  • sqlalchemy dynamic mapping

    Hi, I have the following problem: I have the class: class Word(object): def __init__(self): self.id = None self.columns = {} def __str__(self): return "(%s, %s)" % (str(self.id), str(self.columns)) self.columns is a dict which will hold (columnName:columnValue) values. The name of the columns are known at runtime and they are loaded in a wordColumns list, for example wordColumns = ['english', 'korean', 'romanian'] wordTable = Table('word', metadata, Column('id', Integer, primary_key = True) ) for columnName in wordColumns: wordTable.append_column(Column(columnName, String(255), nullable = False)) I even created a explicit mapper properties to "force" the table columns to be mapped on word.columns[columnName], instead of word.columnName, I don't get any error on mapping, but it seems that doesn't work. mapperProperties = {} for column in wordColumns: mapperProperties['columns[\'%']' % column] = wordTable.columns[column] mapper(Word, wordTable, mapperProperties) When I load a word object, SQLAlchemy creates an object which has the word.columns['english'], word.columns['korean'] etc. properties instead of loading them into word.columns dict. So for each column, it creates a new property. Moreover word.columns dictionary doesn't even exists. The same way, when I try to persist a word, SQLAlchemy expects to find the column values in properties named like word.columns['english'] (string type) instead of the dictionary word.columns. I have to say that my experience with Python and SQLAlchemy is quite limited, maybe it isn't possible to do what I'm trying to do. Any help appreciated, Thanks in advance.

  • Dynamic evaluation of a table column within an insert before trigger

    HI All, I have 3 tables, main, types and linked. main has an id column and 32 type columns. types has id, type linked has id, main_id, type_id I want to create an insert before trigger on the main table. It needs to compare its 32 type columns to the values in the types table if the main table column has an 'X' for its value and insert the main_id and types_id into the linked table. i have done a lot of searching, and it looks like a prepared statement would be the way to go, but i wanted to ask the experts. The issue, is i dont want to write 32 IF statements, and even if i did, i need to query the types table to get the ID for that type, seems like a huge waist of resources. Ideally i want to do this inside of my trigger: BEGIN DECLARE @types results_set -- (not sure if this is a valid type); -- (iam sure my loop syntax is all wrong here)... SET @types = (select * from types) for i=0;i<types.records;i++ { IF NEW.[i.type] = 'X' THEN insert into linked (main_id,type_id) values (new.ID, i.id); END IF; } END; Anyway, This is what i was hoping to do, maybe there is a way to dynamically set the field name inside of a results loop, but i cant find a good example of this.   • Creating controls in ASP with dynamic IDs

    Hi, I'm creating a chat widget that will be dropped into CommunityServer. The widget works great, but I just discovered that if I drop two of these widgets onto the same page, only one of them works! And I'm quite certain the reason is because the chat window is defined in ASP, and now there are two instances of the chat window, with the same ID, on the same page. I am doing this with straight ASP & Javascript (not by choice), so my chat window is defined as: <telerik:RadListBox ID="rlbMessages" runat="server" > (don't mind that it's a telerik control). So I was hoping I could do something like this: <telerik:RadListBox ID="<%= 'rlbMessages' + chatRoomID %>" runat="server" > But from what I've gathered, apparently you can't assign ID's this way? What is the alternative?

  • Problem saving Text file in database using Hibernate

    I'm having a problem saving large text files to MySQL database. If the text file size is around 5KB it successfully saves. If file is 148KB then I get this error from Hibernate: org.hibernate.exception.DataException: Could not execute JDBC batch update These is the SQL shows by Hibernate: Hibernate: insert into file_table (ID,FILE) values (?, ?) And in my hibernate file I'm using java.sql.Blob to store the file. Anyone knows why it fails to save a file size of 148KB but if I open that same file, cut it down to around 5KB, it will successfully save it? I thought the default limit was I think 2GB? This is weird. Thanks.

  • Can't type text into table cell when form is protected in Word 2002

    I created several tables in an Word 2002 document to act as a form for users to fill out. In some cells I added check boxes and dropdown lists for people to select options from. When I click on the Protect form button the check boxes and dropdowns become active; however, I can't type anything in the other cells. If I click in an empty cell it automatically moves to the next checkbox. When I unprotect the form then I can type in the empty cells but then checkboxes and dropdowns become useless. I know that the user can double click on the checkbox and then manually select to have it checked, but they can't do this with the dropdowns. What do I have to do to allow the user to type in responses to the tables cells and also select answers from checkboxes and dropdowns? Thanks!

    I program HTML interface with jquery. There is editable list of publications on the page and user can click any publication to edit details. Popup window appears with data and there is list of authors embedded into details form. There are edit/delete buttons against every of them + "add new author" button. User manipulates authors without page reload. When I insert a new author there are new edit/delete buttons created dynamically & embedded into page. I insert tags like this: <td class="author-actions"> <img onclick='edit(id)' .../> <img onclick='delete(id)' .../> </td> Just the same html-layout that is sent from web-server when popup window appears. But somehow it looks different. There is extraspace between images though firebug demonstrates the same css attributes applied. If I select with mouse inserted layout with IE, somehow it can reorder and become the same-looklike as the those, send by web-server. What can it be?

    I have a odt(or pdf, or ps) file. [Really I have odt, but I can easily convert it], it consist of 1 page. No I want to print it to another pdf 4 times to 1 page. There is an option pages per side, so If I copy-paste 4 times my document and set this option to 4 I'll have my expected result. But I want to do it without copy-paste because it's quite annoying to copy-and-paste before each printing. Is it simpler way?

Instead of open in PDF application it is rendering PDF as text.     There is a Scenario to be developed for a 3-tier Application .We need to design a Framework or a utility sort of thing . In tradional aspect of GUI Designing , either we tend to create a static gui page and code the elements on it along with other properties of the elements such as (disabled/enabled,image source,name ,id ,which function to be called under onclick event.) or we tend to drag and drop the elements from the control pallete provided by variety of gui frameworks. Certain things i need to design a POC so that we can develop this concept. 1) There must a utility ,such that during creation of screen layout , that screen should be saved in the database(RDBMS) with a screen number. 2) All the Events related to that control should be saved in some other table which will be dynamically mapped during the calling of screen number by the user. 3) When the user call that screen ,a generic function should be invoked which'll call the screen file from the database and apply all the properties ,events,etc at runtime and the final output will be displayed to the user. This POC will help the us to customised the screens according to our usage.also all the code will seperated which can easily be used for some other development process. Thanks Amit Kalra

    I have an absolutely positioned element at the bottom of a container element. The problem is that the content of the container changes dynamically (javascript).     Well, I am perplexed. I am working with an Ubuntu server and I type in grep 'bash' *.sh BUT fgrep 'bash' *.sh works like a champ. which grep and which fgrep both point to their respective executables in /bin. I am perplexed as to what I am doing wrong. EXAMPLE output: $ grep -F 'grounding' repl.clj Usage: grep [OPTION]... PATTERN [FILE]... Search for PATTERN in each FILE or standard input. PATTERN is, by default, a basic regular expression (BRE). Example: grep -i 'hello world' menu.h main.c $ fgrep 'grounding' repl.clj (p/concepts-for-grounding-term imp1 "PERSON" "summary") See? grep is failing but fgrep is working fine. That is why I am perplexed.

    I need to generate a mass mailing based on a word document model with PHP. Given is a database with the adresses and the data that need to be filled in my word model. I want to generate a single word document with the different adresses and field contents from the database. We have a Linux server and the COM object is not avalaible. Is there a ready to use class to do this? Did you had any experiance with PHPWord? What is the best practice in this case? In the ideal case the client should just upload th word master document, with the fields that need to be filled and then fusioned to a multiple pages word document containing the whole mailing.

It certainly loads the right amount of items as it says in the lower bar on safari but I see three small calendars and that is it. Can anyone see where I have made a mistake?

I want the script to be called at random, so generating the random times for say a month in advance and then creating cron jobs for each of them isn't what I'm looking for.     I want to use a while loop to initialize class objects with a simple incremented naming convention. The goal is to be able to scale the number of class objects at will and have the program generate the names automatically. (ex. h1...h100...h1000...) Each h1,h2,h3... being its own instance. Here is my first attempt... have been unable to find a good example. class Korker(object): def __init__(self,ident,roo): self.ident = ident self.roo = roo b = 1 hwinit = 'h' hwstart = 0 while b <= 10: showit = 'h' + str(b) print(showit) #showit seems to generate just fine as demonstrated by print str(showit) == Korker("test",2) #this is the line that fails b += 1 The errors I get range from a string error to a cannot use function type error.... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
