• SVN Merge Question

  Suppose that I have two massive folders in SVN: test and prod. I'm trying to use the following svn command to merge the content from test into prod: svn merge ./prod@HEAD ./test@HEAD ./prod However, my SVN repository is huge and this process takes an enormous amount of time. Is there any way that I can make a simpler merge statement which will be more processor friendly? Perhaps a server-URL based merge? Any insight is appreciated....

  I have a mailing list application that sends emails through several dedicated SMTP servers (running Linux Debian 5 and Postfix) in the same network of a hosting company. However, the application is using the servers' external IP addresses in order to connect to them over SMTP, and I was wondering what kind of improvement would be obtained if the application used the internal IP addresses of the servers instead? • ASP.NET Master Page + pageLoad() = kills jquery?

  In my MasterPage, I have a ScriptManager that has a ScriptReference to my jquery.js file. This has always worked with no problems, all content pages that utilize jquery work fine. Recently, I added the following javascript script block at the end of my MasterPage: function pageLoad(sender, args) { } By simply adding the above pageLoad method, no jquery code is executed from any of my content pages. Why would just having a pageLoad in the Master Page have this effect? Thanks in advance for any insight.

  I've got a WinForms project that I've had for quite some time, and now suddenly, I can't open the designer anymore and when I try to open the designer I get an error that says could not find type 'System.Collections.Generic.List' All of the code builds just fine, but I can't use the designer anymore, and I don't know what happened, nor do I have any idea where to look to solve the problem. PNG_NO_FILTER PNG_FILTER_NONE PNG_FILTER_SUB PNG_FILTER_UP PNG_FILTER_AVG PNG_FILTER_PAETH PNG_ALL_FILTERS The documentation simply says, "A special PNG filter, used by the imagepng() function" for each of them. It seems that using PNG_NO_FILTER will reduce the filesize of the output, but other than that, I am unsure as to how it is affected. Any insight would be really appreciated.

  Hi I am currently needing to load the contents of a folders filenames to an arraylist I have but I am unsure as how to do this. To put it into perspective I have a folder with One.txt, Two.txt, Three.txt etc. I want to be able to load this list into an arraylist so that if I was to check the arraylist its contents would be : arraylist[0] = One arraylist[1] = Two arraylist[3] = Three If anyone could give me any insight into this it would be much appreciated.

  I'm looking for a way to implement a bracket style border around my <h2> headings; I've attached an image showing exactly what I'm trying to accomplish. The only way I can think of to achieve this effect is by using images, but I'm unsure of exactly how to do so(all of my <h2>s are of varying length/height, or if maybe there is a better way.   A friend of mine came to me with this strange behavior which i can't explain, any insight view would be appreciated. Im running VS 2005 (C# 2.0), the following code show the behavior int rr = "test".IndexOf(""); Console.WriteLine(rr.ToString()); the above code, print "0" which clearly show it should have return -1 This also happen in Java where the following Class show the behavior: public class Test{ public static void main(String[] args){ System.out.println("Result->"+("test".indexOf(""))); } } Im running Java 1.6.0_17

  Long and short of the story is, whilst reading John Resig's blog (specifically http://ejohn.org/blog/javascript-trie-performance-analysis/) I came across a line which makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. Essentially it boils down to object = object[key] = something; (this can be found in the first code block of the article I've linked.) • Can I update an Android provider.Settings.System value?

  I can read settings like this, for example: final String mytest = System.getString(this.getContentResolver(), System.AIRPLANE_MODE_ON); ...but can't seem to write to settings using putString, no matter what I've tried. Maybe it is the scope of this.getContentResolver()??? I'm a newbie, so who knows, maybe it can't be done, or it's just syntax? Currently the code is in the onCreate of an Activity class.   If I'm looking to sell my app in other markets other than the U.S. on both Android and iOS, do I need to do anything inside the app coding-wise? I don't imagine that I need to but I just want to make sure. Also, while I'm at it, how do I collect on international app purchases considering they are in another currency? Will the currency be automatically converted to U.S. dollars or is that my job? Any insight on either of these questions would be greatly appreciated.
