  • Htaccess... first force www than ask for login

    I have an .htaccess file that mainly does 2 things. Force www on the domain and ask for login credentials (with .htpasswd). If I now visit domain.com it will ask for a username and password. When I fill them in I get redirected to www.domain.com and then it asks me to log in again. Is there any way to get the www redirection done before the login? I already tried putting the force www code on the top of the .htaccess file.

    I can't figure out why this statement is not working SELECT myChurches.id AS id, myChurches.church_name AS church_name FROM myChurches INNER JOIN church_staff ON church_staff.church_id=myChurches.id WHERE church_staff.mem_id='$logOptions_id' ORDER BY myChurches.church_name ASC Basically I need to find the person's that are staff members of a church from one table and want to get the 'name' of that church FROM the 'myChurches' table.   • First could access the repository next cannot

    Hi! I have configured svnserve (1.6.5,plain, without apache) on Fedora 12. I could ran the following svn subcommands which access the repository after configuration. Such as, commit, update,checkout, list. But, when next time ( after stopping,ctrl-c and then starting svnserve)I tried above commands, could not access the repository. This is happening both from local and remote machine. I ran svn and svnserve as below. 'svn commit svn://127.0.0.1/myrepository/' from local client. 'svnserve -d --foregorund --listen-port=3690 -r /path-to-repository/mypository/' To understand the problem better, I created another repository and found similar behavior . Frist I could access the repository and next I could not. I tried doing strace on svnserve, but don't uderstand much of it.     Hi, I need to display a thumbnail preview of a folder full of MP4 files. So, is there a Delphi 7 component which extract a thumbnail image from MP4 files (if MP4 does contain a thumbnail image), or is there a Delphi 7 component which can extract the 1st frame from a MP4 file ? I need to extract it so I can save it to a .jpg or .png file (to be used again later on). Any ideas, Thanks.

  • C++ return a "NULL" object if search result not found

    I'm pretty new to C++ so I tend to design with a lot of Java-isms while I'm learning. Anyway, in Java, if I had class with a 'search' method that would return an object T from a Collection< T that matched a specific parameter, I would return that object and if the object was not found in the collection, I would return a NULL. Then in my calling function I would just check if(T != NULL) { ... } In C++, I'm finding out that I can't return a NULL if the object doesn't exist. I just want to return an 'indicator' of type T that notifies the calling function that no object has been found. I don't want to throw an exception because it's not really an exceptional circumstance. class Node { ....   • First programming language: PHP, Ruby, Python?

    I've been a Web developer for over 5 years and am looking to start building more complex Web apps. Currently, I know HTML/CSS/Javascript but I feel it's time to start learning something else. I work with a lot of applications based on PHP. I created a vBulletin forum on my own time and I would definitely want to build off of that since it has gained a bit of popularity. I also work with Wordpress quite often. All of the software I work with tends to be based on PHP but I hear a lot of people say Ruby or Python is better. Since I'm starting out, I really don't care which one I learn but I want to start right. Any recommendations for someone with HTML/CSS/Javascript knowledge but wants to branch out?

The code is a reflection of what I see in my head and how I would like to go about business. Does my code even look ok, or am I way off base?     After learning how to do MySQL Full-Text search, the recommended solution for multiple tables was OR MATCH and then do the other database call. You can see that in my query below. When I do this, it just gets stuck in a "busy" state, and I can't access the MySQL database. What i want to do is, all the info will shows off on the TextBox when the user click the button. The searching node will be based on the pid. Next button will adding 1 value of pid (let's say pid=2) and it will search on the node that have the same value of pid=2. it also will show the name for the pid=2. (showing name=abc) Same goes to the previous button where it will reduce 1value of pid (pid=1). But now I want to sort/group the result by similarity/equality to the keyword such as.   • Full-text search locks up database - error 0x8001010e

    Hi We have a full-text catalog that is populated via a job every 15 minutes like so: ALTER FULLTEXT INDEX ON [dbo].[WorkItemLongTexts] START INCREMENTAL POPULATION We have encountered a problem where the database containing this catalog locks up. There are a couple of scenarios, we either see the job execute and the process hang with with a wait type of UNKNOWN TOKEN, or we see another process hang with a wait type of MSSEARCH. Once this happens the job continues to run but informs us that the request to start a full-text index population is ignored because a population is currently active. Looking in the full text log files we see the following error each time these problems occur: 2010-04-21 08:15:00.76 spid21s The full-text catalog health monitor reported a failure for full-text catalog "XXXFullTextCatalog" (5) in database "YYY" (14). Reason code: 0. Error: 0x8001010e(The application called an interface that was marshalled for a different thread.). The system will restart any in-progress population from the previous checkpoint. If this message occurs frequently, consult SQL Server Books Online for troubleshooting assistance. This is an informational message only. No user action is required."'' The only solution is to restart the SQL Server service and then the full text service. This is now occuring on a daily basis now so any help would be appreciated.

    I've been reading Metaprogramming Ruby and the object model like the chicken or egg dilemma. In Ruby 1.8, the Object class is an instance of Class. Module's superclass is Object and is an instance of Class. Class' superclass is Module, and it is an instance of Class (self-referential). Say class SomeClass; end is defined somewhere; SomeClass is an instance of Class, however its superclass is Object. Why does an instance of Class have Object as the superclass instead of nil? Also, if Object is to exist, then Class has to exist, but then Module has to exist, but for Module to exist Object has to exist. How are these classes created?

  • Searching a 2D array for a range of values in java

    I have a 2^n size int array and I want to check if an element exists that is greater than 0. If the element exists, I want to divide the array by 4 and check if the coordinates of the found element are in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th quadrant of the array. For example, logically if the element exists in the first quadrant it would look something like this: If array[][] 0 && the row of that coordinate is in the range 0-(grid.length/2-1) && the column of that coordinate is in the range 0-(grid.length/2-1) then do something. I'm really not sure how to check the row and column index of the found element and store those coordinates to use in my if statement. Help!

  • [BST] Deletion procedure

    Hi all. Consider the deletion procedure on a BST, when the node to delete has two children. Let's say i always replace it with the node holding the minimum key in its right subtree. The question is: is this procedure commutative? That is, deleting x and then y has the same result than deleting first y and then x? I think the answer is no, but i can't find a counterexample, nor figure out any valid reasoning. Thank you. EDIT: Maybe i've got to be clearer. Consider the transplant(node x, node y) procedure: it replace x with y (and its subtree). So, if i want to delete a node (say x) which has two children i replace it with the node holding the minimum key in its right subtree: y = minimum(x.right) transplant(y, y.right) // extracts the minimum (it doesn't have left child) y.right = x.right y.left = x.left transplant(x,y) The question was how to prove the procedure above is not commutative.
