    I am building a framework that manage the access to the database. the framework getting tasks from the user and handle a connection pooling that manage the access to the database. the user just send me SQL commands. One of the feature that i would like to support is working with JPA, in this case i will provide entity manager. in some cases i would like to provide JDBC access as well as JPA access. the arguments for the database are written in XML file. so for JPA i need to write the property in persistence.xml so it will be not so smart to write again the same arguments for JDBC. do you know if i can get the arguments of the database from persistence.xml, do you know if there is a source code that do it. or should i parse persistence.xml by myself?

  • How can I pass Arguments to a C++ program started by the Registry?

    Hello, I'm creating a Win32 program that will be executed every time the computer turns on. I manage to do this by adding the .exe path into the registry. The problem is; I want to make the program appear minimized in the system tray when the computer is turned on but if I double click it [after the computer turns on and the program is not currently running] the program should appear on its normal [maximized] size. Question, I was thinking on whether is was possible to pass an argument to the program when the program is executed from the registry. Is this possible? If yes/no, how would I manage to do this? (Using windows XP) Thanks.

However when I visit this site through apache, I get an import error with urls. In my settings.py file I have a line, ROOT_URLCONF = 'twingle.urls' I'm assuming this is the cause of the error. The project folder contains only 4 files: __init__.py manage.py settings.py urls.py I tried replacing twingle.urls with urls.py but then it gave me a different error. What is it I can do to get this working?

    I am a little bit puzzled about something. I am creating a ASP.NET MVC eCommerce application and currently I have written all the back end in ASP.NET MVC. I was thinking if its better to write all the management in WPF instead of HTML, as its probably even less prone to be exploited by hackers. I am a Windows user so I am not really bothered about using Linux/Mac at the moment so I am quite aware that having all the back-end written in HTML will allow users to have access to the admin area using other OS. I would like to see what are the advantages and disadvantages of having WPF to manage the content of the website as its probably much easier to develop and manage (think about Live Writer).

  • Django: Change models without clearing all data?

    I have some models I'm working with in a new Django installation. Is it possible to change the fields without losing app data? I tried changing the field and running python manage.py syncdb. There was no output from this command. Renavigating to admin pages for editing the changed models caused TemplateSyntaxErrors as Django sought to display fields that didn't exist in the db. I am using SQLite. I am able to delete the db file, then re-run python manage.py syncdb, but that is kind of a pain. Is there a better way to do it?

    my question is what potential problems or difficulties would be with implementing usual web app with somewhat reach user interface (multiple dynamic tabs, accordians and so on) using jQuery MVC approach with Spring REST vs using Spring MVC. Problems what I can think of could be: I will not be able to use Spring security fully, JavaScript coding could become hard to manage, any form verification becomes not easy to manage... what else? and does jQuery MVC with REST make sense at all? On other side jQuery with MVC and REST move all GUI concerns to JavaScript side (whether it is bad or not) and leave all data manipulation to server side.

About to expand to build new community site (to migrate our member base to) where the users will be able to msg each other, post to forums, blog, share private group discussions, and members will be sent inivitations to earn compensation for their expertise. Profile pages, job postings, and video chat would be plus. Already have a team of admins savvy with web apps to help manage it but our developer resources are limited (3-4 programmers) and looking to save time in development as opposed to building our new site from scratch.

Goal here is to handle CName pointing. So if it's not my app domain (mediasprk.com), then handle it by sending it to u.php.     I am developing a website that will manage data for multiple entities. No data is shared between entities, but they may be owned by the same customer. A customer may want to manage all their entities from a single "dashboard". So should I have one database for everything, or keep the data seperated into individual databases? Is there a best-practice? What are the positives/negatives for having a: database for the entire site (entity has a "customerID", data has "entityID") database for each customer (data has "entityID") database for each entity (relation of database to customer is outside of database) Multiple databases seems like it would have better performance (fewer rows and joins) but may eventually become a maintenance nightmare.

    Hello, I'm trying to access my Django server from another computer on the same network. I've set up my server and can view everything correctly usingpython manage.py runserver and going to http://127.0.0.1:8000 but when I try to use python manage.py runserver 0.0.0.0:80, I can't view my Django page from another computer. The computer hosting the Django server has intranet IP 192.168.1.146. On my secondary computer, I fire up a browser and try to access http://192.168.1.146:80 to no avail. I've also forwarded port 80 (and I've tried 8000 as well) also to no avail :(. HELP!

    Since we rebuilt our servers to windows servers 2008 x64 r2 we have perpetual problems with scheduled backup (shadow copy). In the Application event log, the following events are logged on both nodes: The description for Event ID 4112 from source TsmVssPlugin cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: VSS processing encountered error 'VSS_E_UNEXPECTED_PROVIDER_ERROR' in the Volume Shadow Copy API 'AddToSnapshotSet'. For more information, see the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager client error log. Re installing TSM didn't change anything and still logging same events. TSM Error log file shows following: ANS1327W The snapshot operation for 'C:' failed with error code: -1. ANS5250E An unexpected error was encountered. However, I get this error in Windows Event Log: The backup operation that started at '?2010?-?04?-?30T01:51:15.601000000Z' has failed because the Volume Shadow Copy Service operation to create a shadow copy of the volumes being backed up failed with following error code '2155348129'. Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved. Code: 521. The error in backupassist is: The backup operation stopped before completing. Detailed error: ERROR - A Volume Shadow Copy Service operation error has occurred: (0x80042336) The writer experienced a partial failure. Check the component level error state for more information.   • Internet Explorer 8 crashes on Citrix, Windows 2003

    Difficult to decide where this Q fits best. It's server-related and programming-related. But it's a user-problem so I'll put it here, first... I work on a (Delphi) application that uses an Internet Explorer component to show information to the user. It's not a web application, just a desktop application which creates HTML pages to display them within a browser component. Some of the information on these webpages are retrieved from a web server, while other information is provided "live" by the application itself. It works quite well, but it adds an IE-process (child process) next to my application. And this IE process seems to eat a lot of system resources. For normal users, this is not a real problem, so it's not an issue that I want to fix in the code. But one customer of this application uses it with about 100 users on a Citrix/Windows 2003 environment and they complain about problems with the application. IE8 tends to crash, not show, hang or cause other mayhap. Then again, I've warned them that -officially- I won't support any Citrix environment. But I'm willing to help them to find a solution to fix this, and if need be I could make minor changes to my code to help fix this issie. (If possible.) But basically, I need a solution that any user/administrator on this Citrix environment can follow/use. Any ideas on how to resolve this resource problem?

The only differences are that I'm running PIX 6.3(5) and Juniper Netscreen 6.1.0r2.0 (Firewall+VPN). I followed both configurations exactly, and when I try to connect, the Juniper returns with: 2010-02-21 12:54:28 information IKE: Removed Phase 2 SAs after receiving a notification message. 2010-02-21 12:54:28 information IKE pix_public_IP: Received a notification message for DOI 1 14 NO-PROPOSAL-CHOSEN. 2010-02-21 12:54:28 information IKE pix_public_IP Phase 2: Initiated negotiations. On the Netscreen, I've created a Phase 2 Proposal called ToCorpOffice using DH Group#2, 3DES-CBC, and SHA-1, and when configuring the AutoKey IKE, I chose ToCorpOffice and removed all other transforms. At the moment I'm getting the following error when setting up a receive location or send port: The adapter "MQSC" raised an error message. Details "The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) A dependency could not be found. I have installed the IBM WebSphere Client v6.0 installed but was unable to find the "IBM fix pack 6.0.1.1" for the WebSphere CLIENT as some people have suggested. I have found this post (http://www.biztalkgurus.com/forums/p/3719/7212.aspx) which seems to shed some light on this issue, but I am unable to find the fix-pack that they speak of or resolve the problem Is anybody able to provide any further information?     I set up BACS (Broadcom Teaming) to team two NIC on a Windows 2003 Active Directory Domain Controller. Networking still works okay, I can ping the gateway etc, but both DNS and Active Directory fail to start with various 40xx errors. The team that I created is Smart load Balancing with Failover, with one backup and only one in smart load balancing (So really it is just failover). I have the team the same IP address that the single active NIC had before. Anyone seen this before, or have any ideas what the problem might be?     My problem is exactly this same as described here: Server 2008 R2 - Unable to install any printer drivers Options - google groups I have few Windows 2008 R2 (no SP1) servers in remote offices, mostly in Domain Controller, and many of them have problems installing ANY printer drivers. following errors show up in Event Log when adding printer driver under Print and Document Services/Print Management/Print Services/ /Drivers OR trying any other way to install drivers: EventID 215: Installing printer driver - failed, error code 0x57, HRESULT 0x80070057. See the event user data for context information. EventID 215: Installing printer driver Canon iR C2380/2550 PCL6 failed, error code 0x0, HRESULT 0x80070057. See the event user data for context information. EventID 215: Installing printer driver Canon iR C2380/2550 PCL6 failed, error code 0x490, HRESULT 0x80070057. See the event user data for context information. in this particular server case this is problem with Canon iRC 2380i printer with Canon Generic PCL6 Driver, but it seems to apply to any driver and any printer (tried different drivers, different versions, PCL, postscript, etc) I'm using 64 bit drivers that should be working on this platform.   • "No more threads can be created in the system" in Network and Sharing Center

    A while back I noticed on one of our laboratory computers (Windows 7, very little extra software installed) that the network connection icon in the system tray would claim that it had no network connection, even though it did. This issue would go away after the computer was rebooted, but would surface again the next time I looked at the computer (a few days later). Upon opening the Network and Sharing Center I am shown an actual error message, but not one that seems to give me a lot of information about what the problem is. In the place of the usual information about network adapters and whether you are connected to the Internet it simply says: "No more threads can be created in the system." The Event Viewer shows hundreds of events from different services also with the same message. "Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine CoCreateInstance. hr = 0x800700a4, No more threads can be created in the system."; "The WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service service failed to start due to the following error: A thread could not be created for the service."; "The IP Helper service terminated with the following error: No more threads can be created in the system." As far as I can tell, this message seems to mean that there is some sort of resource leak in Windows where something is creating a large number of threads and those threads are not being killed off? I've tried restarting WMI and several services related to networking, without avail. Can anyone provide more information on what "No more threads can be created in the system" might mean and what I might be able to do to fix the issue? Currently the only solution appears to be restarting.

  • Multiple Users use Script to Access Remote Server via Passwordless SSH

    I am currently setting up a linux box that is tied into Active Directory. This box will allow users to SSH into it with their AD username and password to gather information (Box A). The issue is I am trying to create a function in /etc/bash.bashrc so the users has to do is type "get_info" for example, the function will SSH into a remote machine (Box B) run a command and output the information back to the user. The issue with this is, I have generated a rsa key on Box A, added it to the Box B authorized_keys and it works fine. The issue I am running into is, how do I set this up one time for the current users and any new user who logs into Box A. Is there a better approach than what I am currently doing. Essentially I just need to connect to the remote box, run a command, output the information back to the user and that is it. How can I allow new users to connect via a script to the remote box without having to generate RSA keys for them. The get_info fuction will be supplied a value 'get_info 012345' and returns the results.
