added certificates cannot be found. Is there a way to add WLAN certificates at the command-line, and connect to a wireless network at the command-line as well? I used to use iwconfig to connect, but I never used it with PEAP. Note: I have nothing in /etc/ssl/certs

• Is it possible to add files to the "Wordpress Media Library" using the command line?

  Wordpress has it's own "Media Library" which is used when you upload images and other media for use in blog posts and pages. The advantage of the media library is that it automatically produces thumbnails of the images and the web interface gives you extra info such as who uploaded the image, which articles use the image, etc. My question is, does anyone have any tips on interacting with the media library via the command line instead of using the Wordpress web interface? For example, any ideas on how to add a image to the media library from the command line? If I copy files to the media library directory (usually .../wp-content/uploads/YYYY/MM/) from the command line they do not show up in the Wordpress dashboard - I guess because there needs to be an associated database entry for the media to be registered with Wordpress.

  I am trying to open an additional mailbox in Outlook 2003 for one of my users. She already has three additional mailboxes in the list (found in the advanced account settings), and these work fine. When I click the "Add..." button, it immediately reports: The name could not be resolved. The action could not be completed. This is before I am prompted for the name. We're using an externally hosted Exchange 2007 server. How do I resolve this?

  Hi folks, I've purchases a few e-books and love it. Some come with a massive list of bookmarks (kewl!) and some not. Regardless, is there a way i can create my OWN bookmarks so i can jump to specific pages? I don't want to mess up the current list of official bookmarks that came with the e-books (where they were provided). It's like i want to add my own sticky note tabs so i can quickly jump between pages etc, without having to remember the page number. Also, this is for Adobe reader (the free thingy). If it's available in another program (eg. Foxit, please say so also :) ) cheers!

  From a Windows 2003 server machine I browsed the network to an XP client (\computername in Explorer) then double-clicked Printers and Faxes and then Add Printer. In the wizard, normally the second screen asks if you want to install a local printer or a network printer. Well, in this case, it seems to assume I want a local printer, because the second screen is what would normally be the third screen if you chose local printer and clicked Next. I want to install a network printer on a remote machine for its local users. Is this not possible? If not, why not?

I have added in main.cf the new fqdn in relay_domains relay_domains = $mydestination, example.com,example2.com, externe.example.com and in transport example.com smtp:[192.168.1.22] example2.com smtp:[192.168.1.22] external.example.com smtp:[192.168.1.22] Mails sent to users with example.com and example2.com domain are well delivered. • How to add command line arguments to command line arguments in Windows shortcut?

  I know I can add a command line argument/option to a shortcut this way; for example: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" www.a.com So IE will connect to a.com when it starts up. What I would like to do is to get IE connecting to a.com when I call it through another program like the following: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ForceBindIP.exe 192.168.1.151 "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" www.a.com This does not work. IE starts up but doesn't go to a.com. It seems like the argument is either ignored or is understood as an argument of ForceBindIP instead (I'm not sure). What I am trying to do is to create 2 IE shortcuts such each of them binds one IE window to one NIC and one particular website. So adding the www.a.com etc in its startup list won't help. OS is Windows 8. Apologize if this has been asked and answered before. Please suggest keywords for searching if that's the case.

• My datacenter is unable to add PTR/rDNS record, then how can I prevent the mail outgoing from going to spam folder?

  I am having problem that mail sent out from my server all goes to recipient's spam folder. I am running Drupal sites on Linux server. CentOS w/ cPanel. Our users cannot receive email as the mail went to the spam folder. (such as registration email, contact form email) I was advised that I need to have PTR/rDNS record added for my host. I then contact my datacenter to add PTR/rDNS thing, unfortunately, the datacenter said they are unable to do it. So what can I do? Any other ways I can fix the problem? Thank you!

We have two computers in the apartment running Windows 7 and Windows Vista. 99% of the time we use headphones but every now and then we have a desire for some ambiance so we got a set of 2.1 speakers. But now only one of us has access to the speakers unless we move them around every now and then. So I was wondering if it's possible to add the other computer's sound card as a hardware device on my computer so that I can configure, for instance, Winamp to play through the other computer's sound card, hence the speakers connected to the other computer.

• Start a ZFS RAIDZ zpool with two discs then add a third?

  Let's say I have two 2TB HDDs and I want to start my first ZFS zpool. Is it possible to create a RAIDZ with just those two discs, giving me 2TB of usable storage (if I understand it right) and then later add another 2TB HDD bringing the total to 4TB of usable storage. Am I correct or does there need to be three HDDs to start with? The reason I ask is I already have one 2TB drive I'm using that's full of files. I want to transition to a zpool but I'd rather only buy two more 2TB drives if I can. From what I understand, RAIDZ behaves similarly to RAID5 (with some major differences, I know, but in terms of capacity). However, RAID5 requires 3+ drives. I was wondering if RAIDZ has the same requirement. If I have to, I can buy the three drives and just start there, later adding the fourth, but if I could start with two and move to three that would save me $80.

• Firefox (on windows) constantly consuming 10% CPU - is there an add-in to find the rogue tab?

  I often have many Firefox windows open, each with many tabs. Now and then one of the tabs will be running a web page that for some reason consumes lots of resources. Right now, I have a tab somewhere that is constantly consuming 10% of the CPU...which would be fine as my computer can easily handle that (see specs below...all other apps are responsive), but it seems to slow Firefox down....everything, everywhere is extremely laggy in Firefox, I can see pauses while I type this. Is there: - a way I can isolate separate instances (or even tabs) in FF into a separate process, so one rogue tab doesn't bog down FF across the entire system? - maybe an add-in that can either identify tabs consuming lots of CPU, or maybe a way to "shut down" activity on tabs you haven't used in a while? • Why am I getting 'undefined method' exceptions when executing 'run_list add', 'run_list remove' and 'rackspace server delete'?

  [Originally posted this to opscode forum, got no response] I’m testing out a free hosted chef-server account and multiple subcommands are failing with ‘Unexpected Errors’. Perhaps my version and the server version are incompatible? OS: Ubuntu 12.04LTS Local Chef: 10.12.0 (Installed through gem) Local Ruby: 1.8.7 Also, the workstation machine has been manually configured, but the client(s) I’ve been experimenting with are launched with the Rackspace plugin (using ‘knife rackspace server create…’) The problem commands seem to fail when talking to the host chef-server, however, before it ever tries to modify the client, so I don’t believe that’s where the problem exists. The virtual-servers that are launched by ‘knife rackspace server create’ are launched properly but then deleting them with knife fails. If I include a recipe in the run_list when I create the server, the recipe is properly added to the run_list. If I try to add it later or remove the one that there server was initialized with, those commands fail. This file will be included, before the VirtualHost statement is issued, but it can't be embedded inside it. Can I (and if yes, how) target configuration settings to foo.example.com requests only, outside the VirtualHost container?

• Windows 7: how can I add an IP range in the "route" command?

  Hi, I'm using two network connections, and I tried using the "route" command so that when I access a specific internal IP on my LAN, it would use connection 1, anything else would go normally through connection 2 (which doesn't have access to my LAN). The problem is I have a bunch of internal IP's that I need to access, and the "route" command doesn't seem to allow me to add an IP range instead of specific IP. And connection 1 doesn't have internet access, so I can't use it as my default connection. Any idea how this can be solved? Your help is appreciated

  Can I add a SATA drive to a Windows 7 machine which is in standby mode? The hardware supports hot-plug. Could pulling the drive out while in standby corrupt the data on the drive (unflushed caches, ...)? Does Windows flush before standing by? How about swapping a drive with another drive of different kind (SSD - mechanical disk) and size, also while in stand-by. Could the OS when waking up believe that the old drive is still there, and write to it and thus corrupt it, since the new one has different partitions and data?

  I was wondering is there any way to add additional, alternative key binding to a particular feature in compiz? I am using Wall plugin and on my ThinkPad it is convenient to switch between horizontal workspaces with media buttons for browser navigation. But there just two of them, so I have to use completely different combinations to switch between workspaces vertically and that would very helpful if I can also use similar kind of combination to switch horizontally as well in addition to those media buttons. Is there a way maybe to send a message to the compiz to execute particular command? That would solve the issue.

  I would like to perform an ad hoc capture of data using perfmon.exe for a process that runs during the night. I know the name of the executable--lets call it Foo.exe. If the process were currently running, I would go to the Add Counters dialog in perfmon, switch to the Process object, and select the Foo instance from the list. However, it's not currently running. Is it possible to set up perfmon so that it will capture process data for this process when it starts, and if so, how would I configure it to do so?

  I am still new to SharePoint and am learning so much, but have came in to a few hic-ups and here is one. I want to add an approver to SharePoint 2010 who has FULL CONTROL. My manager requested that I find out where the approval request are going and redirect them to him. (I have no idea where or how to find this out). Is this possible to do on the Central Administration or must I go into each site/subsite and set him to be the approver this way? Googled and the site was showing me how to approve workflows or how to create approvals, my other resources didn't give much help either. So far I had gone into a few individual sites and set my manager and I up as approvers with full control, but am uncertain if this is the correct procedure or if there is a better way to do this. For example, have the lower levels inherit from the higher level - set security at the highest level and cascade to the child levels. Thank You.

• Add a right click context menu in certain WIndows folders that will open a web browser URL?

  In a Windows Explorer window where you browse files in Windows 7, I would like to add a new context menu that will allow me to open a file on my local Dev Server. So it would have to open a browser like Google Crome and the URL would have to be the file path but slightly different removing part of it and prepending my localhost URL. For example if the file I am right clicking on, the path for that file might be... E:\Server\htdocs\labs\php\testProject\test.php I would need a button to click in the context menu Open in Browser and it would open my Web Browser with a URL like this... http://localhost/labs/php/testProject/test.php I would love to be able to do this, any ideas or help would greatly be appreciated! To go one step further, would to be able to somehow make the context menu item only show up on File that are under this folder.... ``E:\Server\htdocs` but this is far less important.

• Disabled annotation tools in Skim

  Here's a portion of the toolbar in Skim In the Add Note section, why are the following tools disabled (dimmed)? Add New Highlight (A in the yellow box) Add New Underline (red line under A) Add New Strike Out (A struck out by red line) However, in the Tool Mode section, there is a drop down button (shown as active in the screenshot). To illustrate, I can select and use the Add New Underline tool, as well as the other tools I mentioned above, using the drop down button. But those tools are dimmed out in the Add Note section. Why? I have observed that the drop down button is just a duplicate of the Add Note section. Why not just enable all the buttons in the Add Note section and save the user from making an extra click just to bring down a list of tools? Is this because of some property of the presently open PDF, or what?
