  I'm working with the jqGrid and I want to know if exists an event to read a double click in the Editing Form? Has example: I have a grid with ColumnA and ColumnB. • How do You Center a TextView in Layout?

  I have a complex layout, part of which features a value centered over a label, with + and - buttons on either side of the value. I want the value to center between the buttons, whether it is "1" or "99". It looks fine when it's a 2-digit number like "99", but when it's a single digit the number is left-justified. How do I properly center that value? • How to add css to form elements if attribute class is already being used in Jquery

  Hey guys This is probably a dumb question - I'm using Jquery to validate the form. So the form elements have the class="required" attribute. input type="text" name="last_name" class="required"/ Now if i want to apply some css properties to the input fields of this form - how do I do that. I do not want to declare a general css for all input elements - I have declared the css as follows: input.form { color: #000; background: #fff; border: 2px solid #E1E1E1; font-size: 16pt; width:150px; } And I want to use it this way input class="form" type="text" name="last_name" class="required"/ But this wont work as there are two class attributes here. • Could Python's logging SMTP Handler be freezing my thread for 2 minutes?

  A rather confusing sequence of events happened, according to my log-file, and I am about to put a lot of the blame on the Python logger, which is a bold claim. I thought I should get some second opinions about whether what I am saying could be true. I am trying to explain why there is are several large gaps in my log file (around two minutes at a time) during stressful periods for my application when it is missing deadlines. I am using Python's logging module on a remote server, and have set-up, with a configuration file, for all logs of severity of ERROR or higher to be emailed to me. Typically, only one error will be sent at a time, but during periods of sustained problems, I might get a dozen in a minute - annoying, but nothing that should stress SMTP. I believe that, after a short spurt of such messages, the Python logging system (or perhaps the SMTP system it is sitting on) is encountering errors or congestion. The call to Python's log is then BLOCKING for two minutes, causing my thread to miss its deadlines. (I was smart enough to move the logging until after the critical path of the application - so I don't care if logging takes me a few seconds, but two minutes is far too long.) This seems like a rather awkward architecture (for both a logging system that can freeze up, and for an SMTP system (Ubuntu, sendmail) that cannot handle dozens of emails in a minute**), so this surprises me, but it exactly fits the symptoms. Has anyone had any experience with this? Can anyone describe how to stop it from blocking? ** EDIT: I actually counted. A little under 4000 short emails in two hours. So far more than I suggested, sorry. But enough to over-fill a Sendmail's buffers?

• Location of the fonts on the iPhone?

  I'm using the FreeType2 library in an iPhone project, and I'm trying to simply load a TTF file from the system, if possible. Is /System/Library/Fonts not the location of the fonts? Or, do iPhone apps simply not have any read access at all to that directory. Thanks!

  I am currently writing a formal research report, and I'll be including JavaScript and PHP code. None of the sections of code will be more than 25 lines (so they're mere snippets). There will be approx. half a dozen snippets, each of which will have a couple of paragraphs explaining what is happening in the code and a discussion on its pros/cons. Is there an accepted way of displaying code in research reports? I'm thinking in terms of font, spacing, whether the code should be displayed inside the document or in an appendix, and related details. I have no contact with the body the report will be submitted to, and they have no published guidelines on how to format code.

• Honor Whitespace padding to display columns in fixed width <select>

The problem is the whitespace is contracted so that the columsn don't line up. SAme results in FF, IE6 and Chrome. What am I missing?

• Finding text's bounding rect in Core Text

  I'm trying to find the boundaries of a line of text in Core Text. For simplicity, assume it has a single character. At the moment I'm using the following method: line = CTLineCreateWithAttributedString(attrString); rect = CTLineGetImageBounds(line, context); It works most of the times, but for some characters, like math italic d (Unicode: 0x1D451) or math italic q (Unicode: 0x1D45E), the width is a bit short. I tried using CTLineGetTypographicBounds() or CTFramesetterSuggestFrameSizeWithConstraints, but they didn't help either (I think they use glyph's advance to find the width, not its graphical width.) As the font itself isn't italic, I also can't use slant angle to correct this. I tried accessing the glyphs directly and using CTFontCreatePathForGlyph(), but failed as CGGlyph and UniChar are both 16-bits and I need 32-bit characters. Does anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong? If so, what's the right way?

• Console-like control that allows full control over individual text formatting

  I'm tinkering with writing a simple text-based role-playing game. I would like to use WinForms, and utilize WinForm controls for the UI and simple text for the output. The catch is, I would like to have complete control over the formatting of the individual text - some words being different colors, etc. A simple console control would suffice, as that would provide control over text colors, but it would be nice to also be able to change style, font and size. Less important: it would be nice to have complete control over where text appears in the control through a coordinate system, as with DOS windows of old. I'd appreciate suggestions on the best method of implementing this. Perhaps there is a better method I had not considered for rendering the output of a text-based game.

• How to generate pdf files _with_ utf-8 multibyte characters using Zend Framework

  Hello, I've got a "little" problem with Zend Framework Zend_Pdf class. Multibyte characters are stripped from generated pdf files. E.g. when I write aabccdee it becomes abcd with lithuanian letters stripped. I'm not sure if it's particularly Zend_Pdf problem or php in general. Source text is encoded in utf-8, as well as the php source file which does the job. Thank you in advance for your help ;) P.S. I run Zend Framework v. 1.6 and I use FONT_TIMES_BOLD font. FONT_TIMES_ROMAN does work

• <mx:HTML/> content looks crusty when resized

  I've got HTML component as part of a datagroup itemrenderer which I need to resize the content of (there are lots of them). This works quite well but the content looks really crusty. No font antialiasing. Even at 50% looks crusty. I've considered generating thumbnails bitmaps on load 'complete', but that would be my last resort. <mx:HTML location="{uri}" width="900" height="660" scaleX=".25" scaleY=".25" /> Any ideas?   I'm using TCPDF and following this example which uses writeHTML and heredoc syntax to write a table. http://www.tcpdf.org/examples/example_048.phps I'm trying to do though is switch the font using setFont before writing each column. This means I have to break the html and write it on different pieces (see pseudo code). But once I break the HTML like that, it doesn't work, I think because it becomes invalid. writeHTML <tr> writeHTML first column setFont() writeHTML second column writeHTML </tr> I want to use writeHTML because it helps me write the table without having to manually construct. But how can I make modifications before I output each cell?

• UITextView like iPhone Notes application

  I am trying to recreate the Notes application. Also under every text there is a line where did that came from. Does someone have an idea or a sample project I can take a look at?

• Problem with usercontrol scaling when added at run-time in .Net, WinForms

  First here's the steps to replicate, then I'll explain what the problem is: (1) Add a usercontrol to a form in the construtor, after the InitializeComponent call. (2) Run the form. (3) Click a button to increase the form font size. All the controls within the usercontrol scale perfectly but the usercontrol itself doesn't. It's width and height are increased by way too much. To correct the problem, the usercontrol must be added before the InitializeComponent call. If it wasn't possible for me to add the usercontrol before InitializeComponent, is there any way for me to correct the scaling?

• Why No NSAttributedString on the iPhone?

  Hey guys, Does anyone know what made Apple leave out NSAttributedString when turning AppKit into UIKit? The reason I ask is that I would really like to use it in my iPhone app, and there appears to be no replacement or alternative than doing it myself... It is possible to have mixed font attributes on a string - it's just a hell of a lot of work to to achieve something similar that was possible with a few lines of code with NSAttributedString. Also, doing all this extra drawing code myself makes my table view cells really heavy, and really hurts performance. Anyone got any ideas? Any genius's working on an opensource alternative to NSAttributedString?
