  I use ack and I like it. However from time to time I need to search for something in my code base and I want to ignore all the files residing in test directory. Basically all the files which have test in their absolute path should be not included in the search. How do I achieve that? I am willing to have a custom bash script. Something like ack_no_test "application" - search for "application" in all files but ignore files residing in test directory

• Problem with user logins after db Restore

  I have two SQL 2005 instances that reside on different networks. I need to backup a database from instance A and restore it to a database in instance B on a weekly basis so that both databases hold the same data. After the restore, logins SIDS on database B are changed and therefore users can't log into database B and connection strings for the web application it supports are broken. Is there a work around for this? Thanks.

  Sorry for the dramatic sounding title, just wanted to know if there is a way to prevent all types of PHP commands from executing EXCEPT one. For example, now when I kill a script using die() my pages look half broken because the bottom part of the page's html failed to load since it was being brought in using the include() function. So is there a way to tell PHP "don't allow any more commands to be executed except the include function" ?

Furthermore, it is expected to loop several (adv 40) times before doing something else, so the mostOfTheWork part would most likely be as high up as possible, even if just for readability.   I have a grid with 2 columns, a listbox in column 0 and a number of other controls in the a secondary grid in the main grids column 1. I want this controls only to be enabled (or perhaps visible) if an items is selected in the listbox through binding.   I'm struggling to find a tag selection UI for a rails app. Ideally it would be something like the selection here on Stackoverflow, or on Delicious or Digg. I want users to be able to select multiple tags with a single click. We're already using jQuery, so it makes sense to use something that takes advantage of that. I've used the selection ui in jQuery and I'm not thrilled about having users need to hold down ctrl to select multiple tags.
