    Hi There, I have a field in my database that contain comma seperated values these values are numbers, and I am trying to do a search and count the number of times that a number appears in that column throughout the column, $sql = "SELECT sector_id_csv, COUNT(sector_id_csv) as count FROM cv WHERE sector_id_csv LIKE '$sectorId'"; This seems slow and does not return any results, and I know the sector_id it is search exsists in the table.

  • How to express "where value is in dynamic list" in HQL/GORM?

    For a grails application, I need to find a list of objects whose "attr" is one in a dynamic list of strings. The actual HQL query is more complex, but the bit I need help with is this: def result = MyObject.executeQuery("select o from MyObject as o where o.attr in :list", [list: aListOfStrings]) This is obviously not the right syntax, Grails throws it back at me as an "unexpected token", being the :list parameter. Is this possible in HQL? I don't particularly want to use Criteria in this part of the codebase.

    (This was asked before but the answers were not conclusive) While I love development using Xcode (3.2.1), I have the need to port some projects to other UNIX systems, and even Windows. The code is all C++ but fairly complex. I'm looking for a way to automated / semi-automated generation of equivalent Makefiles out of my Xcode projects, after getting tired to do this by manual trial-and-error. Thanks for any hints.     i started using nginx upload module (which creates upload files like /tmp/000121545) but i need paperclip to use original filename while saving files (like /public/avatars/LuckyLuke.jpg) previously in the parameters Rails were passing just "avatar"=>#<File:/tmp/RackMultipart20100413-6151-t3ecq0-0> no original filename as well, so i am wondering where from does it come in paperclip? i tried looking through plugin code but it's currently a bit too complex for me.

Should I first encode the XML data into BASE64 first prior saving it to an JSON object, due to the fact that JSON does not support binary data?   • Matching non-[a-zA-Z] characters in PHP regex

    I have some strings that need a-strippin': ÃœT: 9.996636,76.294363 Tons of long strings of location codes. A literal regex in PHP won't match them, IE $pattern = /ÃœT:/; echo preg_replace($pattern, "", $row['location']); Won't match/strip anything. (To know it's working, /T:/ does strip the last bit of that string). What's the encoding error going on here? Alternately, I would accept a concise way to take out just the numbers.

The number is formatted with commas. e.g. User enters 100000 textfield looses focus value displayed: 100,000 How can I achieve this in Grails.   • Python - counting sign changes

    I have a list of numbers I am reading left to right. Anytime I encounter a sign change when reading the sequence I want to count it. X = [-3,2,7,-4,1,-1,1,6,-1,0,-2,1] X = [-, +, +, -, +, -, +, +, -, -,-,+] So, in this list there are 8 sign changes. When Item [0] (in this case -3) is negative it is considered a sign change. Also, any 0 in the list is considered [-]. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm looking for a way to have the Xcode IDE pick up on the contents of my weird Boost template classes. Basically, classes complex enough that Xcode can't display their contents correctly. Is there something like the Objective C -description method or toString() in Java that Xcode will look for? At the moment I'm just implementing print() methods and invoking them in gdb, but that's likely to confuse other developers.
