  I was wondering how could I sync the emails between two accounts? I know I can forward them to one of the email accounts but that is not how I want it. Both emails account should have the same email from the same person and their status such as read/unread status synced.

  i have a rule that says if i am cced on the mail then move to a folder called "CC". If someone sends an email to a distribution list where the distribution list is cced, shouldn't that email also go into the "CC" folder? it doesn't seem to be working

  I want to backup my Outlook email into Gmail. I have setup my Gmail account in Outlook using IMAP like is suggested here - http://www.keenerliving.com/importing-outlook-into-gmail - and I can successfully upload Outlook emails into Gmail, but Exchange mail doesn't copy across the sender and receivers. All Exchange emails in Gmail are listed as sent by (unknown sender). How do you upload Exchange emails into Gmail from Outlook while maintaining the correct From and To email addresses?

• Duplicate mails in unread mail view of Windows Live Mail

  When I get new mail and go to the "unread email" quick view I always see two version of the email, even though I definitely have only one such version in the inbox itself. Further, viewing the message via inbox usually marks only one of these copies as read, or sometimes none at all. I have no custom filters defined that could cause duplication. Any idea what's going on? PS This is the new version (2011).

• Mail Permissions on a File Server Resource Manager Server

  In 2008 server the File resource manager can be set up to alert users when they go over their quota etc. This is all configured however the email notifications are not working. They have been configured but the event log shows that the user does not have permission to send to the exchange server. There isnt an option to chosse who to send the email from. Is there a way to get this to work? Thanks

  I currently have a relatively complicated application that sends emails via a nightly job through an SMTP server on Windows Server 2008. Is there a way to configure IIS/SMTP to send a copy of every email that's relayed to another email address? Essentially, can I add a BCC on the fly through IIS/SMTP configuration? Because of the complexity of the application, we would prefer to change the behavior this way if it's possible as opposed to making code changes to the application.

• Setup automated calling during an ETL failure

  Just started working on a large data warehouse project that runs some large ETLs every night. In the event of an error I receive an email, but I was hoping to somehow create something that will automatically call me, so I don't have to wake up and check my email at 4 every morning to make sure the ETLs finished properly. I know I can setup an SMS pretty easily, but I don't think that will be enough to wake me up :) Anyone have any experience trying to do this before?

However, when I right-click on a file, and select Send to Mail recipient I get a message box saying:There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. • Slash after domain in URL missing for Rails site

  After redirecting users in a Rails app, for some reason the slash after the domain is missing. Generated URLs are invalid and I'm forced to manually correct them. The problem only occurs on a subdomain. On a different primary domain (same server), everything works ok. For example, after logging out, the site is directing to https://www.sub.domain.comlogin/ rather than https://www.sub.domain.com/login I suspect the issue has something to do with the vhost setup, but I'm not sure. Since I envision starting to use a smartphone (Android) based IMAP client which doesn't support folders or message filters I'd like to move these filters server side and take them off the clients.   For an Microsoft Exchange server, is it possible to encrypt the email database such that the sysadmin cannot see the emails? In other words, the admin would be responsible for all aspects of running the Windows server and Exchange process, but would not be able to see the contents of any one email (except those sent to him, obviously). Only another individual (e.g. company owner) would be able to see all emails contained in the database.

• Deleted exchange account still being auto suggested

  I set up a new hire in our domain in exchange. When he arrived yesterday I discovered his name had been mispelled. I deleted his account and created a new account with proper spelling. The problem now is his old email address is being being suggested whenever anyone types in his first name. Users email the bad address get a bounce and create more help desk tickets. Is there a way to update exchange or purge the bad account?

• Is there a way to prevent a message from accidentally being sent?

  I am terrified of accidentally sending a reply before I'm finished editing it. Usually what I do is either: copy the email into word, edit in word, then hit reply-to-all in outlook, paste in my text, and send. hit reply-to-all, delete the recipient names, edit, add the recipient names, and send. Is there a way to 'lock' the email so I can't send it while I'm making edits in Outlook? I hate having to switch between programs just so I can edit.
