• Difficulty accessing Google Search API with Flex

  Hi - I am trying to get the number of incoming links to a page through the Google Search API. • Is Objective C fast enough for DSP/audio programming

  I've been making some progress with audio programming for iPhone. Now I'm doing some performance tuning, trying to see if I can squeeze more out of this little machine. Running Shark, I see that a significant part of my cpu power (16%) is getting eaten up by objc_msgSend. I understand I can speed this up somewhat by storing pointers to functions (IMP) rather than calling them using [object message] notation. But if I'm going to go through all this trouble, I wonder if I might just be better off using C++. Any thoughts on this?

• Instruments memory leak iphone

  Hi, I posted this problem a few days ago but it was very muddled and my question wasnt very clear so I removed it. I've been digging around and the memory leak is still persiting. Hopefully this attempt will be clearer. First off I've run the static analyzer and it reports no memory leaks. I then ran Instruments and it pointed to a memory leak at this line of code. • Failure connecting to Dell MD3200i from XenServer 6.2 pool

  This question also asked at Citrix Forums http://forums.citrix.com/thread.jspa?threadID=332289 I have a MD3200i that is currently working fine with my Xen5.6 pool, but I cannot get a connection to the new 6.2 pool to work. I previously had a problem with a 6.0 upgrade (which is why the old pool is still on 5.6), but rolled back rather than fix it as it wasn't urgent at the time. This install is on new machines - I tried 6.1 first (which had the same problems) then 6.2 was released the second day after installation so I switched to that. I've not installed anything from the Dell resource DVD at this point - I can't find anything saying I should, and everything I have read suggests it shouldn't be necessary. I can ping all 8 ip addresses from both servers in the pool, iscsiadm -m discovery works fine, I can login to the nodes and iscsiadm reports the sessions active correctly. I've added the required sections to multipath.conf, but multipath -ll reports DM multipath kernel driver not loaded immediately after boot.   Im learning Mockito and in chapter 16 they say you should not use partial mocking in new system. I disagree, for example in one of my actions i use partial mocking for static framework methods, sql calls, etc. I extracted the stuff into methods and then mock it in tests. Most of those methods are specific to this action and wont be call from other actions, so it not worth to extract special components. I agree that you shouldn't using partial mocking in frameworks, but not in hard to mock actions. What are minuses of using partial mocking in web-app?

• OpenSwan IPsec connection drops after 30 seconds

  I'm trying to connection from my Linux Mint 16 box to a CloudStack server. Building up the connection works (pings work across the tunnel). However 30 seconds later the IPsec tunnel gets terminated out of the blue. What could cause this consistent behaviour and how to fix it? The tunnel is setup using OpenSwan (U2.6.38/K(no kernel code presently loaded)) with the L2TP IPsec VPN manager from Werner Jaeger 1.0.9. The client is behind a NAT'ed router and the server is on public IP (CloudStack 4.2) Running ipsec verify complains about IPsec support in kernel.   I have to different ISPs, each on each own network. The main connects via ethernet and the secondary via wifi. The two networks have no relation at all. I just connect to them simultaneously. The reason I want to load balance between them is to achieve higher Internet speeds. Note: I have no advanced network hardware. • How do I change the frame position for a custom MKAnnotationView?

  I am trying to make a custom annotation view by subclassing MKAnnotationView and overriding the drawRect method. I want the view to be drawn offset from the annotation's position, somewhat like MKPinAnnotationView does it, so that the point of the pin is at the specified coordinates, rather than the middle of the pin. So I set the frame position and size as shown below. However, it doesn't look like I can affect the position of the frame at all, only the size. The image ends up being drawn centered over the annotation position. Any tips on how to achieve what I want? • script running very slow in IE with Jquery quickflip plug-in

  I have a jQuery plugin running on my site that is executing very, very slowly in IE7/8 to the point that it throws a slow script warning to the user. It doesn't happen in any other browser, and I can't figure out what might be going on. If you go to this page: http://dev.xeetic.org/projects You'll see that there are 16 results on each page, and each one has a "flip" behavior attached, using the jQuery plugin "quickflip." Attaching this behavior is very slow in IE. If I reduce the result set to 8 or 4 per page, it's faster, but still very bogged down. I have contacted the author of the script with no success. I am willing to pay for a solution, if I'm allowed to offer such a thing on this site.

• Export JPG out of Dicom File With mDCM

  Hello, I'm using mDCM with C# to view dicom tags, but I'm trying to convert the pixel data to a Bitmap and eventually out to a JPG file. I have read all of the posts on the mDCM Google Group on the subject and all of the code examples either don't work or are missing important lines of code. The image I am working with is a 16 bit monochrome1. I have tried using LockBits, SetPixel, and unsafe code in order to convert the pixel data to a Bitmap but all attempts fail. Does anyone have any code that could make this work. Thanks in advance P.S. Before anyone suggests trying something else like ClearCanvas, know that mDCM is the only library that suits my needs and ClearCanvas is WAY too bloated for what I need to do.
