  • Report viewer in wpf and selection formula

    - by shabi
    I have a WPF application that I would like to present SQL Server Reporting Services sql 2008 reports in. I understand we have to use host widow control and then in report viewer control. I want to use remote processing mode. My code sample is : I have added namespaces: using System.Windows.Forms; using System.Windows.Forms.Integration; using Microsoft.Reporting; using Microsoft.ReportingServices; using Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms; My XAML: xmlns:wfi="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Forms.Integration;assembly=WindowsFormsIntegration" xmlns:wf="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Forms;assembly=System.Windows.Forms" xmlns:wfr="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms;assembly=Microsoft.ReportViewer.WinForms" Title="ReportHost" Height="300" Width="300"> <Grid> <wfi:WindowsFormsHost Height="100" Margin="39,27,39,0" Name="winFormsHost" VerticalAlignment="Top" > <wfr:ReportViewer x:Name="rptViewer" ProcessingMode="Remote" /> </wfi:WindowsFormsHost> </Grid> Code: rptViewer.ServerReport.ReportServerUrl = new Uri("http://mymachine-:8080/ReportServer_myreports"); rptViewer.ServerReport.ReportPath="/Reports/mytestreport.rdl"; rptViewer.ServerReport.Refresh(); My question is that how how can I set selection formula in microsoft report viewer control [like crystal report]. Or miscroft provided any this else which behave like selection formula in crystal reports. And when I run the code it show only report viewer in host window control but not the report data in window. Please some one provide me all step list, Which I have to fallow to get required result with sample code. Quick response will be appricated.

  • Extended SurfaceView's onDraw() method never called

    - by Gab Royer
    Hi, I'm trying to modify the SurfaceView I use for doing a camera preview in order to display an overlaying square. However, the onDraw method of the extended SurfaceView is never called. Here is the source : public class CameraPreviewView extends SurfaceView { protected final Paint rectanglePaint = new Paint(); public CameraPreviewView(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); rectanglePaint.setARGB(255, 200, 0, 0); rectanglePaint.setStyle(Paint.Style.FILL); rectanglePaint.setStrokeWidth(2); } @Override protected void onDraw(Canvas canvas){ canvas.drawRect(new Rect(10,10,200,200), rectanglePaint); Log.w(this.getClass().getName(), "On Draw Called"); } } public class CameraPreview extends Activity implements SurfaceHolder.Callback{ private SurfaceHolder holder; private Camera camera; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState){ super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); // We remove the status bar, title bar and make the application fullscreen requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE); getWindow().setFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN, WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_FULLSCREEN); // We set the content view to be the layout we made setContentView(R.layout.camera_preview); // We register the activity to handle the callbacks of the SurfaceView CameraPreviewView surfaceView = (CameraPreviewView) findViewById(R.id.camera_surface); holder = surfaceView.getHolder(); holder.addCallback(this); holder.setType(SurfaceHolder.SURFACE_TYPE_PUSH_BUFFERS); } public void surfaceChanged(SurfaceHolder holder, int format, int width, int height) { Camera.Parameters params = camera.getParameters(); params.setPreviewSize(width, height); camera.setParameters(params); try { camera.setPreviewDisplay(holder); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } camera.startPreview(); } public void surfaceCreated(SurfaceHolder holder) { camera = Camera.open(); } public void surfaceDestroyed(SurfaceHolder holder) { camera.stopPreview(); camera.release(); } }

  • ExtJS: Autoscroll vertical FormPanels added to panel

    - by Sarge
    Hi All, I'm writing an app where I have a BorderLayout for the entire page. In the south part I have a Panel to which I add FormPanels. I would like to be able to scroll that Panel so I can scroll through the FormPanels. So far, nothing I've found from searches has helped. I don't quite understand what ExtJS requires in terms of the combination of LayoutManagers, setting the size and setting AutoScroll. Any partial tips will be gratefully followed up. A code snippet: createTrailJunctionPanel = function(trailJunction) { var trailJunctionPanel = new Ext.form.FormPanel({ labelWidth: 75, width: 350, defaultType: 'textfield', items: [{ fieldLabel: 'Junction Name', name: 'junction-name' }], autoScroll:true, //anchor: '100% 100%', height: 100 }); matchedTrailJunctionsPanel.add(trailJunctionPanel); if(trailJunction.publicTrailSegments.length == 0) { matchedTrailJunctionsPanel.add(new Ext.form.Label({text: 'No public trails matched'})); } else { var grid = new Ext.grid.GridPanel({ store: mapMatchObjectStore, columns: [ {id:'publicTrailSegment',header: 'Trail', width: 160, sortable: true, dataIndex: 'publicTrailSegment'} ], stripeRows: true, autoExpandColumn: 'publicTrailSegment', height: 350, width: 600, title: 'Matched Trail Junctions' }); matchedTrailJunctionsPanel.add(grid); } matchedTrailJunctionsPanel.doLayout(); } matchedTrailJunctionsPanel = new Ext.Panel({ title: "Matched Trail Junctions2", id: "matched-trail-junctions", autoScroll:true //layout: 'anchor' });

  • Jquery cycle plugin image resizing issue opera

    - by Sam Gregory
    I am using the cycle plugin within Joomla and it works fine on IE6,FF,SAFARI,CHROME however when you view it in OPERA breaking happens. It loads fine but when it brings in the next slide and every consequent slide after that it re-sizes them to what i can only assume to be the browswe window's width and height. here's my javascript <script type="text/javascript"> $('.fullScreen').cycle({ speed: 1000, timeout: 100 }); </script> css <script type="text/css"> .fullScreen { margin-left: 0px; height: 355px; clear: both; width: 475px; z-index: -1; overflow: hidden; } </script> and finally HTML <div class="fullscreen"> <img width="475px" src="images/someimage1.jpg" /> <img width="475px" src="images/someimage2.jpg" /> <img width="475px" src="images/someimage3.jpg" /> </div> hope I'm not the only one having this problem.

    - by sneixum

  • Jquery.Cycle and IE7 including next Div

    - by Aklobem
    Hi All, I'd really appreciate if someone could help me with a strange problem with Jquery.cycle. I've added jquery.cycle (verson 2.72) into a existing application (Prestashop) to slideshow a number of images. On Firefox, Mozilla etc it works brilliantly - on IE7 a bizarre problem occurs. The problem is where I have a and say 6 pictures a couple of to break things up then another content and IE includes the "editorial" into the slideshow. The "editorial" block is removed from the page, and appears as the last slide in the slideshow, located in the top left corner. Additional facts: jquery-1.2.6 is in use for the rest of the application (I've tried to upgrade it and all I get is the same behaviour with lots of other things breaking). I've tried jquery.cycle.lite - same behaviour. css: root { display: block; } .pics { height: 432px; width: 432px; padding: 0; margin: 0; } .pics img { padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #ccc; background-color: #eee; width: 400px; height: 400px; top: 0; left: 0 } div.pics { margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } snippet: $(document).ready(function() { $('.pics').cycle({ fx: 'fade', pause: 100, cleartype: 1 }); }); img source img source img source img source

  • Blind down animation on CALayer using a mask

    - by dgjones346
    Hi there, I want to create a "blind down" effect on an image so the image "blinds down" and appears. Sort of like this JavaScript transition: http://wiki.github.com/madrobby/scriptaculous/effect-blinddown The mask is setup correctly because if I manually change it's position it hides and reveals the image behind it, but it doesn't animate! It just ends up in the animates final position and you never see it actual blind. Please help! Maybe this isn't the best way to achieve a blind down effect? // create a new layer CALayer *numberLayer = [[CALayer alloc] init]; // render the number "7" on the layer UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"number-7.png"]; numberLayer.contents = (id) [image CGImage]; numberLayer.bounds = CGRectMake(0, 0, image.size.width, image.size.height); // width and height are 50 numberLayer.position = position; // create a new mask that is 50x50 the size of the image CAShapeLayer *maskLayer = [[CAShapeLayer alloc] init]; CGMutablePathRef path = CGPathCreateMutable(); CGPathAddRect(path, nil, CGRectMake(0, 0, 50, 50)); [maskLayer setPath:path]; [maskLayer setFillColor:[[UIColor whiteColor] CGColor]]; [theLayer setMask:maskLayer]; [maskLayer setPosition:CGPointMake(0, 0)]; // place the mask over the image [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:3.0]; [maskLayer setPosition:CGPointMake(0, 50)]; // slide mask off the image // this should shift the blind away in an animation // but it doesn't animate [UIView commitAnimations]; [maskLayer release]; [boardLayer addSublayer:numberLayer]; [numberLayer release];

  • WPF DatePicker IsEnabled property not changing appearance

    - by Jonathan
    I think I have found an issue with the DatePicker in the toolkit, perhaps some of you gurus can check it out. The issue is when setting the IsEnabled property of the DatePicker. If set in XAML, it stays grey even if you set the IsEnabled to true at run time. The same goes for the other way around should it start off being enabled. The button just changes the IsEnabled property of the date picker, you will see that when it becomes enabled, the style remains grayed out. <Window x:Class="WpfApplication3.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:tk="http://schemas.microsoft.com/wpf/2008/toolkit" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300"> <StackPanel> <tk:DatePicker x:Name="txtDate" IsEnabled="False"></tk:DatePicker> <Button Height="25" Click="Button_Click"></Button> </StackPanel> </Window> private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { txtDate.IsEnabled = !txtDate.IsEnabled; }

  • WPF and canvas overlay

    - by user200851
    I have a grid which represents some data, and i need a canvas to overlay on top of it to layout some lines. The canvas is inside it's own usercontrol The problem is that the canvas and it's contents should autoresize when the grid resizes width and height. I added the canvas inside a viewbox, but it didn't do the trick. When the grid resizes, the canvas doesn't. The purpose of the canvas is to overlay a ruler-like functionality on top of the grid. I cannot use a style on the grid to replace the canvas, because the grid is showing different information than the canvas does. Think of it as chart, in which there are bar columns of different sizes (in my case the grid) and the days are lines in an overlay (just as a Gannt Chart) My code: taxCanvas = new TimeAxis(); Grid.SetRowSpan(taxCanvas, GRightMain.RowDefinitions.Count); Grid.SetColumnSpan(taxCanvas, GRightMain.ColumnDefinitions.Count); Grid.SetColumn(taxCanvas, 0); Grid.SetRow(taxCanvas, 0); Grid.SetZIndex(taxCanvas, -1); taxCanvas.Height = GRight.ActualHeight; taxCanvas.Width = GRight.ActualWidth; GRightMain.Children.Add(taxCanvas); TimeAxis is my canvas usercontrol, GRightMain is a grid which holds both my canvas and the grid with the content (Gright) in the same row and column.

  • WPF: Convert string to system.windows.style

    Is it possible to convert string to system.windows.style? How? Example: <Style TargetType="ToggleButton" x:Key="toggleCollapsed"> <Setter Property="Control.Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="ToggleButton"> <Border Background="#00FFFFFF" Width="19" Height="13" > <Border BorderThickness="1,1,1,1" CornerRadius="1,1,1,1" BorderBrush="#FF8E997D" Width="9" Height="9" > <Border.Background> <LinearGradientBrush StartPoint="0,0" EndPoint="1,1"> <LinearGradientBrush.GradientStops> <GradientStop Color="#FFFFFFFF" Offset="0.4" /> <GradientStop Color="#FFC3BAAA" Offset="1" /> </LinearGradientBrush.GradientStops> </LinearGradientBrush> </Border.Background> <Path Data="M0,2L0,3 2,3 2,5 3,5 3,3 5,3 5,2 3,2 3,0 2,0 2,2z" x:Name="pathToggle" Fill="#FF000000" Margin="1,1,1,1"/> </Border> </Border> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> The style above is stored in my .resx.   • Positioning Layers and text gradients with css

    - by Kenji Crosland
    I'm a CSS newbie trying to get some text gradients going on. I tried this code here but it didn't work for me, most likely because the h1 object is nested within a #header div. I imagine there's something to do with layers that I don't know about. Either I get a gradent block that is in front of everything or it's not appearing at all. In this particular instance this code makes a big gradient bar appear in front of everything: #header { clear:both; float:left; -moz-background-inline-policy:continuous; -moz-background-origin:padding; background:#080E73 url(../images/header-background.png) repeat-x left 0px; width:100%; max-height: 175px; color: #080E73; } #header h1 { margin-bottom: 0; color: #000; position: relative; } #header h1 span { background:url(../images/headline-text.png) repeat-x; display: block; width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; } Here is the HTML (I'm using ruby on rails hence the notation) <div id="header"> <% unless flash[:notice].blank? %> <div id="notice"><%= flash[:notice] %></div> <% end %> <%= image_tag ("header-image.png") %> <h1><span></span>Headline</h1> <strong>Byline</strong> ... #navbar html... </div> I tried playing with z-index but I couldn't come up with any good results. Any ideas?

  • UIKeyBoard resize on orientation change to landscape

    - by Dave
    This is very rookie question. I have a UIToolBar at the bottom which is supposed to animatedly move up and down with key board when the UIKeyBoard is displayed. I got that working with the help of UIKeyBoard Notifications. The view we are talking about has split view enabled. When device orientation is landscape, both the views as columns are shown [hope that makes sense]. When key board is shown, i do this CGSize keyBoardSize = [[notificationInfo objectForKey:UIKeyboardFrameEndUserInfoKey]CGRectValue].size; CGRect toolbarFrame= [BottomToolBar frame]; toolbarFrame.origin.y -= keyBoardSize.height; [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:0.3]; BottomToolBar .frame = viewFrame; [UIView commitAnimations]; when key board is hiiden i do this toolbarFrame.origin.y += keyBoardSize.height; My Problem is when device orientation changes to landscape, when the key board is visible the bottom tool bar is gone. I see it move up quickly. I am not sure how to fix this. Can anyone help please? Also, is there a way to NOT make the key board span across both the views in the split view?

  • Starting Java applet directly from jar file

    - by Thomas
    The goal is to have an applet run from a jar file. The problem is that the applet only seems to want to run from an exploded jar file. Samples on the Internet suggest this applet tag: <applet code="com.blabla.MainApplet" archive="applet.jar" width="600" height="600"> This will not even try to look in the jar file and fails with: Caused by: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed:http://localhost:8080/helloWord/com/blabbla/MainApplet.class at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.access$000(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) ... 7 more Setting the codebase instead of the archive attribute to the jar file. Looks a bit better. However, the JVM does not realize that it has to open the jar file: <applet code="com.blabla.MainApplet" codebase="applet.jar" width="600" height="600"> Caused by: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed:http://localhost:8080/helloWord/applet.jar/com/blabbla/MainApplet.class at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.access$000(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) ... 7 more How does the applet tag have to be formulated to start an applet class from inside of a jar file?

  • CSS background-images and Z-Index problem

    - by dscher
    Hope someone has an easy answer on this. I have a header image which is just a 75px high gradient with a fade on the bottom. I have it set as the background image on my header and I want to throw in a left-sidebar on my page. There is a transparency on the header image and when I have my sidebar I can't get it to sit behind the header. You can see in this screenshot: link text The green sidebar won't "sit" behind the header. I have the header z-index set to 99 and the sidebar to 1. I tried the reverse to make sure I didn't mix up my numbers but that didn't work. Both are absolutely positioned. I'm attaching their CSS selectors in the hopes someone has an easy answer. Am sure I'm missing something basic: div.header { z-index: 99; background: transparent; background-image: url(images/header_bg.png); position: absolute; height: 85px; width: 100%; font-family: Helvetica, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; } div#leftsidebar { height: 400px; border-right-style: dashed; border-right-width: 1px; z-index: -1; margin-top: 75px; width: 200px; position: absolute; background-color: #66ff66; } Thanks.

  • wpf datagrid current item binding

    - by tk
    I want to bind a content of Label to the selected item of a datagrid. I thought the 'current item' binding expression would work, but it is not. My xaml code and code-behind c# is like below. <Window x:Class="WpfApplication2.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="512" Width="847"> <DockPanel LastChildFill="True"> <Label Content="{Binding Data/colA}" DockPanel.Dock="Top" Height="30"/> <DataGrid ItemsSource="{Binding Data}"></DataGrid> </DockPanel> </Window> namespace WpfApplication2 { public partial class MainWindow : Window { public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); this.DataContext = new MyData(); } } public class MyData { DataTable data; public MyData() { data = new DataTable(); data.Columns.Add("colA"); data.Columns.Add("colB"); data.Rows.Add("aa", 1); data.Rows.Add("bb", 2); } public DataTable Data { get { return data; } } } } The label shows the first item of the DataTable, and does not change when i select other items on the datagrid. It seems the current item of dataview does not change. What should i do to bind it to the current selected item of datagrid?

Is something like this possible? Where can I find more complex tutorials that show more than just passing a java.lang.String? Thanks

  • How to use a derived ControlTemplate in WPF

    - by Frank Fella
    The following xaml code works: <Window x:Class="DerivedTemplateBug.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:DerivedTemplateBug" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300"> <Button> <Button.Template> <ControlTemplate> <Border BorderBrush="Black" BorderThickness="2"> <TextBlock>Testing!</TextBlock> </Border> </ControlTemplate> </Button.Template> </Button> </Window> Now, if you define the following data template: using System.Windows.Controls; namespace DerivedTemplateBug { public class DerivedTemplate : ControlTemplate { } } And then swap the ControlTemplate for the derived class: <Window x:Class="DerivedTemplateBug.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:DerivedTemplateBug" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300"> <Button> <Button.Template> <local:DerivedTemplate> <Border BorderBrush="Black" BorderThickness="2"> <TextBlock>Testing!</TextBlock> </Border> </local:DerivedTemplate> </Button.Template> </Button> </Window> You get the following error: Invalid ContentPropertyAttribute on type 'DerivedTemplateBug.DerivedTemplate', property 'Content' not found. Can anyone tell my why this is the case?

  • Rotate a Swing JLabel

    - by Johannes Rössel
    I am currently trying to implement a Swing component, inheriting from JLabel which should simply represent a label that can be oriented vertically. Beginning with this: public class RotatedLabel extends JLabel { public enum Direction { HORIZONTAL, VERTICAL_UP, VERTICAL_DOWN } private Direction direction; I thought it's be a nice idea to just alter the results from getPreferredSize(): @Override public Dimension getPreferredSize() { // swap size for vertical alignments switch (getDirection()) { case VERTICAL_UP: case VERTICAL_DOWN: return new Dimension(super.getPreferredSize().height, super .getPreferredSize().width); default: return super.getPreferredSize(); } } and then simply transform the Graphics object before I offload painting to the original JLabel: @Override protected void paintComponent(Graphics g) { Graphics2D gr = (Graphics2D) g.create(); switch (getDirection()) { case VERTICAL_UP: gr.translate0, getPreferredSize().getHeight()); gr.transform(AffineTransform.getQuadrantRotateInstance(-1)); break; case VERTICAL_DOWN: // TODO break; default: } super.paintComponent(gr); } } It seems to work—somehow—in that the text is now displayed vertically. However, placement and size are off: Actually, the width of the background (orange in this case) is identical with the height of the surrounding JFrame which is ... not quite what I had in mind. Any ideas how to solve that in a proper way? Is delegating rendering to superclasses even encouraged?

  • iPhone Keyboard hiding fields in UIWebView

    - by Pete
    Hi, I am a beginner at iPhone development and am hoping someone can help me with my question. I have a UIWebView displaying a web page. If the user taps inside a textbox on the web page then the keyboard pops up. This is great, but it hides the field that the user tapped on. I have looked around and found code samples to deal with this, but none that specifically deal with the UIWebView. I have implemented UIKeyboardDidShowNotification and UIKeyboardDidHideNotification but am not sure how to resize the UIWebView properly. I have tried putting the UIWebView in a UIScrollView but not had any success with that. The code below seems to adjust the UIWebView but won't let it scroll to the field. -(void) keyboardDidShow: (NSNotification *)notif{ if (keyboardShown) return; NSLog(@"Keyboard Show"); NSDictionary *info = [notif userInfo]; NSValue *aValue = [info objectForKey:UIKeyboardBoundsUserInfoKey]; CGSize keyboardSize = [aValue CGRectValue].size; CGRect viewFrame = webBrowser.frame; viewFrame.size.height -= keyboardSize.height; webBrowser.frame = viewFrame; keyboardShown = YES; } -(void) keyboardDidHide: (NSNotification *)notif{ NSLog(@"Keyboard hide"); keyboardShown = NO; } Hopefully someone can help me or point me in the right direction. Thanks! Pete

  • CSS sliding door background image problem.

    - by ethyreal
    I noticed I am not the first to ask about CSS sliding doors. However this seems (at least to me) to be a rather odd problem which I have not seen an answer for. Trying to create a simple rounded corner link button: html: <a href="#" class="link_button"><span>Add A New Somthing</span></a> css: .link_button { background: transparent url('img/backgrounds/bg-buttonRight.png') no-repeat scroll top right; color: #444; display: block; float: left; font: normal 12px arial; height: 41px; margin-right: 6px; padding-right: 14px; text-decoration: none; } .link_button span { background: transparent url('img/backgrounds/bg-buttonLeft.png') no-repeat top left; display: block; line-height: 31px; padding: 5px 0 5px 14px; } .link_button:active { background-position: bottom right; color: #000; outline: none; } .link_button:active span { background-position: bottom left; padding: 6px 0 4px 18px; } results: The two images are overlapping, which is what I want, but why the discoloration? Why would one be darker? I tried using png jpg, gif, with and without transparency. I posted the code here, along with another attempt using only one jpg instead of two, but still the same results. Did I miss something? Thanks in advance.

  • Generate BitmapSource from UIElement

    - by Joel
    I am attempting to generate a BitmapFrame that is based on a UIElement. Here is my function: private BitmapFrame RenderToBitmap2() { RenderTargetBitmap renderBitmap = new RenderTargetBitmap(200, 200, 96, 96, PixelFormats.Pbgra32); DrawingVisual drawingVisual = new DrawingVisual(); DrawingContext drawingContext = drawingVisual.RenderOpen(); VisualBrush aVisualBrush = new VisualBrush(GenerateTestStackPanel()); drawingContext.DrawRectangle(aVisualBrush, new Pen(Brushes.Green, 2), new Rect(new Size(150, 150))); drawingContext.Close(); renderBitmap.Render(drawingVisual); return BitmapFrame.Create(renderBitmap); } For testing and debugging purposes, I am using an additional function that creates a simple StackFrame that should create a valid visual element that can be represented: private StackPanel GenerateTestStackPanel() { // Create a red Ellipse. Ellipse myEllipse = new Ellipse(); myEllipse.Fill = Brushes.Green; myEllipse.StrokeThickness = 2; myEllipse.Stroke = Brushes.Black; // Set the width and height of the Ellipse. myEllipse.Width = 200; myEllipse.Height = 200; // Add the Ellipse to the StackPanel. StackPanel myStackPanel = new StackPanel(); myStackPanel.Children.Add(myEllipse); return myStackPanel; } For some reason, the VisualBrush is not being rendered in the DrawRetangle(...) function. I can see the green border but nothing else. In addition, if I swap out the VisualBrush with a standard brush, it works great: drawingContext.DrawRectangle(Brushes.Plum, new Pen(Brushes.Green, 2), new Rect(new Size(150, 150))); Thanks in advance! -Joel

  • Traversing/Manipulating new window from parent window with jquery

    - by Anthony
    I found a question already with a possible solution, but I had already tried the method suggested before reading it, and it even says it's inconsistent. So I guess I'm wondering why this doesn't work: $("img").click(function() { var imgwindow = window.open('imgwin.html','','width=460,height=345'); alert(imgwindow.find("img").attr("src")); }); The goal is to set the new window's img to the same src as the image that the user clicked to open the new window. But in the above scenario, I'm just trying to tap into the new window to get what it's already-set src. I have imgwin.html already written with a default src for the image, so it should alert that url. Instead I just get undefined. I also tried the following (which should be identical on the back end), but with the same results: $("img").click(function() { var imgwindow = window.open('imgwin.html','','width=460,height=345'); alert($("img",imgwindow).attr("src")); }); I even tried variations of wrapping the imgwindow variable in $() in case somehow jquery wasn't picking up on the variable as a DOM element. The only thing I can guess is that since window.open() is a method, jquery doesn't treat it like a DOM element, even though all documentation from basic javascript tutorials treat the variable as both a method to open the window and the pointer to the window's inner DOM.

  • How to make a UITextField move up when keyboard is present

    - by philfreo
    EDIT: Over 1k views with 3 upvotes? If this question is helpful, vote it up :) With the iPhone SDK: I have a UIView with UITextFields that brings up a keyboard. I need it to be able to: Allow scrolling of the contents of the UIScrollView to see the other text fields once the keyboard is brought up Automatically "jump" (by scrolling up) or shortening I know that I need a UIScrollView. I've tried changing the class of my UIView to a UIScrollView but I'm still unable to scroll the textboxes up or down. Do I need both a UIView and a UIScrollView? Does one go inside the other? [EDIT: I now know that you want a UIView inside of a UIScrollView, and the trick is to programatically set the content size of the UIScrollView to the frame size of the UIView.] Then what needs to be implemented in order to automatically scroll to the active text field? Ideally as much of the setup of the components as possible will be done in Interface Builder. I'd like to only write code for what needs it. Note: the UIView (or UIScrollView) that I'm working with is brought up by a tabbar (UITabBar), which needs to function as normal. Edit: I am adding the scroll bar just for when the keyboard comes up. Even though it's not needed, I feel like it provides a better interface because then the user can scroll and change textboxes, for example. I've got it working where I change the frame size of the UIScrollView when the keyboard goes up and down. I'm simply using: -(void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField { //Keyboard becomes visible scrollView.frame = CGRectMake(scrollView.frame.origin.x, scrollView.frame.origin.y, scrollView.frame.size.width, scrollView.frame.size.height - 215 + 50); //resize } -(void)textFieldDidEndEditing:(UITextField *)textField { //keyboard will hide scrollView.frame = CGRectMake(scrollView.frame.origin.x, scrollView.frame.origin.y, scrollView.frame.size.width, scrollView.frame.size.height + 215 - 50); //resize } However this doesn't automatically "move up" or center the lower text fields in the visible area, which is what I would really like.
