  • DBMS debugger causes TOAD to hang

    I can start the dbms debugger in Toad and use it normally but if I hit the 'halt execution' button or just hit the 'Run' button to reach the end of the function it causes TOAD to hang. Windows reports it as not responding and I have to kill it through the task manager. I have had this problem in Toad 9.7.2.5 and Toad 10 on two different laptops. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If you have did you find a solution to this?

    I am trying to code TDD style in PHP and one of my biggest stumbling blocks (other than lack of a decent IDE) is that I have to make my own hacked together IoC container just to inject all my mock objects properly. Has anyone used an Ioc container in php? All I've been able to find is PHP IOC on the ever-annoying phpclasses.org and it seems to have almost no documentation and not much of a following.

  • Is there a PHP refactoring tool to tell what functions are never called?

    I have a large codebase which has suffered many changes over the years. I would like to remove the functions that are no longer called or relevant. Is there a tool that will analysis the codebase and determine if a method is ever used? I'm also using phpunit/xdebug which reports which functions have not been run for the unit tests, however coverage is only at 55% and will require a massive amount of work to bring it up to 100% (I'm working on it!). Anything that was a command line tool would be extra good as I could hook it into hudson (CI).

  • Create symbolic link to files on an FTP server

    I do a lot of work with files hosted on an FTP server. Currently to edit a file on the server I have to open the server in Cyberduck, navigate with the mouse to the folder I want and then click "Edit," which opens a temporary file. Anyway, editing files on the server would be way easier if I could use the terminal to navigate through the file directory and edit files. Is there a way to create a symbolic link in my home directory to an FTP server? edit: I'm on a Mac

  • 'Hot code replace' not working -- Eclipse doesn't change any code on JBoss

    Hello, fellow visitors! I'm currently experiencing a problem with 'hot code replace' not working on Eclipse Galileo and JBoss 4.2.3. Among other applications I'm running an exploded Java WAR on my local JBoss. The project from which it is build is managed by Maven. I build the project using the Maven goal war:exploded and then I copy that directory to JBoss with an ANT script. When I'm now running the application and set a breakpoint anywhere in the code, Eclipse properly halts at that line in the debug mode. But when I'm making a change to the source file and save it, Eclipse doesn't apply this change to the JBoss. For example, when I make a normal code line into a comment, the debugger still steps over this comment as if it was regular Java code. Or when I remove a line, the debugger seems to get out of sync with the file and starts stepping over parenthesis. But I'm not getting any 'hot code replace error'-messages either. It seems to me that Eclipse applies the changes to the source files, but doesn't apply it to the JBoss. Are there any special preferences that have to be turned on in order to make hot code replace work? Or are there any mistakes in how I build and deploy the application to the JBoss?   • Any collaborative tool/website to localize an Android app?

    My open source Android application has internationalization done the Android way, with strings.xml files. The community has many people from many countries, and they are willing to contribute/improve translations using a collaborative website. There is Launchpad but it only supports the gettext format so we would have to use scripts, not very convenient. There is Crowdin but somehow this website seems dead, nearly no projects, and the download links do not work. Actually we started using Crowdin but all download links fail to give any strings.xml file back, see here. What website is convenient for translating open source Android applications?

  • Upgrading Visual Studio 2010 RC to RTM

    I have the RC build of VS2010 installed on my computer. Now that the RTM build is out, I want to upgrade. Aside from the main Visual Studio package and .NET Framework 4, what else should I remove before I install the RTM build in order to minimize potential breakage/conflicts? VS2010 installs a whole bunch of ancillary packages and I'm not sure which ones have been upgraded between RC and RTM. (Extra credit: I've got another machine that is still running Beta 2. Would the procedure be the same?)

  • Can you determine hasLayout in IE8's developer toolbar?

    There was a lot of talk that IE8 was supposed to fix/remove hasLayout. Doesn't seem to have happened, though it's not usually an issue. The problem is that when it does crop up there doesn't seem to be a way for IE8's developer toolbar to tell you hasLayout is being applied, as it used to do in IE7's developer toolbar. Does anyone have a workaround? Am I missing something obvious?

  • Can preventing directory listings in WordPress upload folders cause Google ranking drops when they cause 403 errors in Webmaster Tools?

    I recently moved to a new host that blocks crawling to my uploads folders but (hopefully) allows the files in the folder to be crawled. I now show many 403 errors for each folder in the uploads folder in my Webmaster Tools. For example, http://www.rewardcharts4kids.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/ shows a 403 error. For example, I can access this file: http://www.rewardcharts4kids.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/lunch-box-notes.jpg but I cannot access the folder it is in. My rankings went down after I moved to this host and I am wondering if: this could be the reason. is this how files/folders are supposed to be set up?

    I have a Django app that gets it's data completely from an external source (queried via HTTP). That is, I don't have the option for a local database. Session data is stored in the cache (on my development server I use a SQLite database, so that is no error source). I'm using bleeding edge Django 1.1svn. Enter the problem: I want to use Django's own authentication system for the users. It seems quite simple to write my own Authentication Backend, but always just under the condition that you have a local database where to save the users. Without database my main problem is persistence. I tried it with the following (assume that datasource.get() is a function that returns some kind of dict): class ModelBackend (object): """Login backend.""" def authenticate (self, username=None, password=None): """Check, if a given user/password combination is valid""" data = datasource.get ('login', username, password) if data and data['ok']: return MyUser (username=username) else: raise TypeError return None def get_user (self, username): """get data about a specific user""" try: data = datasource.get ('userdata', username) if data and data['ok']: return data.user except: pass return None class MyUser (User): """Django user who isn't saved in DB""" def save (self): return None But the intentionally missing save() method on MyUser seems to break the session storage of a login.     I am new Pentaho Reporting Tool. I have the following question: When I created a report using Pentaho Report Designer, it output a report file having .prpt extension. After that I found an example on internet where the following code were used to display the report in html format:| protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { ResourceManager manager = new ResourceManager(); manager.registerDefaults(); String reportPath = "file:" + this.getServletContext().getRealPath("sampleReport.prpt"); try { Resource res = manager.createDirectly(new URL(reportPath), MasterReport.class); MasterReport report = (MasterReport) res.getResource(); HtmlReportUtil.createStreamHTML(report, response.getOutputStream()); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } And the report got printed successfully. So as we haven't specified any datasource information here, I think that the .prpt file contains that information in it. If that's true than Isn't Jasper is better Reporting tool than Pentaho because when we display Jasper reports, we have to provide datasource details also so in that way our report is flexible and is not bound to any particular database.
