  • TFS 2008 Build and deploy to Inetpub web folder

    I have TFS2008 and have a build running, however, I want to automate the deployment of the build folder and place the build into the inetpub folder it belongs to. I.E.: Run Build After Build, automatically place the new built solution into Inetpub/wwwroot/websitefolder I have tried xcopy, robocopy and synctoy 2.1 and I cannot get any of them to work. Can anyone at all please help me with this dilemna? Thank you in advance

  • IE8 Randomly does not show background images of my divs

    I have this annoying problem driving me nuts, IE 8 randomly won't show background images of my divs. One minute it shows, then the next time it won't. Then I have to refresh the page 2-3 times for it to show. All my pages work fine on firefox, chrome. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Any solutions?

  • Is there a way to keep two videos synchronized in a webpage without plugins?

    Is there a way to use two HTML5 video tags on a page and keep the videos synchronized? Meaning that if the first video is at 15.2 seconds then the second video is at 15.2 seconds? I've looked around and found SMIL but it looks like that only works in IE. I also tried to implement something of my own with jQuery and jMediaElement but there appears to be a lot of cases where the videos can get out of sync. Has this been done before?

    To try to use a reason SSL/TLS session key timeout on the server-side, I'd like to know how long popular browsers cache session keys on the client. Microsoft describes this information for Windows/IE here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc776467(WS.10).aspx But, I haven't been able to find similar information for other popular browsers. Does anyone know? Thanks!

    I have a table that describes a variety of objects in my system (ie. umbrella, boots, satchel, whatever). Each one of these objects needs to have a distinct prevalence or incidence. For example, the umbrella is rarer than the boots. Based on those factors, I need to randomly select a single object (including a blank or 'no object found') based on that incidence value. Yikes. Make sense?

    I have an issue in firefox and not in IE, didn't think I'd hear myself say that one, where if I have an commented section in my html like so: <!--------------form---------------> <div id='form'> etc etc. </div> <!------------main content-----------------> The area in between the two comment tags is being completely struck out. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi, The default patch file viewer is messy (ie. no side by side diff view etc). I tried setting the path of beyondCompare exe in "Settings-Unified Diff Viewer-custom", but beyond compare also behaves same as default diff tool. Is there a way to atleast allow side by side diff in patch files ? If so, what is the method ? My aim is to allow emailing of changes so that they can be reviewed before I commit them :) Mishal

    My application requires the user to enter their business name, which the application will automatically create into a unique identifier to be used in URLs, ie "Bob's Cafe" will become "bobs-cafe" But if there are duplicate names I would like the application to add a number so if there is already a "bobs-cafe" we will use "bobs-cafe-1" and likewise if there is already a "bobs-cafe-1" we will use "bobs-cafe-2" Ive used explode and also looked at a regular expressions but I dont know the best way to approach this.     I wanted to add a tab to the user edit page ie user/%/edit/foo, and was using the twitter module as a model. After much spelunking and stepping through with a debugger, I realised that I needed to add a hook_user function in my module so that the %user_category part of the menu router path would work. It's now functioning as expected, but I don't really have a solid idea of what I just did, and haven't found a good explanation anywhere. Can anyone explain to me what it's about?

    I've got several script.aculo.us Ajax.Autocomplete controls on a page and when the drop down div is rendered it's always stuck behind the other text boxes on the page, no matter what I do with zIndex and positioning. The problem occurs in IE and FF. Anyone else run into this? Am I missing something, or is this just life with this control?

    I'm playing around with css transforms and the equivalent filters in IE, and want to simulate perspective by transforming a 2d rectangle into a trapezium. Specifically, I want the right hand side of the rectangle to stay the same height, and the left hand side to be say 80% of the height, so that the mid points of both sides are horizontally in line with each other. I'm familiar with matrix algebra, but can't think how to determine what matrix will do that.

    In your browser, when you want to save an HTML page that you are currently viewing, you normally go to the File menu and click Save As. Can I have a little button at the bottom of an HTML page that does the same thing? So instead of going to the File menu - Save As, I want my user to be able to click the button to save the page on to the disk.     Hey all.. I noticed that an application I am maintaining was giving me a javascript error in IE8 and FF. The script was trying to get a collection of frame elements: document.frames This always returned 'undefined'. I placed a watch on the document object and noticed that this collection does not seem to be a member of the document object in IE8. I think this was always the case in FF but this same code works in older versions of IE. Has this been removed? -Nick

  • Calling a function in an iframe from a parent in firefox

    I'm trying to call a function, test(), of an iframe from the parent document using the code subframe.test(); subframe refers correctly to the iframe, alert(subframe) returns [object HTMLIFrameElement], and the function runs in both IE7 and opera (9.23), but not firefox (3.0), chrome (3.0) or safari (3.03 beta windows). I assume these browsers support the functionality, so wondering if perhaps I'm using an incorrect call which IE and Opera support anyway, which wouldn't surprise me.
