    I have a date with a time. I'm using ruby, but the language shouldn't matter. d = "2010-04-01 13:00:00" What is the best way to format this date for Mongo DB? By 'best' I mean, is there a certain format I could use where Mongo would recognize it as a date and might give me more-advanced filtering optons? ie: If formatted correctly, could I ask Mongo to return all records whose month is '04'?     are there any alternatives to Xpath ? need to locate and extract specific element's texts for web scraping project. xpath seem pretty limited against layout changes on web pages. slight shuffle, and xpath no longer works. also different browsers have different Xpaths as i discovered. Firefox automatically adds tbody after table, while IE doesn't and so on.

    I did a system test on a new ASP.NET app. I encountered several exceptions when using the BACK button in my browser (IE 7). I stated in a review-record that the web-app must support the use of a BACK button (or at least handle it gracefully with for example session-time out warnings). The teamlead did not agree with me as he stated that a web-app should not support working with the back-button by default. Do you agree?

  • aspx listbox control

    i tried to extend the listbox control and override its RenderEndTag method. everything works well if i used the control directly in a webapage. ie, the RenderEndTag is called. but when i try to put the control in a WebUserControl and use the webusercontorl in a webpage, the RenderEndTag of the extended control is not called. this is strange because the constructor is being called but the RenderEndTag method is not! any ideas about fixing the issue?

  • Float: left not showing up after a certain point.

    http://test.jptgraphics.com/products?cat=APPAREL This works fine in Safari but shows incorrectly in the latest version of Firefox ( was fine in 3.5) and in some versions of IE. In the middle column the product thumbnails drop down below when the 'float: left;' parameter is used. It is as if it is being escaped by a tag from that point forward no 'float: left's work and all the items are centered moving forward.

    Hi there, Time to ask an odd question. window.print(); Prints only one page of 2 pages in IE8 & IE7 even the same prints both pages in FF. Now if I cancel the print dialog and just go to File - Print I get both pages in both IE & FF. window.print(); is included in ONLOAD Any idea why? Thanks Babak

    Hello, I have a situation where I'd like to set an onload handler for a script element, but it is possible that the script element has already loaded before I do so. If it's already loaded, I'd like to detect that and run my handler immediately. What would be a reliable way of checking a script element's onload state after the fact? BTW I know that IE uses readyState instead of an onload event so I don't need help for that.

  • How to get Cocoa Emacs to jump to line number from external application?

    When using Carbon Emacs (v22) from an external application (ex. Unity 3D) files sent to Carbon Emacs would jump to the line number requested by the external application (ie. double click on an error message editor selected in preferences is started with file at error line number). For some reason the new Cocoa Emacs (v23) no longer does this. Instead it simply opens the file, but does not jump to the line number requested by the external application.

But I want to capture this information in string. How do I do this?   • Select a random row from table, but with odds?

    I have a table that describes a variety of objects in my system (ie. umbrella, boots, satchel, whatever). Each one of these objects needs to have a distinct prevalence or incidence. For example, the umbrella is rarer than the boots. Based on those factors, I need to randomly select a single object (including a blank or 'no object found') based on that incidence value. Yikes.   • TFS 2008 Build and deploy to Inetpub web folder

    I have TFS2008 and have a build running, however, I want to automate the deployment of the build folder and place the build into the inetpub folder it belongs to. I.E.: Run Build After Build, automatically place the new built solution into Inetpub/wwwroot/websitefolder I have tried xcopy, robocopy and synctoy 2.1 and I cannot get any of them to work. Can anyone at all please help me with this dilemna? Thank you in advance
