• How to create reusable WPF grid layout

  I have a window with tab control and number of pages - tab items. Each tab item has same grid layout - 6 rows and 4 columns. Now, each tab item contains grid with row and column definitions, so almost half of XAML is definition of grids. How can I define this grid in one place and reuse that definition in my application? Template? User control? Besides 6x4, I have only two more grid dimensions that repeat: 8x4 and 6x6.

• Basic PHP question for Drupal Views theming

  My PHP and programming knowledge is extremely basic, so this is probably a dumb question: I am theming a View in Drupal 6, and I want to add an id with a consecutive number to each item in the view (first item would have the id #item1, the second #item2, etc). I am customizing the style output (views-view-unformatted--MYVIEWNAME.tpl.php) and the row style output (views-view-fields--MYVIEWNAME.tpl.php), and I want to add a counter variable in the foreach loop in the style output tpl, and then use that variable in the row style output tpl, but the last one is not recognizing the variable. It does not give me any errors, but doesnt print the number. I understand this has probably something to do with variables visibility, how can I declare the counter variable in the style .tpl so I can the use it in the row style .tpl? Thank you

  I am working on a Rails application which uses categories for items. My category model is self-joined so that categories can be nested: class Category < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :items # Self Join (categories can have subcategories) has_many :subcategories, :class_name => "Category", :foreign_key => "parent_id" belongs_to :parent, :class_name => "Category" ... end I have a form which allows a user to create an item which currently lists all categories in a select, but they are all listed together: <%= f.label :category_id %> <%= select :item, :category_id, Category.all.collect {|c| [ c.title, c.id ]} %> So the select looks something like this: Category1 Category2 Category3BelongsTo2 Category4BelongsTo1 But what I want is: Category1 - Category4BelongsTo1 Category2 - Category3BelongsTo2 Is there a helper for this (which would be awesome!)? • How can I prevent a ToggleButton from being Toggled without setting IsEnabled=False

  I have a list of ToggleButtons being used as the ItemTemplate in a ListBox similar to this answer using the MultiSelect mode of the Listbox. However I need to make sure at least one item is always selected. I can get the proper behavior from the ListBox by just adding an item back into the ListBox's SelectedItems collection on the ListBox.SelectionChanged event but my ToggleButton still moves out of its toggled state so I think I need to stop it earlier in the process. I would like to do it without setting IsEnabled="False" on the last button Selected because I'd prefer to stay with the Enabled visual style without having to redo my button templates. Any ideas?

• Maintaining sort order of database table rows

  Say I have at database table containing information about a news article in each row. The table has an integer "sort" column to dictate the order in which the articles are to be presented on a web site. How do I best implement and maintain this sort order. The problem I want to avoid is having the the articles numbered 1,2,3,4,..,100 and when article number 50 suddenly becomes interesting it gets its sort number set to 1 and then all articles between them must have their sort number increased by one. Sure, setting initial sort numbers to 100,200,300,400 etc. leaves some space for moving around but at some point it will break. Is there a correct way to do this, maybe a completely different approach? Added-1: All article titles are shown in a list linking to the contents, so yes all sorted items are show at once. Added-2: An item is not necessarily moved to the top of the list; any item can be placed anywhere in the ordered list.

  Hey Guys, I am trying to generate a full rss feed, however when loading the feed in Mail, it just shows the title, with a read more link at the bottom. I have tried several different options. But none seem to work. I would like to generate the feed with a combination of several feeds in my modl. Is there anyway to prevent this multiple instance ? • Get unique artist names from MPMediaQuery

  I am using MPMediaQuery to get all artists from library. Its returning unique names I guess but the problem is I have artists in my library like "Alice In Chains" and "Alice In Chains ". The second "Alice In Chains" has some white spaces at the end, so it returns both. I dont want that. Heres the code... So, i would appreciate it greatly, if you can suggest how to automate this in php: how to let the php generate the html menu code basing on a flat menu input file with TABS indented. OLD SITUATION <ul> <!-- about 100 of these <li>....</li> lines --> <li><a href="carrot.php"><p class="mnu" style="background-position:0 -820px"><? echo __("carrot juice") ?></p></a></li> <!-- lots of data, with only little bit thats really the menu itself--> </ul a javascript file reads a ul/li structure as input to build menu of format in that ul/li, the items with a hyperlink and sprite-bg position represent webpages, (inside LI) while items without hyperlink and sprite-bg are just headers of that menusection, (inside H6) to highlight the current page in the menu, the javascript menumaker uses an id number. this number corresponds to the consequtive li that is a webpage, skips h6 headers correctly. these h6 headers are only there for when importing sections of the same menu as submenu. non-li headers are not shown in menu, nore counted by the javascript menu for their ID. to know which page should be shown, i have to count from ID 0, the li items till finding the current webpage in the li structure and then manually put it in each webpage! BUT: changing an item in li order, means stupidly re-counting their entire li again! each webpage has an icon (= sprite bg-position numer), which is also used in the webpage. INTENDED RESULT I dream of, once setting what the current webpage is (e.g carrot.php) the menu system automatically "finds" and "counts" the li's and returns the id nr (for proper highlight of main menu); generates the entire menu html, and depending on which headings are set for submenu, (e.g. meals, drinks) generates those submenu (entire section below each given header); ginally adds h5 highlight inside the li of that submenu item. For the menu, i wish an easily readable, simple plain txt menu that is indented with tabs, (each tab is one depth for example) and further tabs follow for url and sprite position of icon.   I am looking for the equivalent of running "File - Save All" before certain Rake macros. What I have so far is: Private Sub Pre_Rake() Dim i As Integer DTE.Documents.SaveAll() For i = 1 To DTE.Solution.Projects.Count If Not DTE.Solution.Projects.Item(i).Saved Then DTE.Solution.Projects.Item(i).Save() End If Next End Sub DTE.Documents.SaveAll works fine, but the for loop does not save the project files as I would expect. If I make a copy of a file in the solution explorer, that file is not included in the project file (.CSPROJ) after Pre_Rake() runs. I would still have to press CTRL-SHIFT-S or File - Save All. So, how to Save All with a Visual Studio Macro?

• PHP controllable menubar position

  I'm an admin for a page and I want to give certain users dynamic control of the menubar layout. The ideal would be a page with a list with menu items and arrows pointing up and down with each item and when you click them the item is reordered. I have a pretty basic idea of how I can do it but I would like some suggestions. The items are stored in MySQL and I only need help figuring out how the items should be ordered or numbered and how to re-order them. This probably needs some javascript trickery and I'm not familiar with JS.

• How would I strip an '&' symbol out of an ESRI dropdown before any of it's default control logic is

  I have an ESRI dropdown control inside of an ESRI toolbar. One of the items in the dropdown needs to have an '&' symbol in it. As it turns out ESRI stuff builds it's callback strings as & delimited strings, so when an item is selected the parent toolbar immediately builds and handles the callback string. At one point it splits strings based on the '&' crashing the app. In effect, having an ampersand in an esri dropdown causes nasty stuff to happen when you select the item. What I need to do is find out how I can hop in before the callback stuff starts happening and strip that & out. I was thinking that perhaps I'd have to create a custom esri toolbar control, but I'm not sure and that'd be pretty undesirable. Any ideas?

The SECOND item I get has * Where is this second entry coming from? This is an Allow Rule, not a Deny rule. I could understand the * from a Deny rule. The problem is that the array that I'm trying to find the inner arrays of is dynamic and made of a user input. (It splits an input string where it finds + or -, and puts it in a separate nested array if it contains brackets. So if the user types a lot of brackets, there will be a lot of nested arrays.) Therefore I need to make this pattern go for 20 times down, and still it will only catch 20 nested arrays no matter what. Is there a function for that, again? Or is there a way to make it do this without my long code? Maybe make a loop make the necessary number of the foreach pattern and run it through eval()? Long answer to J. • How to keep the popup menu of a JComboBox open on populating it ?

  I have a JComboBox on my Panel. One of the popup menu items is 'More' and when I click that I fetch more menu items and add them to the existing list. After this, I wish to keep the popup menu open so that the user realizes that more items have been fetched however, the popup closes.
