• DesktopCouch does not sync

  I have here two computers, both installed with Ubuntu 10.10. The Laptop uses the Netbook Edition. Both are connected, file sync and Tomboy Notes are working. My Desktop syncs databases with Ubuntu One, my Laptop does not. If I delete for example the contacts Database on my Desktop, the database is back a view seconds later. If I delete the same database on my laptop, nothing happens. (I'm using Futon) If I kill beam, delete the config and try to restart with the dbus-send I got an error Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. To keep the client objects in sync with the sever objects, I want the server to send the key/value dictionary every frame for each object. What data-structure/algorithm will allow me to send a list of key/value dictionaries using the least amount of bits? Bonus constraint 1: For each type of object, the values of some keys change more often than others. Bonus constraint 2: Memory usage on the server side is relatively expensive.

What I need is a command line which close the network and don't mess with Network Manager, maybe with the routing table or what else.

I am having trouble setting up the expression, though. Can someone help? Here is what I would normally type for a short argument list. scp ./* phogan@computer/directory... Here's I think this might translate into with find. scp find . -name "*" phogan@computer/directory... Maybe I could use piping? Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

  Perhaps there's a name for what I want, but I'm not aware of it. I need something similar to a LinkedHashMap in Java, but where it returns the 'previous' value if there's no value at the specified key. That is, I have a list of objects stored by an integer key (which is in units of time in my case): ; key->value 10->A 15->B 20->C So, if I were to query for a value for key 0-9, it would return null. The special part is if I queried for something 10 <= i <= 14 it would return A. Or, for i = 20, it would return C. Is there a data structure for this?

  There are quite a few questions on Stack Overflow about the Linq to Entity / Linq to SQL Sum extension method, about how it returns null when the result set is empty: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and many more, as well as a blog post discussing the issue here. Now, I could go a flag these as duplicates, but I feel it is still an inconsistency in the Linq implementation. I am assuming at this point that it is not a bug, but is more or less working as designed. I understand that there are workarounds (for example, casting the field to a nullable type, so you can coalesce with ??), and I also understand that for the underlying SQL, a NULL result is expected for an empty list. But because the result of the Sum extension for nullable types is also not nullable, why would the Linq to SQL / Linq to Entity Sum have been designed to behave this way?

Now to the things i need: I'd like to get the median (or any other math aggregate operation) of each Key within all the dictionaries, so that my function to call would look something like: IDictionary<string, double> GetMedianOfRows(this IList<IDictionary<string, double>> list) The best would be to give some kind of aggregate operation as a parameter to the function to make it more generic (don't know if the func has the correct parameters, but should imagine what i'd like to do): private IDictionary<string, double> Aggregate(this IList<IDictionary<string, double>> list, Func<IEnumerable<double>, double> aggregator) Also my actual biggest problem is to do the job with a single iteration over the list, cause if within the list are 20 variables with 1000 values i don't like to iterate 20 times over the list. Instead i would go one time over the list and compute all twenty variables at once (The biggest advantage of doing it that way would be to use this also as IEnumerable<T> on any part of the list in a later step).   Hi guys. I have an NSMutableArray object(retained, synthesized as all) that is initiated just fine and I can easily add objects to it using the 'addObject:' method. But if I want to replace an object at a certain index with a new one in that NSMutableArray, it doesn't work. • Why Does Adding a UDF or Code Truncates the # of Resources in List?

  Go to the Primavera - Resource Assignment History subject area.  Go under Resources, General and add fields Resource Id, Resource Name and Current Flag. Because this is using a historical subject area with Type II slowly changing dimensions for Resources you may get multiple rows for each resource if there have been any changes on the resource.  You may see a few records with current flags = 0, and you will see a row with current flag = 1 for all resources. Current flag = 1 represents this is the most up to date row for this resource.  In this query the OBI server is only querying the W_RESOURCE_HD dimension.  (Query from nqquery log) select distinct 0 as c1,      D1.c1 as c2,      D1.c2 as c3,      D1.c3 as c4 from       (select distinct T10745.CURRENT_FLAG as c1,                T10745.RESOURCE_ID as c2,                T10745.RESOURCE_NAME as c3           from                 W_RESOURCE_HD T10745 /* Dim_W_RESOURCE_HD_Resource */            where  ( T10745.LAST_RUN_PER_DAY_FLAG = 1 )       ) D1 If you add a resource code to the query now it is forcing the OBI server to include data from W_RESOURCE_HD, W_CODES_RESOURCE_HD, as well as W_ASSIGNMENT_SPREAD_HF. Because the Resource and Resource Codes are in different dimensions they must be joined through a common fact table. So if at anytime you are pulling data from different dimensions it will ALWAYS pass through the fact table in that subject areas. One rule is if there is no fact value related to that dimensional data then nothing will show. In this case if you have a list of 100 resources when you query just Resource Id, Resource Name and Current Flag but when you add a Resource Code the list drops to 60 it could be because those resources exist at a dictionary level but are not assigned to any activities and therefore have no facts.   Given: vm - a WinXPsp3 virtual machine hosted by a Win7sp1 physical machine alice is the user on vm srv - a Win2008R2sp1 server bob is the user on srv quake - a linux server mark is the user on quake Both vm and srv have the same new installation of cygwin (1.7.9) and openssh. I have deleted the Tunnel adapters to keep the output minimal. If anyone thinks they matter, do tell so and I will post them as well. In addition ping output is given to show that DNS is correct. The options so far are: Set all the private methods to internal and use [assembly: InternalsVisibleTo()] Separate out all the private methods into a separate class and create an interface. Make all the methods virtual and in my tests create a new class that inherits from this class and override the methods. Are there any other options for testing the above class that would be better that what I've listed? If you would pick one of the ones I've listed can you explain why? Thanks

  Hi I am writing an iPhone app that that is trying to create a second a view when the user clicks on an element in UITableView. Last line in above code segment calls some framework code which eventually calls the viewDidLoad method of the ReplyToViewController. Address of the reply object in the above code and the address of the object in viewDidLoad is not same. Any idea where this new object is coming from? How do I debug? I also added init method the following method in ReplyToViewController hoping that it will get called and I can find who is creating this new object. But it does not stop in this method. • How to store a list of Objects that might change in future?

  I have set of Objects of the same class which have different values of their attributes. and I need to find the best match from a function under given scenarios out of these objects. In future these objects might increase as well. Quite similar to the way we have Color class in awt. we have some static color objects in the class with diff rgb values. But in my case say, I need to chose the suitable color out of these static ones based on certain criteria. So should I keep them in an arrayList or enum or keep them as static vars as in case of Colors. because I will need to parse through all of them and decide upon the best match. so I need them in some sort of collection. But in future if I need to add another type I will have to modify the class and add another list.add(object) call for this one and then it will violate the open-close principle. How should I go about it ?
