    Hello, I did tons of methods to figure out how to make this mod rewrite but i was completly unsuccessful. I want a .htaccess code that rewrite in the following method: http://www.mydomain.com/apple/upcoming/2 --- http://www.mydomain.com/handler.php?topic=apple&orderby=upcoming&page=2 This is easy to do, but the problem is that all parameters are not required so the link has different levels of parameters each time like this: http://www.mydomain.com/apple/popular/2 -- topic=apple&orderby=popular&page=2 http://www.mydomain.com/apple/2 -- topic=apple&orderby=&page=2 http://www.mydomain.com/all/popular/2 -- topic=all&orderby=popular&page=2 http://www.mydomain.com/apple/upcoming/ -- topic=apple&orderby=upcoming&page= So briefly, the url has 3 optional parameters in one static order: (topic) (orderby) (page) Note: the ORDERBY parameter can be "popular" or "upcoming" or nothing.   • Problem with anchor tags in Django after using lighttpd + fastcgi

    I just started using lighttpd and fastcgi for my django site, but I've noticed my anchor links are no longer working. I used the anchor links for sorting links on the page, for example I use an anchor to sort links by the number of points (or votes) they have received. For example: the code in the html template: ... {% load sorting_tags %} ... {% ifequal sort_order "points" %} {% trans "total points" %} {% trans "or" %} {% anchor "date" "date posted" %} {% order_by_votes links request.direction %} {% else %} {% anchor "points" "total points" %} {% trans "or" %} {% trans "date posted" %} ... The anchor link on "www.mysite.com/my_app/" for total points will be directed to "my_app/?sort=points" But the correct URL should be "www.mysite.com/my_app/?sort=points" All my other links work, the problem is specific to anchor links. The {% anchor %} tag is taken from django-sorting, the code can be found at http://github.com/directeur/django-sorting Specifically in django-sorting/templatetags/sorting_tags.py Thanks in advance.

  • Math Looping Between Min and Max Using Mod?

    i'm attempting to build a tiny (or perhaps not so tiny) formula that will contain numbers between a set min and max, but also loop these numbers so they are not clipped if they are outside of the range. so far, this is what i have. min1 = 10 max1 = 90 val1 = 92 //will make 12, which is what i want since it loops formula: min(max(min1,min(val1,max1)),mod(val1,max1)+min1) however, i'd like it to loop the other direction also, so that if val1 is 5, which is -5 outside of min1, it will become 85. another problem i'm running into is that max1 % max1 != max1 as i want it to, since the max is part of the range trying to be clear, here are some examples of desired output based on a range with looping min1 = 10 max1 = 90 ---------------------------------------------- val1 = 30 //within range: stays as 30 val1 = 90 //within range: stays as 90 val1 = -6 //below range: loops to becomes 84 val1 = 98 //above range: loops to becomes 18 i'd like not to resort to using a series of if/else statements, but one would be fine if it's absolutely required. is that even possible?

  • Apache2 on Ubuntu Server w/ CGI, FastCGI, mod_php

    I've looked at various websites on configuring Apache with cgi and can't get mod_fcgid to work. It works fine using mod_php5, but I wanted to compare performance using cgi and fastcgi. I tried methods using FGCIWrapper among various other techniques and the only one that didn't result in an unlogged 403 or download of the file was using "Action application/x-httpd-php /usr/bin/php-cgi" When trying to configure mod_fcgid the file normally just started a download of an unprocessed file. I used wget to check headers and type was "application/x-httpd-php" At one point I was able to get to the page, but it resulted in a 403, which was listed in access.log, but not error.log (I was told it should be in there too) I tried to get it working on a fresh install of Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS and 10.10 and had the same results on both, so I'm not doing something correctly in terms of configuration. I tried virtualmin and could only get mod_php to work. The page just prompted a download when selecting cgi or fcgi from the control panel.

    I just upgrade the PHP version in my VPS to 5.3.2 I used FastCGI and worker MPM in php 5.1.2 or 5.2.1 I forgot, it worked fine, and it was so fast, I like it. After I upgrade the PHP version, it gives me Internal Server Error 500 on all .php pages. What is wrong? does FCGI support php 5.3.2? If yes, there should be some differences in setting it up? what should I change to get it back working? Thank You

  • error_log php.ini setting has no effect on IIS 7/FastCGI/Win7/PHP5.3.2

    I have a very strange problem with PHP 5.3.2 running on IIS 7 on a fresh Windows 7 installation. Changing the error_log configuration options in the php.ini does not seem to have any effect. I cannot change the option to point to anything other than the default location. Here is a portion of my php.ini file and the output from phpinfo() before and after changing some configuration options. Everything else seems to have taken effect except the error_log option. I have noticed that the fastcgi.logging option also appears to be stuck. A previous setup with PHP 5.3.2 on Win XP and IIS 5.5 exhibited no problems.     I have deployed the Bitnami Ubuntu Joomla! 3.1.5-2 (64-bit) stack on Amazon Cloud: http://bitnami.com/stack/joomla/cloud/amazon By default, the stack is configured to run PHP using PHP-FPM. I have no problem getting the Joomla and phpmyadmin running as virtual hosts on Apache. But now, I would like to add another virtual host.     I have a CentOS 5.4 server with Apache 2.2.3, mod_fastcgi and PHP 5.2.11. Everything is working great, server is a production server and I've had no complaints.   • Munin 2 data not showing up on graph

    I have a fresh installation of Munin 2.0.1 on my Ubuntu 12.04 and the first time I tried to view graphs, it showed them properly(After installation, I had to follow http://munin-monitoring.org/wiki/CgiHowto2 to set it up) After that, the graphs show up, but with with just one data point(single vertical line) as if no data is being collected after I tried it for the first time. In Munin 1.4, there was munin-cron which was run every 5 minutes and I saw new data being plotted in the graph atleast every 5 minutes. But If there is no cron job in v2, How does data collection work with Munin2 ? Is the data collected when the graphs are requested ? The file timestamps in /var/lib/munin have not changed after the first time I tried the graphs. But i do see munin-node process running(restarted in several times). I also see no errors in the munin node log files or apache2 log files. Any idea what could be wrong ?   • Alias using Nginx causing phpMyAdmin login endless loop

    Recently I've been trying to set up a web server using Nginx (I normally use Apache). However I've ran into a problem trying to set phpMyAdmin up on an alias. The alias correctly takes you too the phpMyAdmin login screen, however when you enter valid credentials and hit go you end up back on the login screen with no errors. Sounded like a cookie or session problem to me... but if I symlink the phpMyAdmin directory and try logging in through the symlinked version it works fine! Both the symlink and the alias one set the same number of cookies and both set seem to set the cookies for the correct domain and path. My Nginx config for the php alias is as follows: location ~ ^/phpmyadmin/(.*\.php)$ { alias /usr/share/phpMyAdmin/$1; fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; include fastcgi_params; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $request_filename; } I'm running Nginx 0.8.53 PHP 5.3.3 MySQL 5.1.47 phpMyAdmin 3.3.9 - self install And php-mcrypt is installed. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour before? Anyone have any ideas about how to fix it?

    I have Lighttpd on Centos 5 with Fcgi and Memcached. Periodically, once per week or two i get internal server error 500 and i must manually restart lighttpd to get it to work again. In my lighttpd config I've defined error log file: server.errorlog = "/home/lxadmin/httpd/lighttpd/error.log" But when I open it, it has no rows for last days, only one month ago. So my question is how to diagnose what is the issue and how to enable error log for my configuration?

    Problem I recently migrated a Drupal site from a shared hosting server to my own VM. Everything appears to work correctly, except clean urls. My VM Setup Ubuntu 10.04 LAMP ISPConfig 3 What I've tried From reading up on a number of drupal forums I've tried the following in this order Check that mod_rewrite is installed and enabled Changed PHP from FastCGI to Mod_PHP (prefer to use FastCGI or suPHP though to avoid having tmp/files folders with 777 permissions) Changed the Redirect type to L in ISPConfig Sites-domain.com-Redirect Changed /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default <Directory /var/www/> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride All ... </Directory> Not sure about points 3 and 4, I do want all domains to be able to use mod_rewrite out of the box. Question Have I done something wrong or am I missing a step? Ultimately I would like to use FastCGI and clean urls working on all ISPConfig 3 domains without having to make any changes to individual domain settings. Any ideas appreciated, I'll try them all.

    How can gzip be turned off for a particular location and all its sub-directories? My main site is at http://mydomain.com and I want to turn gzip off for both http://mydomain.com/foo and http://mydomain.com/foo/bar. gzip is turned on in nginx.conf. I tried turning off gzip as shown below, but the Response Headers in Chrome's dev tools shows that Content-Encoding:gzip. How should gzip/output buffering be disabled properly?     So I'm setting up a shared hosting with Apache, PHP, MySQL and the biggest question mark is how to do with PHP, since there is a million options out there how to configure it securely. The plan is: Chroot for MySQL (built in support for chroot) Chroot for Apache (mod_security) Each user executing their PHP-scripts as their own user (see below) Set open_basedir Disable all "evil" php-functions (allow_url_fopen, system, exec, and so on) Ive looked at suexec and suphp but they seems very slow; http://blog.stuartherbert.com/php/2007/12/18/using-suexec-to-secure-a-shared-server/ http://blog.stuartherbert.com/php/2008/01/18/using-suphp-to-secure-a-shared-server/ So I've looked some more and found some other solutions: apache2-mpm-itk + mod_php(?) mod_fcgid + php-fpm mod_fastcgi + php-fpm Ive tried a simple setup with mod_fastcgi + php-fpm and it seems to work, runs as correct user and so on, but the protection against directory traveling is still open_basedir(?) One solution for that could be to use php-fpm's chroot option, but that causes a lot of other issues like domain name resolver does not work sending mail does not work Tips?

  • What do I need to Mod a Unreal Engine 3 game?

    what I am looking for is some advise making a mod for a certain game and how I would go about making it. The game I am talking about is Blacklight: Retribution and what I wan't to know is; Is it possible? And if so, what programs will I need? It is an online only game so I was unsure how plausible a mod would be for it. Plus I have never made a video game before, but I do like the game and I wanted to do some things with it. Additionally, this will be my first time making anything video game related so I would appreciate any advise. To expand a bit, I plan to add something simple at first. A mod that would let you spectate another player in the first person. Then I plan do something a bit more complex where I want to make so the game optionally always records you playing (in short intervals most likely or you would run quickly out of memory). After all that is done I would add items, armor, weapons, and maybe make a map or not I am not sure but this in a shell what I hope to do. I don't know much about these things but I am reading anything I can get my hands on. So if this is overly ambitious or just plain out not a possibility any advise on what I should look to instead will be welcomed warmly. Thank you.

    I've seen a lot of tutorials showing one how to set up PHP/Python/Perl/RoR on nginx via various FCGI processes. None of the tutorials that I found show one how to serve multiple FCGI services off one server. How would one configure the stable nginx (nginx-0.7.64) to serve multiple FCGI processes (one for each of the above languages)? Example addresses for each FCGI process are as follows: 127.0.0.1:8080 - PHP 127.0.0.1:8081 - Python 127.0.0.1:8082 - Perl 127.0.0.1:8083 - Ruby on Rails An example configuration file that shows one how to implement multiple FCGI's off one server is really what I need. Perhaps others will benefit as well.

  • lighttpd not reliable

    Hi there, I have a lighttpd running which serves a django-based webservice. It was running well for some months, but from today on, it returns a 410 sometimes, and sometimes fails silently. To test, I make a curl-call, which most time runs fine; it returns some json test-data. Some times. however, it does not return any data, but the call seems to have run well, since I don't get an error code. When I post to my webservice via third-party-packaged like boto, I sometimes get a "410 gone" - but I do not find any entry in the lighttpd error log. Any ideas what the problem could be or how to avoid this? Thanks a lot
