  Hello., Whenever i need to copy some files and couldnt find a pen drive, [ i dont have bluetooth enabled in my lap], I create a new ad hoc (wireless) network in windows and share the necessary files on the network and share files with the other system. Now, i want to do the same with Ubuntu. But, i couldn't. I could create a new network, but i am not able to chare or send or even dont know how to access the system connected to the network. The idea is as follows: An employee wants to make a purchase, so they will go to the appropriate page in the intraNet They will fill out the form on the intraNet page They click the email button The data in the form is saved in a database, and an email is sent to me stating that there is purchase order request form filled out I am not exactly sure how to go about this. Part of me wants to create it in a Data Access Page but I am not sure that's correct. If there is no one here who can help, is there anyone who can direct me to someone/something that can help me?

  I actually resell hosting plans by using one single cPanel account and many addon domains under it. Basically for each new user I don't create a new cP account, but I simply create a new ADDON domain and give him the necessary space. I know in this way the final user won't be able to manage his emails and he won't be able to access all cPanel features, but that's ok. I know in my account I'm allowed to add unlimited addon domains, but adding many addon domains is there something that might happen that slows down cPanel or could create problems? Any suggestions you could give me about the way i'm using cPanel which might not be the usual way of using it. (As for instance: "be aware that mails from different addon domains under the same CP account could create many problems.", etc.) Thanks!

  My machine has a 300 GB hard drive. I'm planning to reinstall Windows 7 on this machine soon. It has three partitions: a System partition, and two equal data partitions for particular types of data (music, photos, docs, etc). These data partitions are too small for the data they hold, and the system partition is large enough to be shrunk. I want to create four partitions in preparation for the fresh reinstall, a System partition, and three data partitions of varying sizes (40, 50, & 60 GB respectively). My question: Can I shrink the System volume, create another partition, and make the existing two data partitions bigger without losing any data that is currently on the hard drive? Or is it better to format the whole thing, and create partitions after (thus removing the current OS) with a partitioning tool booting from CD? Can I reformat and create partitions with the Windows 7 set up DVD?

  I've never seen an email client that I could easily create a rule to do something like "Move messages from yesterday to a folder?" Is there some esoteric reason why this would be difficult? I know I can easily create rules around specific dates, but that isn't the same thing by a long shot; am I missing something? In Outlook 2010 I can create search folders that do sort of this type of thing, but you can't create rules around a search folder... seems like either I am missing something major, or this is terribly short-sided.

  Hi, I'm trying to create a bootable usb key with linux (debian) and that can be booted on Macintel hardware. I have read that MAC's EFI can only boot GPT GUID formatted disks. I'm desperately trying to find a good tutorial which explains how to create such a key. Here what I have done so far: create a GUID partition on te key using linux GNU parted create a HFS+ or ext3 partition on the key, with the boot flag on install a linux .iso with unetbootin While all steps were successfull and in some cases I could even boot on a PC, the step of booting on Macintel software failed (on a macbook). I need to precise that I holded the "alt" key while booting the mac and the only visible bootable disk was the hard disk. Thanks for any advice. PS: I have tried with rEFIt as well. In one case I had a "windows" icon but it then failed to boot with a message like "no system found"

  Had a nice PHP/HTML/JS prototype working on my personal Linode, then tried to throw it into a work machine. The page adds a script tag dynamically with some JavaScript. It's a bunch of Google charts that update based on different timeslices. My question: Given what I've laid out, and that the machine is running on :8080, is there a reason anyone can think of as to why a dynamically loaded function like function2() would be defined on the Linode and not on the machine running Apache on 8080?

  I have to add either an embed tag for Firefox or an object tag for Internet Explorer with JavaScript to address the appropriate ActiveX / Plugin depending on the browser. The plugin could be missing and needs to get downloaded in this case. The dynamically added embed tag for Firefox works as expected. The dynamically added object tag for Internet Explorer seems to do nothing at all. The object tag needs the following attributes to function properly. id ="SomeId" classid = "CLSID:{GUID}" codebase = "http://www.MyActicexSource.com/MyCuteActivex.CAB#Version=2,0,0,1" Even a general working idea or method would be nice.   For debugging / performance tests I would like to dynamically add logging code to all event handlers of components of a given type. For example, for all Dataset components located ona TDatamodule, I would like to add some code for the BeforeOpen and the AfterOpen event to store the start and end time and send a line to a logger with the elapsed time in the AfterOpen event. I would prefer to do this dynamically (no component subclassing), so that I can add this to all existing datamodules and forms with minimal effort only when needed. Iterating all components and filtering by their type is easy, but for the components which already have event handlers assigned, I need a way to store the existing event handlers, and assign a new modified event handler which first does the logging and then will invoke the original code which was already present. Is there a design pattern which can be applied, or even some example code which shows how to implement this in Delphi?
