• Intersection between sets containing different types of variables

  Let's assume we have two collections: List<double> values List<SomePoint> points where SomePoint is a type containing three coordinates of the point: SomePoint { double X; double Y; double Z; } Now, I would like to perform the intersection between these two collections to find out for which points in points the z coordinate is eqal to one of the elements of values I created something like that: HashSet<double> hash = new HashSet<double>(points.Select(p=>p.Z)); hash.IntersectWith(values); var result = new List<SomePoints>(); foreach(var h in hash) result.Add(points.Find(p => p.Z == h)); But it won't return these points for which there is the same Z value, but different X and Y. Is there any better way to do it?

  Hi, I have a list of lists as below: List<List <T> > userList Class T { string uniqueidentifier, string param2, int param2} I have a uniqueidentifier and i need to find the element T in the list that has the same 'uniqueidentifier' value. I can do it using two 'foreach' loops. This does not seem to be nice way doing things. I guess there should be some inbuilt method like 'Find' that does the same thing and is highly optimized.

• PHP Zip Archive sporadically creating multiple files

  I have a PHP script (running PHP 5.2 on Apache 2.2) that creates a zip archive of files for a user to download. Everything seems to work just fine; the only issue I have is that periodically multiple files will be created before the ZIP archive is successfully finished. Example: archive-name.zip archive-name.zip.a09600 archive-name.zip.b09600 archive-name.zip.c09600 This does not happen every single time; only periodically - the file is still created but sometimes these extra 'files' are left on the server after it finishes. All instances of MyUserControl are contained in a List and I access them with a foreach. string temp = userControl.InputValue; This is always null. In my MainWindow.xaml I can see the "My Input" in the text box of the user control but I can't ever seem to get it out of there.

  How do I mark a method as "returns an instance of the current class" in my phpDoc? In the following example my IDE (Netbeans) will see that setSomething always returns a foo object. But that's not true if I extent the object - it'll return $this, which in the second example is a bar object not a foo object. class foo { protected $_value = null; /** * Set something * * @param string $value the value * @return foo */ public function setSomething($value) { $this->_value = $value; return $this; } } $foo = new foo(); $out = $foo->setSomething(); So fine - setSomething returns a foo - but in the following example, it returns a bar..: class bar extends foo { public function someOtherMethod(){} } $bar = new bar(); $out = $bar->setSomething(); $out->someOtherMethod(); // <-- Here, Netbeans will think $out // is a foo, so doesn't see this other // method in $out's code-completion ... it'd be great to solve this as for me, code completion is a massive speed-boost. Anyone got a clever trick, or even better, a proper way to document this with phpDoc?

I am copying entries from one table to an "archive" table that has all the columns of the original, plus a couple extra ones.   Hi, This is my first post so please be nice. I searched in this forum and googled but I still can not find the answer. This problem has bothered me for more than a day, so please give me some help. Thank you. I need to pass a vector of string to a library function foo(char const *const *const). I can not pass the &Vec[0] since it's a pointer to a string. Therefore, I have an array and pass the c_str() to that array. The following is my code (aNames is the vector of string): const char* aR[aNames.size()]; std::transform(aNames.begin(), aNames.end(), aR, boost::bind(&std::string::c_str, _1)); foo(aR); However, it seems it causes some undefined behavior: If I run the above code, then the function foo throw some warnings about illegal characters ('èI' blablabla) in aR. If I print aR before function foo like this: std::copy(aR, aR+rowNames.size(), std::ostream_iterator<const char*>(std::cout, "\n")); foo(aR); Then, everything is fine. My questions are: Does the conversion causes undefined behavior? If so, why? What is the correct way to pass vector of string to foo(char const *const *const)? Thank you very much for your help!

Meaning in each index in the List a directory. How can i do it ? Tried with Directory and DirectoryInfo but i just got messed up.

• C# compiler fails to recognize a class is implementing an interface

The compiler should be able to infer that List is 'compatible' (sorry for lack of a better word) with IEnumerable, but somehow it doesn't.   In my code behind (c#) I dynamically created some RadioButtonLists with more RadioButtons in each of them. I put all controls to a specific Panel. What I need to know is how to access those controls later as they are not created in .aspx file (with drag and drop from toolbox)? • How do I print array values in a range when values are supplied?

  My php reads in xml and I want to ouput the values within a given range. I have no way of knowing the size of the array or the range. However, I do know where to start; I have a $key that holds my current location. I also know where to stop; I have the word "ENDEVENTS" between each set. I want to get the values from my current position ($key) to my end position ("ENDEVENTS"). for example i may have an array set like this: Array( [0]=1 [1]=apple [2]=straw [3]=bike [4]=ENDEVENTS [5]=15 [6]=hair [7]=shirt [8]=nose [9]=kiwi [10]=ENDEVENTS ) My code knows when I'm on 15 (in this example $key=5). I want to print 6 through 9. I tried using foreach but it's thats causing issues with what I'm trying to produce. Any ideas?

For example, echo out the [message] for each post. Since it only loops once, I cant echo $wallpost['message'] or anything similar. any idea?
