    hi, I'm new to DDD and i want to use entity framework v4.0 (shipped with .net 4.0) in my new project. since i have few time to learn DDD and entity framework, which books are good for me to read first?! i'm going to first read Domain-Driven Design Tackling Complexity in the Heart of Software by Eric Evan and next Pro Entity Framework 4.0 (Apress Scott Klein)... the problem here is Eric Evan's book is too abstract,I want to know if the Pro Entity framework 4.0 is complete enough i just skip the first book! in the end recommend me some good books in DDD and Entity Framework Thanks

  • In Django how display all of the values aftere the for loop is finished instead of displaying them one by one

    Hello, In my django project in the view I call the last 6 values in the column and send them to the template. I then would like to pass into google charts api those 6 values and have a graph. At the moment for some reason I get 6 different graphs. {% for foodbag in foodbags %} <img src="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxl=0:|0|1|2|3|4|5|6&chxr=2,0,0&chxs=0,1,676767,10.5,1,l,676767|2,676767,5.5,0,l,676767&chxt=x,y&chs=300x170&cht=bvg&chco=76A4FB&chd=t:{{foodbag.12}},0&chma=0,5|5,5&chdlp=t&chtt=Food+Bags"/> {% endfor %} I'm not sure how to replace string chd=t:{{foodbag.12}}, with the 6 values I am trying to extract from foodbags.     I am using the Rest Singleton WCF Service temple from the Rest Starter Kit. The temples uses sample item as its sample Item. i am attempting to replace that sample ITem with a custom type from web reference in my ASP.Net project .dll.     What is the best scala-like persistence framework available right now? Hibernate works, but it's not very scala-like. It insists on using annotations, no-arg constructors, doesn't work with anonymous class instances, doesn't work with scala collections, has an outdated string-based query model, etc. I'm looking for something that really fits Scala. Does it exist? Or do I have to make it?

Then, I set LANGUAGES={} in my settings.py along with "gettext lambda": gettext = lambda s: s LANGUAGES = ( ('de', gettext('German')), ('en', gettext('English')), ('ja', gettext('Japanese')), ) Of course, I installed the LocaleMiddleware. I also set the request.session['django_language'] = "ja" How do I test that this is working? How do I see japanese on my site!?

    Hi, I have co-workers working on an Entity Framework model that changes structure (entities), over time as software development progresses. I've written some utilities that interact with the tables within the model, but I'd like to have the code dynamically discover the tables. Is there a way I can do this ?     We just now started doing the A/B testing for our Django based project. Can I get some information on best practices or useful insights about this A/B testing. Ideally each new testing page will be differentiated with a single parameter(just like Gmail). mysite.com/?ui=2 should give a different page. So for every view I need to write a decorator to load different templates based on the 'ui' parameter value. And I dont want to hard code any template names in decorators. So how would urls.py url pattern will be?

  • How do you pass or share variables between django views?

    Hi, I'm kind of lost as to how to do this: I have some chained select boxes, with one select box per view. Each choice should be saved so that a query is built up. At the end, the query should be run. But how do you share state in django? I can pass from view to template, but not template to view and not view to view. Or I'm truly not sure how to do this. Please help!

So far, I've done the following: Create a new project; an iPhone OS window based app. Go to target info- under packaging, change the wrapper extension from app to framework Go to Action-new build phase - copy headers. Change roles of headers to 'public' From my application, I add the framework to the frameworks group.

    Hello. I'm looking into a possible feature for my little to-do application... I like the idea that I can send an email to a particular email address, containing a to-do task I need to complete, and this will be read by my web application and be put in the database... So, when I come to log into my application, the to-do task I emailed will be there as a entry in the app. Is this possible? I have a slice with SliceHost (basically a dedicated server) so I have total control on what to install etc. I'm using Python/Django/MySQL for this. Any ideas on what steps to take to make this happen?

  • How do I read CalDAV objects from Google using python/django?

    I've looked at vObject, iCalendar and the official list of CalDAV libraries, including 3 in python. However, I can't find any code that can get me an event object from a given CalDAV (i.e. google, exchange, etc.) server using a username/password. Most of the django calendar related code uses native code libraries and not WebDAV. An ideal python CalDAV client example would 1) use a given uid/pw, 2) obtain primary calendar and 3) obtain next appointment information (i.e. subject, location, start, end, etc.) Thanks!
