Why?

    I wrote a custom assembly to take a parameter value from the report and return a field from the dataset collection. My assembly returns the correct fields!name.value, but it shows me the string representation of it. How can I get it to resolve as the actual fields!name.value to display the actual data in the dataset? If I enter fields!name.value in manually it works fine showing me the value. If I resolve it with my custom code it display "fields!name.value" to me in the cell.

    Hi guys, Ive got an annoying problem, I cant append any text to the text file. Every time I open it for writing, I overwrite the data. I tried to move the file pointer to the end of the file, but no result (no writing to the file at all).   • Problem saving Text file in database using Hibernate

    I'm having a problem saving large text files to MySQL database. If the text file size is around 5KB it successfully saves. If file is 148KB then I get this error from Hibernate: org.hibernate.exception.DataException: Could not execute JDBC batch update These is the SQL shows by Hibernate: Hibernate: insert into file_table (ID,FILE) values (?, ?) And in my hibernate file I'm using java.sql.Blob to store the file. Anyone knows why it fails to save a file size of 148KB but if I open that same file, cut it down to around 5KB, it will successfully save it? I thought the default limit was I think 2GB? This is weird. Thanks.

    I have two tables: Standards and Service Offerings. A Standard can have multiple Service Offerings. Each Standard can have a different number of Service Offerings associated to it. What I need to be able to do is write a view that will return some common data and then list the service offerings on one line. For example: Standard Id | Description | SO #1 | SO #2 | SO #3 | ... | SO #21 | SO Count 1 | One | A | B | C | ... | G | 21 2 | Two | A | | | ... | | 1 3 | Three | B | D | E | ... | | 3 I have no idea how to write this. The number of SO columns is set to a specific number (21 in this case), so we cannot exceed past that. Any ideas on how to approach this? A place I started is below. It just returned multiple rows for each Service Offering, when they need to be on one row. SELECT * FROM SERVICE_OFFERINGS WHERE STANDARD_KEY IN (SELECT STANDARD_KEY FROM STANDARDS)

  • UISwitch text not showing on device

    Hi, I have a screen with several UISwitch controls. On my iPhone simulator this screen works correctly and The Switch text shows as On/Off. Different on my testing device (iPod Touch). Here the text seems to get lost and I only get "1" (instead of "On") and "0" (instead of "Off"). I don't know where the iPod Touch is different and why it's not showing correctly. Anyone had a similar experience? Is this a bug? Cheers

    I am working on a project to convert OCR'd PDf to png using ImageMagick and ghostscript and display in the browser so that i can select words in the image by letting a user query for the word . Imagemagick works fine along with ghostscript . I have a problem with the ps2text utility where it does not work reliably with pdf's . could anybody suggest a good utility to convert postscript to text in Linux so that i can store it in a db . thereafter i use a custom written search class to find out the co-ordinates of each word and highlight the text in the browser . The start is empty, but I want the end point to be populated with the address from a div that I already have in the page.     I have a project where I create WiX (Windows Installer for XML) files, when they are not already present. It is working perfectly. Now I want to expand it to add more functionality. I was wondering if there is a way to create a Visual Studio project programmatically? This project is run as part of our nightly build process, and when a new wix file is needed it is created, but I want to have everything in place when the build is finished so if necessary you can just open the project in Visual Studio and start editing. Am I dreaming outside the realm of possibility or no? Any nudge in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello everybody, I am writing intranet site for tracking employees science activities in organization. There lots of editable information on each personal page (science degree, publications & so on) so I upload editor per request (user clicks "edit" and modal dialog with html editor: set of textboxes/comboboxes/autocomplete features & validation logic appears). Editor is html layout that is wrapped with jquery dialog plugin + some logic, written as javascript functions that should be invoked from the callee page (onsubmit, validate, afterLoad editor events). There are also attributes (editor preferrable with and height) that are passed to callee page also. Currently I send these functions & attribute as ... function onsubmit() { }; function validate() { } var width = 640; var height = 800 ... code that is embedded into the request page. Function calls and editor markup wrap with jquery plugin completed in the callee page. It works, but I have some try { call editor event handler } catch { } stuff in callee page (because not every editor provides these functions) and some attributes (editor width & height for instance) that are loaded as variables declared in javascript. Please, suggest, is there a better approach to build & use custom editors for my situation. Thank you in advance!

    I have a table providers that has three columns (containing more columns but not important in this case): starttime, start time in which you can contact him. endtime, final hour in which you can contact him. region_id, region where the provider resides. In USA: California, Texas, etc. In UK: England, Scotland, etc starttime and endtime are time without timezone columns, but, "indirectly", their value has time zone of the region in which the provider resides. For example: starttime | endtime | region_id (time zone of region) | "real" st | "real" et ----------|----------|---------------------------------|-----------|----------- 03:00:00 | 17:00:00 | 1 (EGT => -1) | 02:00:00 | 16:00:00 Often I need to get the list of suppliers whose time range is within the current server time (taking into account the time zone conversion). The problem is that the time zones aren't "constant", ie, they may change during the summer time. However, this change is very specific to the region and not always carried out at the same time: EGT <= EGST, ART <= ARST, etc. The question is: 1. Is it necessary to use a webservice to update every so often the time zones in the regions? Does anyone know of a web service that can serve? 2. Is there a better approach to solve this problem? Thanks in advance. UPDATE I will give an example to clarify what I'm trying to get.     I have a string in my code that I receive that contains some html tags. It is not part of the HTML page being displayed so I cannot grab the html tag contents using the DOM (i.e. document.getElementById('tag id').firstChild.data); So, for example within the string of text would appear a tag like this: 12 My question is how would I use a regular expression to access the '12' numeric digit in this example? This quantity could be any number of digits (i.e. it is not always a double digit). I have tried some regular expressions, but always end up getting the full span tag returned along with the contents. I only want the '12' in the example above, not the surrounding tag. The id of the tags will always be 'myQty' in the string of text I receive. Thanks in advance for any help!
