  I'm looking to count the dates covered (inclusive) between two DateTimes (not .TotalDays) For example: 2012-2-1 14:00 to 2012-2-2 23:00 -> 2 2012-2-1 14:00 to 2012-2-2 10:00 -> 2 2012-2-1 14:00 to 2012-2-1 15:00 -> 1 2012-1-1 00:00 to 2012-12-31 23:59 -> 366 I can get this functionality with the code below: DateTime dt1 = new DateTime(2000,1,2,12,00,00); DateTime dt2 = new DateTime(2000,1,3,03,00,00); int count = 0; for (DateTime date = dt1; date.Date <= dt2.Date; date = date.AddDays(1)) count++; return count; Is there a better way?

  I'm trying to put together a really simple module with one .py source file in it, and have already run into a roadblock. I was going to call it scons-config but import scons-config doesn't work in Python. I found this SO question and looked at PEP8 style guide but am kind of bewildered, it doesn't talk about two-word-name conventions. What's the right way to deal with this? module name: SconsConfig? scons_config? sconsconfig? scons.config? name of the single .py file in it: scons-config.py? scons_config.py?

  hi, i hope there's a simple answer to this. without getting too complicated i have two classes. an "Animal" and a "Cell" Cell contains an Animal as a member. Animal has methods that accept Cells in their parameters. i'm just confused as to how i #include each class the others header? i've only ever had to go up a chain of classes and just included the last class header in the next and so on, but this circular situation has me a bit lost. i hope that makes sense, any help greatly appreciated.

Now, let's say I decide to include a Javascript library which is GPL licensed: while I do not modify the downloaded JS file, I do write my own code making use of the library's functions. I plan to sell the final obfuscated executable and I'm wondering: what's the final license of the complete software? Do I only have to release the GPL library or does the GPL license apply for all the code I wrote? What happens to Node-Webkit's MIT license?

Basically, the code that I have right now is similar to: http://www.w3schools.com/PHP/php_ajax_database.asp I was wondering how should I modify those codes (both html, javascript and php) to create two drop down lists. The first drop list would be used for choosing the Lastname (eg. Swanson) and the second drop list would be used for choosing the Hometown (eg. Quahog). Then the user would click "Submit" button and the query would return the matching results (eg. all the Swansons living in Quahog). I'd be very thankful for all the ideas!

  Hi All, Is there a better way to calculate number of leap years between two years. Assuming I have start date and end date. I have my code, but I think there should be more elegant way. calling code: var numberOfLeapYears = NumberOfLeapYears(startDate.Year + 1, endDate.Year - 1); function itself: private static int NumberOfLeapYears(int startYear, int endYear) { var counter = 0; for (var year = startYear; year <= endYear; year++) counter += DateTime.IsLeapYear(year) ? 1 : 0; return counter; } So if I have startDate = "10/16/2006" and endDate = "4/18/2004" I should only have 1 leap year (2000) in result. Another words startDate's Year and endDate's year should not be calculated, only years in between. Thanks in advance for your help.

  hello all....firstly any help is greatly appreciated! i have been searching for a solution to my problem for a while and haven't found exactly what i am looking for. i have two tables notifications and mailmessages. notifications has fields( notifytime, notifynumber, and accountnumber). mailmessages has fields(id, messagesubject, messagenumber, accountnumber) my goal is to create a single sql query to retrieve distinct rows from mailmessages WHERE the accountnumber is a specific number AND the notifynumber=messagenumber AND ONLY the most recent notifytime from the notifications table where the accountnumbers match in both tables. i am using sqlexpress2008 as a backend to an asp.net page....this query should return distinct messages for an account with only the most recent date from the notifications table..please help! i'll buy you a beer!!!

  I'd like to write an axis label over two lines with an expression() statement. However, plotmath and expression won't allow this (e.g. subscript appear on the far right). I found this discussion circa 2005 of a similar issue but the work around that they offer doesn't translate to my application in ggplot2. A recent question addressed a a different permutation of multi-line expression statements, but again the work around provided doesn't apply here.   My question is simple, I have two databases with the same scehema, one is live database say DLive and other one is testbed say DTestBed.... However, I want to use the same database namespace for both database. How can I achieve that without changing namespace in my code all over? Sometimes you need to do builds for live and testbeds in the same day ! Its really hard to change big project namespaces everytime you build. For example, a return of my variable px will be something like -88.4029.032940598. vx is the x vector and mult is the distance of the line plus distance to calculate the point. I have been looking at some regex but without much luck most of what turned up was searching for fields that only contain ‘alpha’ chars. In a much watered down context...
