• Drupal, Views, Exposed filter: custom default selected tags

  hi I'm using Drupal, Views with a exposed filter (using taxonomy). My customer wants to set from back-end the default selected tags (in order to pre-filter the views content). In the exposed filter settings, there is functionality. However, it doesn't work properly: when I click on "Select None" link (I'm using better_exposed_filter module) I expect none of the tags are selected, instead, the default configuration (default selected tags) are selected, so actually it doesn't work anymore. I hope it is clear. So, I was wondering if I can prepare a custom menu in which my user can check/uncheck the default selected tags in the view. thanks

  I'm not sure how to approach this as I am fairly new to jQuery. I'm wanting to create a callback function within a custom function. Here's my example: function doSomething() { var output = 'output here'; // Do something here // This is where I want to create the callback function and pass output as a parameter } I want the callback function to be accessible by any number of scripts (e.g. more than one script can access this callback). This function (doSomething) is not part of a plugin but rather part of another callback function itself. I've also created a var within the function and want to pass that through the callback function as well. How can I do this?

  Hi, I am creating a custom StyleLabel by extending the UIView, which provides a link for particular type of strings. I have successfully implemented this functionality. I am using this label in TableViewCell along with UILabel.i set UILabel & StyleLabel background color is set to clearColor. UILabel works fine, but StyleLabel shows background in blackColor. I am not sure what is the problem with the following code. • Magento: custom module layout override not working

  I have a small custom module which is supposed to show on all product pages, but it doesn't. It only shows when setting its reference to "content", but I want it to display witin the already existing product view divs, thus, display it within the "product.info" reference. When I comment out "exampleView: Spanish.CustomListItemView" I can select rows, but they are no longer formatted properly. Why can I no longer select rows when I use exampleView?

  Hi, i was trying to serialize an ArrayList which contacins custom objects. I`am serializing it in a servlet(server side), and deserialize at the client side. (using ObjectOutputStream,ObjectInputStream) it worked fine, when I work with ArrayList< String but when i tried it with ArrayList< MyObject i couldnt get any results in the client side, this is the exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: web.MyObject *ofcourse that i have done this: MyObject implements Serializable ... MyObject contains only String fields in it. what have I done worng? Thanks, ray.

• GoogleMaps API v3 - Need help with two "click" event scenarios. Need similar functionality to v2 AP

  In version 2 of the API the map click event returned an Overlay, LatLng, Overlaylatlng. I used this to create a generic map event that would either retrieve the coordinates of the Map click event, or return the coordinates of a Marker or other type of Overlay. Now that API v3 doesn't return the Overlay or Overlaylatlng during the map click event, how can I go about creating a generic "click" event for the map that works if the user clicks on a marker or overlay? I really don't want to create a click event for each marker I have on my page as I am creating anywhere from a handful to a couple thousand markers. Also, I had to create a custom ImageMapType in order to display the StreetViewOverlay like we could do in v2 of the API because I couldn't find anywhere that told me how to add the StreetViewOverlay without the pegman icon. How can I go about retrieving the LatLng coordinates of a click on this overlay type as well?

I have seen the Xcode help but cant find any good example, also watched the CI video from 2013 conference How do i create a custom trigger script, so every time a developer commits their code it will automatically trigger the bot. How do I merge the code to master only if Test successfully passes the bot? • Custom constructors for models in Google App Engine (python)

  I'm getting back to programming for Google App Engine and I've found, in old, unused code, instances in which I wrote constructors for models. It seems like a good idea, but there's no mention of it online and I can't test to see if it works. Here's a contrived example, with no error-checking, etc.: class Dog(db.Model): name = db.StringProperty(required=True) breeds = db.StringListProperty() age = db.IntegerProperty(default=0) def __init__(self, name, breed_list, **kwargs): db.Model.__init__(**kwargs) self.name = name self.breeds = breed_list.split() rufus = Dog('Rufus', 'spaniel terrier labrador') rufus.put() The **kwargs are passed on to the Model constructor in case the model is constructed with a specified parent or key_name, or in case other properties (like age) are specified. This constructor differs from the default in that it requires that a name and breed_list be specified (although it can't ensure that they're strings), and it parses breed_list in a way that the default constructor could not. Is this a legitimate form of instantiation, or should I just use functions or static/class methods? And if it works, why aren't custom constructors used more often?

  I have ItemRenderers that need to listen for events. When they hear an event (and when data changes), they dispatch an event with their current data value. As item renderers are reused, each of them is going to add its callback in set data(value...)and pass the callback function in the event as well as the current data value. So, the listener of the item renderer's bubbling event will set someEventDispatcher.addEventListener("someEvent", itemRendererEvent.callbackListener). This will happen more than once. Does setting the same event listener on the same event for the same dispatcher waste resources? Does the displatcher see that it already has the listener?

  Hello, I need to implement mechanism that compares two business objects and return the list of differences (past value, new value, isDifferenceBetter). Because not all fields of class has to be compared and one fields need to be compared with different function then the other (sometimes < is better sometimes is better ... ) I figured out that I need to implelemnt custom attribute and give it to each field that has to be compared in this object. This attribute must have: - name - delegate or sth to point to the function which would be applied for comparision (dont know how to do it so far) So could anyone suggest me if its a good idea? Maybe any other ideas. Using attributes I would be able to use refflection to iterate through each field with attribute and invoke needed delegate. thanks for help bye

• Custom changeable handler when a Service finishes downloading a file

  I have a Service that downloads a file from the internet. What I want is for the response (an InputStream in this case) to be handled by a custom handler that can be switched (like a strategy pattern) but I can't figure out how to do this. So basically the User of the API would be able to plug in different handlers for the response, some would parse XML, others might save files etc. I realise I could pass through the activity context and execute the method from this (given some interface) but I don't want to do this obviously, in case the Activity is closed in the meantime while the file is still downloaded. How might I do this?

• Custom service application - proxy stopped

  Ive created a custom service app using samples from Tony Bierman and MS. I can see the application in central admin, I can create a new service app from it, the create page works, the manage page is blank and I don't have a properties page. I havent yet tried using the beast, I just want to get the deployment and admin stuff working first. However, after creating it, I see the Service app has started but the app proxy is stopped. I dont know if this is a problem or not but I cant find anywhere to start it. Should I worry?

  I've created a custom UITableViewCell in IB, linked it to the root view controller's property for it, and set it up in CellForRowAtIndexPath. But the height of my drawn cells doesn't match what I setup in IB, advice? • Creating a custom format string in a dataGridView

  I have a dataGridView whose dataSource is a dataTable. My problem is that I want certain columns to be displayed in Hex. I can get that far with using something like this: foreach (DataGridViewColumn c in grid.Columns) { if (DISPLAYED_IN_HEX.Contains(c.Name)) { c.DefaultCellStyle.Format = "X"; } } My issue though is that I want this hex value prepended with 0x so as not to confuse anyone that they are in hexidecimal form. The values in the dataTable are various integral types. I looked into creating a custom IFormatProvider, but I don't think my coding skills are up to that par yet. Any other possible solutions?

• Exchange 2003 mail non-delivery (NDR), spam activity? events 7002 & 7004

  Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server SP2 Exchange Version 6.5 (Build 7638.2: Service Pack 2) This network has been neglected and has been having email problems for years and was on many blacklists. I was called in after the server eventually crashed... I got the server back up and running, but email problems persist. Outgoing mail delivery is sporadic. Sometimes the mail goes through, sometimes a delayed delivery report is generated after a day or more, and sometimes it seems to go through, but the recipient never receives it. Not sure if spammers are successfully using the server as a relay (see event entries below after turning on maximum SMTP logging)... User PCs infected with viruses and server was blacklisted on many sites (I used mxtoolbox.com) I have cleaned all the PCs and changed all passwords (including administrator) I have requested removal from all of the blacklists - most have removed the listing, some take more time. I have setup rDNS pointer records with the ISP (Comcast) - that was one reason for some of the blacklistings. I have tested that it's not an open relay using telnet as described here: www.amset.info/exchange/smtp-openrelay.asp I followed the advise of a Spamhaus & Microsoft article to enable maximum SMTP logging. http://www.spamhaus.org/faq/answers.lasso?section=isp%20spam%20issues#320 which directed me to Microsoft KB article 895853, specifically, the part 2/3 down titled: "If mail relay occurs from an account on an Exchange computer that is not configured as an open relay" . The Application Event Log is filling with this type of activity (Event ID 7002, 7002 & 3018 errors): Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeTransport Event Category: SMTP Protocol Event ID: 7004 Date: 1/18/2011 Time: 7:33:29 AM User: N/A Computer: SERVER Description: This is an SMTP protocol error log for virtual server ID 1, connection #621. The remote host "212.52.84.180", responded to the SMTP command "rcpt" with "550 #5.1.0 Address rejected [email protected] ". The full command sent was "RCPT TO: ". This will probably cause the connection to fail. and this: Event Type: Warning Event Source: MSExchangeTransport Event Category: SMTP Protocol Event ID: 7002 Date: 1/18/2011 Time: 7:33:29 AM User: N/A Computer: SERVER Description: This is an SMTP protocol warning log for virtual server ID 1, connection #620.   I want a plugin for joomla like jforms or chronoforms in order to make a form to upload videos along with other custom fields to db and manage them. The only problem is I want this functionality to be made from inside the administrator console and not to appear on a page at my site's frontend. My site does not have a login service , so I need to make the admin able to login to administration panel and from there to upload and manage videos. Luckily when the domain layer was built, we used a code generator. The main issue that I am running into now is that every collection is hidden behind a custom class that derives from List<. For example public class League { public OwnerList owners {get;set;} } public class OwnerList : AppList<Owner> { } public class AppList<T> : List<T> { } What kind of Convention do I have to write to get this done?

• Creating custom model using other models in ASP.NET MVC

  As the title suggests I have two models Products And Orders which are actually two table in my database and I have used a LINQ to SQL class to create there models. Now I wan to create a model named "OrderDetails" which will have properties from both the model like product name and id from product and Order number from orders something like this. An then I want to create a view from this custom model and from which I want to add "CRUD" operation. What should be my approach. And in many scenarios I may have to use data from more than 4 models. Please help. I'm wondering helplessly and I have only two days experience in ASP.NET MVC.
