    Hi everyone! Setting up a "basic framework" for my website projects, I'm wondering which meta elements are really necessary/recommended? In particular, I'd like to know how to deal with the language attribute(s)!?   • WordPress plugin to output a certain category on content page tweak help

    I'm using WordPress plugin Category Page to display the most recent 5 posts from a certain category on a regular content page (not the blog page) of a website. Right now the plugin is limited to display the post title linked to the post page. This is a video blog type site and I need the plugin to display the post title (as it does now) with the video as well. Probably just telling the script to show the content would work but I don't know how to tweak it.   • Anchor tags are blank

    I'm having a problem where the my anchor tags sometimes aren't displaying their links. This is happening on Mobile Safari on multiple iPhones, and in the iPhone simulator. I'm using jQtouch r147, PhoneGap, and jQuery 1.4.2. When the list is blank, I see the debug.log() line show me 'html is blank', and I also see the log line show me that the variable 'name' does, in fact, contain a valid name. When I check for anchor.html() == null, I've also tried to .remove() the anchor tag, and re-create it. But it always comes back without the name displayed. This happens on the mobile device and in the simulator, but I've never seen it happen in Safari or in Chrome. Has anyone seen something like this? I can't find the cause, and I can't get it to stop.   • Strange(?) Opera Floating

    I have some strange floating behaviour on opera (IE f's up completely different, but that's for later). I'm floating the i-icons to the right. It works nicely on Fx and WebKit, but opera shifts the icons down a bit. Anyone got an idea how this happenes?     I have a web form in SPARK which allow the editing of a Facility class that contains Rooms. When editing the Facility all the Rooms are listed for editing too. The form works fine for editing, but I would like to include a button "Add Room" that adds a new blank room below the existing ones. Any idea how this is accomplished?     Hello, Can someone help me with this problem: I have a table in a jsp page, with the text in one column being hyperlinks. Whenever anyone of these hyperlinks is clicked the whole table should refresh and repopulate based on the value of the hyperlink clicked. My problem is currently when the hyperlink is clicked the page refreshes with an empty table.     I'm using the script below to get related posts by tags, but noticed that if I have a picture of a bird tagged white and a table also tagged white, the table will show up in the related posts section of the bird. Is there a way to only get posts that match at least one of the categories, so bird and table won't be related, unless they share one category?     My output for my table in HTML has several columns such as userid, name, age, dob. The table heading is simply the title of the column name, I want this to be a link, and when clicked, the selected column is sorted in order, ASC, and then DESC (on next click). I thought this was pretty straight forward but I'm having some difficulty. So far, I have produced this, and no output is taken, apart from the URL works by displaying 'users.php?orderby=userid' <?php if(isset($_GET['orderby'])){ $orderby = $_GET['orderby']; $query_sv = "SELECT * FROM users BY ".mysql_real_escape_string($orderby)."     I hava an iframe which loads some javascript via javascript. In internet explorer only, this works if and only if IE has a cached copy of the javascript. This means that reloading the page (or otherwise triggering the script to run again, if it's stuck in a function or whatever) will cause this code to work, otherwise it will not. In particular, the document.write call fails to happen. When I click a button, I need to check the label, versus all the list items to find the matching one, when it finds that I need to assign the corresponding number.   • asp.net master page/content page interaction with style sheet

    Learning how to do a master page in asp.net. Trying to figure out how my style sheet interacts with respects to the master page and content page. I can get HTML tags like body and the style sheet to react. But when I call the ID attribute of a label no styling takes place. What am I missing here as far as interaction? Is there any special jsp/servlets library to transfer data from a servlet to ajax application ? How can I parse this data in callbackFunction ?

  • Servlet receiving data both in ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8. How to URL-decode?

    I've a web application (well, in fact is just a servlet) which receives data from 3 different sources: Source A is a HTML document written in UTF-8, and sends the data via <form method="get">. Source B is written in ISO-8859-1, and sends the data via <form method="get">, too. Source C is written in ISO-8859-1, and sends the data via <a href="http://my-servlet-url?param=value&param2=value2&etc">. The servlet receives the request params and URL-decodes them using UTF-8. As you can expect, A works without problems, while B and C fail (you can't URL-decode in UTF-8 something that's encoded in ISO-8859-1...). I can make slight modifications to B and C, but I am not allowed to change them from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8, which would solve all the problems. In B, I've been able to solve the problem by adding accept-charset="UTF-8" to the <form>. So the <form> sends the data in UTF-8 even with the page being ISO. What can I do to fix C? Alternatively, is there any way to determine the charset on the servlet, so I can call URL-decode with the right encoding in each case?
