  • Search tool that uses a grammar rather than regular expression?

    Are there any search tools that allow you to set up a simple token/grammar parsing system that work similar to regular expressions? What we want to do is search our ColdFusion code for queries that do not have cfqueryparams in them. A regular expression gets a bit tough in this situation because I can't keep track of the start tags while looking for something else before getting an end tag. It seems like a parsing system would work more accurately.

If I understand correctly the following two markup alternatives are equivalent: <input type="text" name="name" value="${params.name}" id="name" /> <g:textField name="name" value="${params.name}" /> Are there any circumstances under which using g:textField would add value?   • Can I declare the same value for two attributes at once

    For example, for accessibility reasons I want my onfocus and onmouseover to have identical values. For the sake of maintainability I want to declare this once only.     I have a div called "images" which has a width of 277px. Within that div I have 9 images in it, just stored as tags. I've got the images to float left and line up quite nicely within my div, but I would like the images to align vertically, as some are portrait and others are landscape. I know I can do this if I enclose each image in a div, but the plugin I use to launch the gallery won't recognise which image is being fired, so i need to enclose them as just within the tags. This is the code I have, if someone can help me just align the images horizontally and vertically.   • AngularJS directives with async content

    I'm generating a dynamic number of Google Charts tables after receiving the content through an ajax request and I wanted to apply an accordion effect on them. I wanted to know if I could do that with directives (since if I just code render the angular tags they won't get interpreted).   • named anchors not working in safari

    Hi there, can anyone explain why named anchor tags would not work in safari but work fine in other browsers: ie, ff, opera, chrome. I have some links to different areas of the same page and nothing happens when clicking on them in safari only. All the other browsers mentioned take me to that area of the page. I have tried using both the id and the name attribute for the anchors but neither makes any difference.

  • Correct use of a "for...in" loop in javascript?

    Hello everybody, before I ask my question I wanted to let everybody know that I appreciate the fact that there's always somebody out there willing to help, and on my end I'll try to give back to the community as much as I can. Thanks Now, I would like to get some pointers as to how to properly take advantage of the "for...in" loop in JavaScript, I already did some research and tried a couple things but it is still not clear to me how to properly use it. Let's say I have a random number of "select" tags in an HTML form, and I don't require the user to select an option for all of them, they can leave some untouched if they want. However I need to know if they selected none or at least one. The way I'm trying to find out if the user selected any of them is by using the "for...in" loop. For example: var allSelected = $("select option:selected"); var totalSelected = $("select option:selected").length; The first variable produces an array of all the selected options. The second variable tells me how many selected options I have in the form (select tags could be more than one and it changes every time). Now, in order to see if any has been selected I loop through each element (selected option), and retrieve the "value" attribute. The default "option" tag has a value="0", so if any selected option returns a value greater than 0, I know at least one option has been selected, however it does not have to be in order, this is my loop so far: for(var i = 0; i < totalSelected; i++){ var eachOption = $(allSelected[i]).val(); var defaultValue = 0; if(eachOption == defaultValue){ ...redirect to another page }else if(eachOption > defaultValue){ ... I display an alert } } My problem here is that as soon as the "if" matches a 0 value, it sends the user to the next page without testing the rest of the elements in the array, and the user could have selected the second or third options. What I really want to do is check all the elements in the array and then take the next action, in my mind this is how I could do it, but I'm not getting it right: var randomValue = 25; for(randomValue in allSelected){ var found = true; var notFound = false if(found){ display an alert }else{ redirect to next page } } This loop or the logic I'm using are flawed (I'm pretty sure), what I want to do is test all the elements in the array against a single variable and take the next action accordingly.     I made the mistake of creating a Subversion repository without the usual trunk, branches, and tags directories. That is, the root directory of the project maps to the root directory of the repository. Now I want to create a feature branch, but there's no good place to put it. What I'd like to do is move / to /trunk, preserving its properties and history. Am I out of luck?

    I often find this strange CDATA tag in XML files: <![CDATA[]]> I have observed that this CDATA tag always comes at the beginning, and then followed by some stuff. But sometimes it is used, sometimes it is not. I assume it is to mark that some "data" will be inserted after that. But what kind of "data"? Isn't anything I write in XML tags some sort of "data"?
