• MVC Forms Authentication with custom database

  I'm trying to get forms authentication working for an mvc site. I have a custom database with a users table, and I would like to do my own password validation. I am logging in my user like this: if (PasswordHasher.Hash(password) == dataUser.Password) { FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(email, true); return true; } The problem is, when the session expires obviously the user has to login again. I am thinking I should be storing this Auth cookie in my users table? Update: I'm obviously in desperate need of more education in this area. I just noticed that the user stays authenticated even after an iisreset. I guess what I'm asking is how can I get persistent and non persistent authentication working properly. I want a user to not have to login again if they click "remember", and if they don't then their authentication should expire when the forms authentication is set to expire.

• Custom inputAccessoryView push my UITableView first row partially off the screen

  Hi For my scenario, I have a UITableView with a UITextField for the first row. While I try to set custom toolbar for keyboard with UITextField.inputAccessoryView, it pushed my first row of textfield partially off the screen. This is not happening if I avoid adding the toolbar. Refer screen shot below: I tried with NSNotification with keyboardWillShow by reposition to first row of the tableview, but it just look awkward for the table pulling out and in. It might be something to do overriding UITableView/UIScrollView, but I am out of idea how to do this. Would like to know how you guys resolve this. Thanks you!

• Exchange 2003 mail non-delivery (NDR), spam activity? events 7002 & 7004

  Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server SP2 Exchange Version 6.5 (Build 7638.2: Service Pack 2) This network has been neglected and has been having email problems for years and was on many blacklists. I was called in after the server eventually crashed... I got the server back up and running, but email problems persist. Outgoing mail delivery is sporadic. Sometimes the mail goes through, sometimes a delayed delivery report is generated after a day or more, and sometimes it seems to go through, but the recipient never receives it. Not sure if spammers are successfully using the server as a relay (see event entries below after turning on maximum SMTP logging)... User PCs infected with viruses and server was blacklisted on many sites (I used mxtoolbox.com) I have cleaned all the PCs and changed all passwords (including administrator) I have requested removal from all of the blacklists - most have removed the listing, some take more time. I have setup rDNS pointer records with the ISP (Comcast) - that was one reason for some of the blacklistings. I have tested that it's not an open relay using telnet as described here: www.amset.info/exchange/smtp-openrelay.asp I followed the advise of a Spamhaus & Microsoft article to enable maximum SMTP logging. http://www.spamhaus.org/faq/answers.lasso?section=isp%20spam%20issues#320 which directed me to Microsoft KB article 895853, specifically, the part 2/3 down titled: "If mail relay occurs from an account on an Exchange computer that is not configured as an open relay" . The Application Event Log is filling with this type of activity (Event ID 7002, 7002 & 3018 errors): Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeTransport Event Category: SMTP Protocol Event ID: 7004 Date: 1/18/2011 Time: 7:33:29 AM User: N/A Computer: SERVER Description: This is an SMTP protocol error log for virtual server ID 1, connection #621.   I've created a custom UITableViewCell in IB, linked it to the root view controller's property for it, and set it up in CellForRowAtIndexPath. But the height of my drawn cells doesn't match what I setup in IB, advice? • Custom add_action('save_post') causes html markup to disappear!

  I've added a custom "save_post" action to my theme (code is below). However, when I place images or video code in the post, its stripped away. The only way I can get it to stay is to comment out the add_action line. • Can an XML prolog contain custom information?

  Is it legal to add additional custom information somewhere in an XML prolog? For example, in my case, I would like to add an indicator of which serialiser version was used to create the XML, so that clients receiving the XML could automatically select the correct corresponding de-serialiser. I could add the information as an attribute of the root tag, but I thought it would be cleaner to add the information in the prolog, like the standard XML version: <?xml version="1.0"?> something like: <?serialiser version="1.0"?> or is the prolog reserved purely for those things specified by W3C?

The window I want to create is similar to MacOs window, with title centered (with dropshadow effect), and controls button on left side of the window. I did create a bordless window, but some questions I have: 1 - How can I set it functionality of maximize, minimize and close buttons in XAML (if it's possible)? 2 - How can I define a window template so every new window I create have the same look and feel? 3 - Is it possible to create the Aqua maximize, minimize and close buttons using only elements from WPF (without using images)? • UIButton not getting touch events inside a custom UITableViewCell

  Hi! I have designed a custom UItableView Cell in IB. This cell has a UIButton with an associated action. This button is not getting touch events, however the cell itself gets the events when called. What could I be doing wrong here. +--------------------------------+ | +----------+ | Cell | Button | | +----------+ +--------------------------------+ When I tap on the Button tableviewcell gets the events. What could be wrong? EDIT: I just checked, that UIButton is also getting touch events, but so is the UITableViewCell. And at then end of it the action associated with UIButton is not getting called.

I have an ArrayList of custom objects that have the following properties: FileName FilePath CurrentFolder TopLevelFolder I then need to do a BinarySearch (or some other quick search) on the FileName property on all the objects in the ArrayList in .NET. In other words, I need to find the object in the ArrayList with the same FileName as the one I'm searching on. • Java: PriorityQueue returning incorrect ordering from custom comparator??

  I've written a custom comparator to compare my node classes, but the java priority queue is not returning my items in the correct order. Here is my comparator: public int compare(Node n1, Node n2){ if (n1.getF() > n2.getF()){ return +1; } else if (n1.getF() < n2.getF()){ return -1; } else { // equal return 0; } } Where getF returns a double.   I'm attempting to write a custom MarkupExtension to make my life easier by giving me a better way to specify bindings in XAML. However I would like to know if there is any way I can access the object that represents the file the MarkupExtension is used in. In other words, suppose I have a UserControl that defines a particular rendition of a data model of my program. This control has lots of visual stuff like grids, borders and general layout. If I use my MarkupExtension on a particular property of some element in this UserControl, I want to access the instance of the UserControl, without knowing what type it is (I plan on using reflection). Is this at all possible?

• Using Custom Generic Collection faster with objects than List

  I'm iterating through a List<> to find a matching element. The problem is that object has only 2 significant values, Name and Link (both strings), but has some other values which I don't want to compare. I'm thinking about using something like HashSet (which is exactly what I'm searching for -- fast) from .NET 3.5 but target framework has to be 2.0. There is something called Power Collections here: http://powercollections.codeplex.com/, should I use that? But maybe there is other way? If not, can you suggest me a suitable custom collection?

  I have a string column which contains some numeric fields, but a lot are 0, empty string or null. The rest are numbers having different range, all positive. I tried to create a custom order by. The order would be done by two fields. First I would like to order the fields that have this number 0 and then sort by name. So something this would work: select * from table order by sign(referenceid) desc, name asc; But Sqlite lacks the sign() -1/0/1 function, and I am on Android and I can't create user defined functions. What other options I have to get this sort done.

The Access application I'm working with is connected to a SQL Server backend (connected, not just linked tables). As I understand it, the USysRibbons table needs to exist in the Access application itself, and not in a connected SQL Server. How does one go about creating a table in an Access application that is already linked to a SQL Server? I tried creating the table in a blank database and then importing it into the Access application without any luck.

  One of my colleagues doesn't like to use HTML classes and ids for javascript/jQuery purpose. Therefore I've seen that he had created custom html attribute such as <div id="myid" class="cssClasses ..." [some-purpose-id]="mycustomId">...</div> I asked him if it was really a good idea and he replied that he considers that classes and Ids should be reserved for styling. Personally, I would have used classes. Some classes would have been used for styling, and some other classes would have been used for programming (jQuery selectors). The idea is to keep things appart also. And of course jQuery could set styling classes but if possible not use them for selection. Of course I also use id when appropriate but since an id is unique on a page, I like to do generic stuff using classes. I would like to know you opinions on the better approach (if there is one). The widget gets loaded fine,the properties appear in QT Designer, Only problem is every time I change the property of Alpha key,the numeric also gets set, Though the accessor functions are different,and the enums are differnet and values are different. Also whenever i check the Form-view code,the values would have got modified.   Hello, I'm using JNDIRealm with Tomcat for authentication, which at the moment works fine. However, we do not store any roles in the LDAP, so all authenticated users are not returning any roles. This sends user's to an HTTP 401 failed authorization page. I'd like to assign an "Admin" role to any and all user's who authenticate successfully. Here is my fragment from my web.xml file. SecurityConstraint Resource Resource *.jsp GET POST Admin FORM login.jsp loginError.jsp Admin Should I be using a JAASRealm with custom LoginModule? After the realm calls the authenticate() method and returns success, should I override another method to explicitly set the RolePrincipal to "Admin" so that authorization succeeds? Please help!   I have a custom .Net DataService and can't figure out how to return the data for relationships. The data base has 2 tables (Customer, Address). A Customer can have multiple addresses, but each address can only have on customer. I'm using Dictionary<string,object> as my data type. My question, for the following 2 urls how do i return the data. http://localhost/DataService/Customer(1)/Address http://localhost/DataService/Address(1)/Customer For the none relational queries I return a List<Dictionary<string,object>> So I imagined for the relation I should just populate the element with a either a Dictionary<string,object> for the single ones and a List<Dictionary<string,object>> for many relationships. But this just gives me a NullRefferenceException So what am I doing wrong?

  Whats the best way to deploy several customized versions of a Android application? Currently I have a script to exchange the resource folder for getting a customized version of my app. It works great, but all custom versions still have the same package name in the AndroidManifest.xml. Therefore it is not possible to install two customized versions of the app at the same time. This is one solution for this problem, but that has to be done by hand Can you think of a more easy solution, or how this could be built into a skript? (btw: it is not for a porn/spam/whatever app, not even a paid one)

  Howdy - today a weird problem occured to me: I have a modle class in Django and added a custom property to it that shall not be saved into the database and therefore is not represent in the models structure: class Category(models.Model): groups = models.ManyToManyField(Group) title = defaultdict() Now, when I'm within the shell or writing a test and I do the following: c1 = Category.objects.create() c1.title['de'] = 'german title' print c1.title['de'] # prints "german title" c2 = Category.objects.create() print c2.title['de'] # prints "german title" <-- WTF? It seems that 'title' is kind of global. If I change title to a simple string it works as expected, so it has to do something with the dict?
