  • test="" on a boolean always returns true

    - by user70448
    Why does <xsl:if test="<XPATH to boolean value here>"> ... </xsl:if> ALWAYS return true? Since boolean can be 0,1,"false" and "true" by definition, the ONLY way to test for a boolean value is to do string comparison against these. This can't be right.

  • Replace always replacing null values

    - by Mike
    Why does left(FIELD, replace(nullif(charindex('-', FIELD), 0), null, len(FIELD))) always return null? The idea behind the query is that if charindex() returns 0, then convert the results into null, then convert the null into the length of the field. So if '-' does not exist, show the whole string. For some reason it makes every row equal null. Thank you.

I just paste some code that made problem if you want see all code please tell me. After I debug the code, I found that if I set max thread to any and then the first thread always stuck in this loop. That bis.read(....) always return 0. Although, server had close stream and it not get out of the loop. I don't know why ... But another threads are work correctly. do { bytesRead = bis.read(byteArr, current, (byteArr.length-current)); if(bytesRead >= 0) current += bytesRead; } while(bytesRead != -1);

  • AuthSub token from Google/YouTube API is always returned as invalid

    - by Miriam Raphael Roberts
    Anyone out there have experience with the YouTube/Google API? I am trying to login to Google/Youtube using clientLogin, retrieve an AuthSub token, exchange it for a multi-session token and then use it in our upload form. Just a note that we are not going to have other users logging into our (secure) website, this is for our use only (no multi-users). We just want a way to upload videos to our YT account via our own website without having to login/upload to YouTube. Ultimately, everything is dependent on the first step. My AuthSub token is always being returned as invalid (Error '403'). All the steps I used are below with username/password changed. Anyone have an insight on why my AuthSub is always invalid? I am spending an enormous amount of time trying to get this to work. • WCF Stream.Read always returns 0 in client

    - by G_M
    I've spent most of my day trying to figure out why this isn't working. I have a WCF service that streams an object to the client. The client is then supposed to write the file to its disk. But when I call stream.Read(buffer, 0, bufferLength) it always returns 0. Here's my code: namespace StreamServiceNS { [ServiceContract] public interface IStreamService { [OperationContract] Stream downloadStreamFile(); } } class StreamService : IStreamService { public Stream downloadStreamFile() { ISSSteamFile sFile = getStreamFile(); BinaryFormatter bf = new BinaryFormatter(); MemoryStream stream = new MemoryStream(); bf.Serialize(stream, sFile); return stream; } } Service config file: <system.serviceModel> <services> <service name="StreamServiceNS.StreamService"> <endpoint address="stream" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="BasicHttpBinding_IStreamService" name="BasicHttpEndpoint_IStreamService" contract="SWUpdaterService.ISWUService" /> </service> </services> <bindings> <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="BasicHttpBinding_IStreamService" transferMode="StreamedResponse" maxReceivedMessageSize="209715200"></binding> </basicHttpBinding> </bindings> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior> <serviceThrottling maxConcurrentCalls ="100" maxConcurrentSessions="400"/> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> <serviceHostingEnvironment multipleSiteBindingsEnabled="true" /> </system.serviceModel> Client: TestApp.StreamServiceRef.StreamServiceClient client = new StreamServiceRef.StreamServiceClient(); try { Stream stream = client.downloadStreamFile(); int bufferLength = 8 * 1024; byte[] buffer = new byte[bufferLength]; FileStream fs = new FileStream(@"C:\test\testFile.exe", FileMode.Create, FileAccess.Write); int bytesRead; while ((bytesRead = stream.Read(buffer, 0, bufferLength)) > 0) { fs.Write(buffer, 0, bytesRead); } stream.Close(); fs.Close(); } catch (Exception e) { Console.WriteLine("Error: " + e.Message); } Client app.config: <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="BasicHttpEndpoint_IStreamService" maxReceivedMessageSize="209715200" transferMode="StreamedResponse"> </binding> </basicHttpBinding> </bindings> <client> <endpoint address="http://[server]/StreamServices/streamservice.svc/stream" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="BasicHttpEndpoint_IStreamService" contract="StreamServiceRef.IStreamService" name="BasicHttpEndpoint_IStreamService" /> </client> </system.serviceModel> (some code clipped for brevity) I've read everything I can find on making WCF streaming services, and my code looks no different than theirs. I can replace the streaming with buffering and send an object that way fine, but when I try to stream, the client always sees the stream as "empty". The testFile.exe gets created, but its size is 0KB. What am I missing?

  • Scala always returning true....WHY?

    - by jhamm
    I am trying to learn Scala and am a newbie. I know that this is not optimal functional code and welcome any advice that anyone can give me, but I want to understand why I keep getting true for this function. def balance(chars: List[Char]): Boolean = { val newList = chars.filter(x => x.equals('(') || x.equals(')')); return countParams(newList, 0) } def countParams(xs: List[Char], y: Int): Boolean = { println(y + " right Here") if (y < 0) { println(y + " Here") return false } else { println(y + " Greater than 0") if (xs.size > 0) { println(xs.size + " this is the size") xs match { case xs if (xs.head.equals('(')) => countParams(xs.tail, y + 1) case xs if (xs.head.equals(')')) => countParams(xs.tail, y - 1) case xs => 0 } } } return true; } balance("()())))".toList) I know that I am hitting the false branch of my if statement, but it still returns true at the end of my function. Please help me understand. Thanks.

  • Edges on polygon outlines not always correct

    - by user146780
    I'm using the algorithm below to generate quads which are then rendered to make an outline like this http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/8530/uhohz.png The problem as seen on the image, is that sometimes the lines are too thin when they should always be the same width. My algorithm finds the 4 verticies for the first one then the top 2 verticies of the next ones are the bottom 2 of the previous. This creates connected lines, but it seems to not always work. How could I fix this? This is my algorithm: void OGLENGINEFUNCTIONS::GenerateLinePoly(const std::vector<std::vector<GLdouble>> &input, std::vector<GLfloat> &output, int width) { output.clear(); if(input.size() < 2) { return; } int temp; float dirlen; float perplen; POINTFLOAT start; POINTFLOAT end; POINTFLOAT dir; POINTFLOAT ndir; POINTFLOAT perp; POINTFLOAT nperp; POINTFLOAT perpoffset; POINTFLOAT diroffset; POINTFLOAT p0, p1, p2, p3; for(unsigned int i = 0; i < input.size() - 1; ++i) { start.x = static_cast<float>(input[i][0]); start.y = static_cast<float>(input[i][1]); end.x = static_cast<float>(input[i + 1][0]); end.y = static_cast<float>(input[i + 1][1]); dir.x = end.x - start.x; dir.y = end.y - start.y; dirlen = sqrt((dir.x * dir.x) + (dir.y * dir.y)); ndir.x = static_cast<float>(dir.x * 1.0 / dirlen); ndir.y = static_cast<float>(dir.y * 1.0 / dirlen); perp.x = dir.y; perp.y = -dir.x; perplen = sqrt((perp.x * perp.x) + (perp.y * perp.y)); nperp.x = static_cast<float>(perp.x * 1.0 / perplen); nperp.y = static_cast<float>(perp.y * 1.0 / perplen); perpoffset.x = static_cast<float>(nperp.x * width * 0.5); perpoffset.y = static_cast<float>(nperp.y * width * 0.5); diroffset.x = static_cast<float>(ndir.x * 0 * 0.5); diroffset.y = static_cast<float>(ndir.y * 0 * 0.5); // p0 = start + perpoffset - diroffset //p1 = start - perpoffset - diroffset //p2 = end + perpoffset + diroffset // p3 = end - perpoffset + diroffset p0.x = start.x + perpoffset.x - diroffset.x; p0.y = start.y + perpoffset.y - diroffset.y; p1.x = start.x - perpoffset.x - diroffset.x; p1.y = start.y - perpoffset.y - diroffset.y; if(i > 0) { temp = (8 * (i - 1)); p2.x = output[temp + 2]; p2.y = output[temp + 3]; p3.x = output[temp + 4]; p3.y = output[temp + 5]; } else { p2.x = end.x + perpoffset.x + diroffset.x; p2.y = end.y + perpoffset.y + diroffset.y; p3.x = end.x - perpoffset.x + diroffset.x; p3.y = end.y - perpoffset.y + diroffset.y; } output.push_back(p2.x); output.push_back(p2.y); output.push_back(p0.x); output.push_back(p0.y); output.push_back(p1.x); output.push_back(p1.y); output.push_back(p3.x); output.push_back(p3.y); } } Thanks

  • underline line thickness always one pixel...

    - by Mark
    ...regardless of font size. Its an mx:Text object. (The Text object is actually being used as a mask so don't know if that's the problem.) If underline is set with the <u> tag in Text.htmlText, or Text.textField.setTextFormat, the underline thickness is always just one pixel which is not acceptable. (There are other problems with <u> so I'm limited to using setTextFormat currently.) Can the thickness of an underline be set through CSS? (textField.styleSheet, etc.) I may have another problem as I already use setTextFormat extensively, and the documentation says you can't use textField.setTextFormat if you use textField.setStyleSheet. I primarily need the underline to simulate correctly the look for an anchor tag.

  • Android 2.1 View's getDrawingCache() method always returns null

    - by Impression
    Hello, I'm working with Android 2.1 and have the following problem: Using the method View.getDrawingCache() always returns null. Example code: public void onCreate(final Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); final View view = findViewById(R.id.ImageView01); view.setDrawingCacheEnabled(true); view.buildDrawingCache(); final Bitmap bmp = view.getDrawingCache(); System.out.println(bmp); } I've already tried different ways to configure the View object for generating the drawing cache (e.g. View.setWillNotDraw(boolean) and View.setWillNotCacheDrawing(boolean)), but nothing works. What is the right ways, or what do I wrong?

  • wix: does INSTALLDIR always end in a slash?

    - by Cheeso
    I think the default dir gets a trailing slash. But what if the user selects a different directory? Is there a way for the INSTALLDIR to NOT have a trailing slash? It's not that I want it to not have a trailing slash. I want to know if I can count on it, so that, for example, [INSTALLDIR]Filter.dll ...will always resolve to a real, valid filesystem path. Currently I use [INSTALLDIR]\Filter.dll and I get a double-slash in there. It's valid and resolves, but I'd like to eliminate the double slash. thanks.

  • Android ListView background colors always showing grey.

    - by fiXedd
    I have a ListView that I'm populating from a custom ListAdapter. Inside the Adapter (in the getView(int, View, ViewGroup) method) I'm setting the background color of the View using setBackgroundColor(int). The problem is that no matter what color I set the background to it always comes out a dark grey. It might also be worth noting that I'm using the Light theme. Relevant (simplified) bits of code: AndroidManifest.xml: <activity android:name=".MyActivity" android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Light" /> MyAdapter.java: @Override public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { LayoutInflater inflater = LayoutInflater.from(mContext); View av = inflater.inflate(R.layout.my_row, parent, false); av.setBackgroundColor(R.color.myRow_red); mName = (TextView) av.findViewById(R.id.myRow_name); mName.setText("This is a name"); return av; } Any ideas/suggestions?
