• Assembly 6800 Looping? Testing specific bits in a word.

  Hi all, Trying to help a friend out with a friend out with some assembly code, but I've run into a small problem. I'm trying to work out how I would loop through a 8 bit binary word and check the value of specific bits. I need to check bits 1, 3, 5 & 7 to see if they are 1. i.e. int count = 1; int bitAdd = 0; foreach (var bit in word) { if (count = 1 || count = 3 || count = 5 || count = 7) { bitAdd += 1; } count += 1; } Help is much appreciated.

• efficiently compare two BitArrays of the same length

  How would I do this? I am trying to count when both arrays have the same value of TRUE/1 at the same index. As you can see, my code has multiple bitarrays and is looping through each one and comparing them with a comparisonArray with another loop. It doesn't seem to be very efficient and I need it to be. foreach (bitArrayTuple in bitarryList) { for (int i = 0; i < arrayLength; i++) if (bArrayTuple.Item2[i] && comparisonArray[i]) bitArrayTuple.Item1++; } where Item1 is the count and Item2 is a bitarray.

  I tried the validation example code for web api on the latest mvc 4 download and I'm getting some errors. Does anyone have an updated example of the ValidationActionFilter class.   I have a list which can contain multiple occurrences of the same object. Now I need to count, how often the given object is contained in this list. int count = 0; foreach (IMyObject item in myList) if (item == object2Count) count++; I am sure that this can be done nicer with LINQ, but LINQ is still a mystery to me. My first question is: How would I count the objects via LINQ and the second question: Will this LINQ version be slower or faster? All instances of MyUserControl are contained in a List and I access them with a foreach. string temp = userControl.InputValue; This is always null. In my MainWindow.xaml I can see the "My Input" in the text box of the user control but I can't ever seem to get it out of there.

  I'd like for all of my objects to be able to return a JSON string of themselves. So I created a base class for all of my objects to extend, with an AsJSON() method: class BaseObject { public function AsJSON() { $JSON=array(); foreach ($this as $key = $value) { if(is_null($value)) continue; $JSON[$key] = $value; } return json_encode($JSON); } } And then extend my child classes from that: class Package extends BaseObject { ... } So in my code, I expect to do this: $Box = new Package; $Box-SetID('123'); $Box-SetName('12x8x6'); $Box-SetBoxX('12'); $Box-SetBoxY('8'); $Box-SetBoxZ('6'); echo $Box-AsJSON(); But the JSON string it returns only contains the BaseClass's properties, not the child properties. How do I modify my AsJSON() function so that $this refers to the child's properties, not the parent's?

• Return result of block passed to #scan during regex

  I've searched and not been able to find the right way of doing what I'm trying to. I read a file line by line and want to create a new object from a regex on each line. I'm not using an XML parser because the data is not well formed and listed below is all I need to get from each line. I can't seem to get scan to return the result of the block. It just returns the original string.   Using MVVM and EF...I have a datagrid binding to a View Model (using ObservableCollection). The view model has a save command which simply calls the SaveChanges command of the Data Context. However, when a user adds a new row to the datagrid, the new entity is detached. Is there any easy way to automatically attach it when it gets created. Is there any way to automate this? I mean the PHP code should be able to anticipate the parameters and generate the mysql_real_escape_string($sales-NEW1) to NEW10 values using a loop.

  I'd like to expose a property on a view model that contains a list of objects (from database). I need this collection to be read-only. That is, I want to prevent Add/Remove, etc. But allow the foreach and indexers to work. My intent is to declare a private field holding the editable collection and reference it with a read-only Public Property. As follows public ObservableCollection<foo> CollectionOfFoo { get { return _CollectionOfFoo; } } However, that syntax just prevents changing the reference to the collection. It doesn't prevent add/remove, etc. What is the right way to accomplish this?
