• What does the "=>" mean?

  Hey SO, I've got a pretty noob question for ya. I keep seeing this syntax: <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.Email) %> ...and I have no idea what the = means. I thought it was syntax for linq2sql or ado.net entity framework but I'm just using straight ado.net. I don't understand why the VWD used that syntax when generating the Create form. What does = mean?

  I came across this recommendation for reading the C++ report magazine. However, when I searched for it, i realized it has become defunct. Can someone please recommend me some other magazine / rss etc which is of the same genre ? • Java ME bundle Microlog jars with my midlet jar.

In eclipse i can reference Microlog jars and it's all good in dev time, but when i try to launch the application the jars aren't found on the device.   C++ is my first language, and as such I'm used to whitespace being ignored. However, I've been toying around with Python, and I don't find it too hard to get used to the whitespace rules. It seems, however, that a lot of programmers on the Internet can't get past the whitespace rules. From what I've seen, peoples' C++ programs tend to be formatted very consistently with respect to whitespace (or else it's pretty hard to read), so why do some people have such a problem with whitespace-based languages like Python?

  Hi I'm interested to find out what would be the good way to make changes to production database and source code in web application (ASP.NET, SQL Server 2008). A little bit more details, we develop on local machines, and then we need to transfer the code and database changes to production (pretty much standard story). At the moment we do it in the evening, change the database directly from management studio on production server, and then just overwrite the existing asp.net code (copy/past). Thanks

  I'm pretty sure you can, but in addition to answering the question in the title, could you also explain the pros, cons, caveats, if any, to doing so? I know that you can't return a List, Set, Collection, Map, or any interface, from a WebMethod (which is stupid, IMO, but I don't know what the design reasons were should I should probably withhold judgment). • All application passwords lost on Windows 7

  A couple of days ago I changed my Windows 7 login password. My laptop is on my company's domain, so password changes are done over the internal network. Since changing the password I noticed that all my saved Chrome passwords are missing. Also Skype, Windows Live, Internet Explorer and Outlook lost their saved passwords. I guess there could be more applications with lost passwords, but I have not opened them yet. This makes me think that most applications saves their passwords to a general password vault on the Windows system and this vault got somehow corrupted when I changed my domain login password for windows. Do anyone have any idea of how to fix this and prevent it from happening again? EDIT : More Info I do development work at the office, so most of the time I bypass the firewall and connect directly to the internet gateway. Now and then I would connect to the company wifi network to do printing and access files on a NAS. So by default my laptop does not connect to the wifi hotspot. On this occasion to update the password, I had to connect to the wifi. So referring to the comment by OmnipotentEntity below, could this have happened when the system rebooted without a connection to the network as the laptop does not auto connect to the wifi hotspot?

• Function that converts hex color values to an approximate color name?

  I don't suppose anyone knows of a function (PHP, preferably) that can take a hex color code and give an approximate color name for that hex value. I don't need a solution with 100s of colors. Even if it just amounted to the colors white, black, red, green blue, brown orange and yellow, I'd be pretty well in shape. If you don't know of an existing resource, does anyone know of a good way to approach this problem? Thanks in advance for the help.

• MultiOS "Jet Database" for C++/Qt?

  Hopefully I can articulate this well: I'm porting an application I made years ago from VB6 (I know, I know!) to C++/Qt. In my original application, one thing I liked was that I didn't need an actual SQL server running, I could just use MS Access .mdb files. I was wondering if something similar exists for Qt that will work on multiple OSes - a database stored in a file, pretty much, but that I can still run SQL queries with. Not sure if something like this exists or not, but any help appreciated, thanks!

• UITablevViewCellStyle strange behaviour with detailTextLabel

  I have set my UITableViewCellStyle to be Value2, and it shows the detailTextLabel and textLabel, but instead of the detailTextLabel being the small text to the left of the cell, it is now the primary text in the cell, and the textLabel is the small text. Strange behaviour and i'm not sure why? For now i'm just swapping the values over, but I'm pretty sure its not correct. Anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks
