  • How can I diagnose a "502 Bad Gateway" response from an Apache/Tomcat configuration?

    - by Structure
    I just finished up configuring a fairly default configuration of Tomcat. My Apache configuration was pre-existing and post-tomcat it still has no issues. I am using mod_jk to (if I am saying this correctly) interface between Apache and Tomcat and have my conf files setup for my workers, etc. I put my test file (Simply: http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-4.1-doc/appdev/sample/web/hello.jsp) into my tomcat/webapps/ directory and then call it via http://localhost/test/hello.jsp. From here Apache returns a "502 Bad Gateway" response. I confirmed this via the Apache logs, but beyond that I have no idea how to diagnose the issue. I assume the 502 is because Tomcat did not respond. I'd like to confirm if Tomcat received the request, but cannot locate the log file. At this point I had thought my installation was complete, so not sure where to go from here. Any input would be appreciated.

  • Is it possible to rewrite some query strings to HTTPS and keep everything else on HTTP?

    - by Matt
    I'm rewriting query strings to pretty URIs, example: index.php?q=/en/contact becomes /en/contact and all works nicely.. # httpd.conf # HANDLE THE QUERY RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA] Is it even possible to rewrite single queries to force https and force everything else onto http? I've tried many different approaches that typically end in infinate loops. I could write a plugin to do this in PHP but figured it would be more effecient to handle this in the server conf. I'd be greatful for any advice. EDIT: To clarify, I'd like to be able to rewrite the non SSL http://example.com/index.php?q=/en/contact to the SSL enabled https://example.com/en/contact and every query that is not /en/contact get written to http://example.com/...

  • PHP5 giving failed to open stream: HTTP request failed error when using fopen.

    - by mickey
    Hello everyone. This problem seems to have been discussed in the past everywhere on google and here, but I have yet to find a solution. A very simple fopen gives me a PHP Warning: fopen(http://www.google.ca): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed!". The URL I am fetching have no importance because even when I fetch http://www.google.com it doesnt work. The exact same script works on different server. The one failing is Ubuntu 10.04 and PHP 5.3.2. This is not a problem in my script, it's something different in my server or it might be a bug in PHP. I have tried using a user_agent in php.ini but no success. My allow_url_fopen is set to On. If you have any ideas, feel free!

  • Is it possible to have a portable plotter that can print QR codes on burlap?

    - by Brian Ballsun-Stanton
    This is a hardware question. Is there a class of plotters that are portable and accept sharpies? The use case: I have a burlap sack. It will be taking very specific potsherds from an archaeological dig. It needs an indelible QR code (or bar code) printed on the burlap. (Stickers have far far too short a lifetime). It was my thought that a plotter that uses sharpies and that works in the field would be the optimal solution for this problem. Is a portable plotter the right solution? If so, who makes them? If not, what is a better solution?

  • Possible to redirect from HTTPS to HTTP behind load-balancer?

    - by Derek Hunziker
    I have a basic ASP.NET application that sits behind an F5 load-balancer. Incoming SSL requests (over HTTPS) terminate at the load-balancer and all internal communication between the load-balancer and my application servers is unsecure (over HTTP). When a unsecure request comes in, my app is able to use Response.Redirect("https://...") to redirect a secure URL with no problems. However, the other direction appears to be impossible - I cannot redirect from HTTPS to HTTP using Response.Redirect() from my application. The URL remains HTTPS for the client and does not change. Could the F5 be preventing the redirect for ever reaching the client? Is there any special configuration necessary to let this happen?

  • using modrewrite to change http to https? (not redirect)

    - by PaulHanak
    This might sound a little crazy, but bare with me. I basically have an include file, lets say inc-navigation.html, that has absolute paths (http://www.pathtoimage.com/image.com) that are on EVERY PAGE. Well, using SSL, I can't use that same include file because it is not referencing https:// What a pain! SO, I was maybe thinking of using htaccess to do a url rewrite of all references of HTTP to HTTPS when the browser requests a https page. Again, just to be clear, I don't want to "redirect", just "replace". So, I have this.... RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteRule ^http$ https but it doesn't seem to be working. I probably have the syntax wrong though. :) Of course, this is even if this type of thing is even possible!?

  • HTTP Subdomain Redirect to HTTPS automatically. Why?

    - by user139062
    I have 2 websites deployed in IIS 7.5 Express. The first website is the PRODUCTION website and the second is the TEST website. In the PRODUCTION website, I added an HTTPS binding and Require SSL so it is normal that it will force to redirect from HTTP to HTTPS. In the TEST website, I didn't add HTTPS binding and the Require SSL is disabled but I wonder why it still force to redirect from HTTP to HTTPS. Any idea why this happen? By the way, the PRODUCTION site uses the main domain (www.maindomain.com) and the TEST site uses only sub-domain (test.maindomain.com). I don't want the sub-domain to only use HTTP, not HTTPS. Thank you in advance.

  • Google App Engine application instance recycling and response times...

    - by Konrad
    Hi, I posted this on GAE for Java group, but I hope to get some answers here quicker :) I decided to do some long-run performance tests on my application. I created some small client hitting app every 5-30 minutes and I run 3-5 of threads with such client. I noticed huge differenced in response times and started to investigate issue. I found reason very quick. I am experiencing same issues as described in following topics: Uneven response time between connection to server to first byte sent Application instances seem to be too aggressively recycled Getting 'Request was aborted after waiting too long to attempt to service your request.' after application idle I am using Springframework, it tkes around 18-20s to start app instance, which is causing response times to take from 1s (when requests hits running app - very rare) to 22s when fresh application is created. Is there any solution for this? I was thinking about creating most basic servlet performing critical tasks (serving API call) and leave UI as is. But then I would loose all benefits of Springframework. Is there any solution for this? After solving (hacking) numerous constrains of App Engine which I hit while developing my app that is the one I think will make me move out of App Engine... that's simply to much to all the time think how to win with GAE problems than how to solve my application problems... Any help? Regards Konrad

  • how to know which response data is associated with its requested url (using RollingCurl.php) ?

    - by Ken
    I am writing a web application that grabs the http response headers from multiple sites (with RollingCurl.php) then stores it in an array and at the end outputs it in json format. Since some sites do redirects to new locations, $info (array) in “request_callback” function always has an url ($info[‘url’]) where the requested url was redirect.to, and it’s quite expected. But how to put a requested url in $info ($info[‘requested_url’]) and to know which $info (response data) is associated with its requested url? $urls = array( ‘http://google.com’, ‘http://microsoft.com’ // more urls here ); $json = array(); if ( $urls ) { $rc = new RollingCurl("request_callback"); $rc->window_size = 20; foreach ($urls as $url) { $request = new Request($url); $rc->add($request); } $rc->execute(); echo json_encode($json); } function request_callback($response, $info) { global $json; $json['status'][] = $info; } from RollingCurl.php: // send the return values to the callback function. $callback = $this->callback; if (is_callable($callback)){ $info[‘requested_url’] = ??? // How to put requested url here??? call_user_func($callback, $output, $info); }

  • HttpURLConnection: What's the deal with having to read the whole response?

    - by stormin986
    My current problem is very similar to this one. I have a downloadFile(URL) function that creates a new HttpURLConnection, opens it, reads it, returns the results. When I call this function on the same URL multiple times, the second time around it almost always returns a response code of -1 (But throws no exception!!!). The top answer in that question is very helpful, but there are a few things I'm trying to understand. So, if setting http.keepAlive to false solves the problem, it indicates what exactly? That the server is responding in a way that violates the http protocol? Or more likely, my code is violating the protocol in some way? What will the trace tell me? What should I look for? And what's the deal with this: You need to read everything from error stream. Otherwise, it's going to confuse next connection and that's the cause of -1. Does this mean if the response is some type of error (which would be what response code(s)?), the stream HAS to be fully read? Also, every time I am attempting an http request I am basically creating a new connection, and then disconnect()ing it at the end. However, in my case I'm not getting a 401 or whatever. It's always a 200. But my second connection almost always fails. Does this mean there's some other data I should be reading that I'm not (in a similar manner that the error stream must be fully read)? Please help shed some light on this? I feel like there's some fundamental http protocol understanding I'm missing.

  • jquery ajax html response change 1.3.2 vs 1.4.2 (aka where is my script tag?)

    - by cmroanirgo
    I've been using jquery 1.3.2 to pull snippets of html (including script) from a server. A typical response might be: <div id="content"<div id="inner"... <script type=... alert("hello world");</script <pHello World</p </div</div I've been using the query .get function: $.get($(this).attr("href"), function(response) { $("#inner").replaceWith($("#inner", response)); }); And everything is fine and works as expected: the returned html snippets get loaded into the DOM and the scripts run. When I use 1.4.2 however, I notice that the script tags have been removed and no longer run. Stepping into the newer jquery codebase yields the lines of code (line 4498) : ret.splice.apply( ret, [i + 1, 0].concat(jQuery.makeArray(ret[i].getElementsByTagName("script"))) ); which seems to be the culprit 'removing' the script from its happy resting place as part of the selector process. But it doesn't help me in injecting exactly what i want into the DOM. Any idea why jquery is doing this? More importantly, how can I go about fixing this so that my scripts run?

  • Facebook, Yimg and google-analytics CDNs is freaking me out

    - by Millisami
    Hi, Its been a couple of weeks that some sites just keeps on hanging. e.g. Facebooks = static.ak.fbcdn.net FLicker = l.yimg.com GoogleAnalytics I've googled and found many problems like this and some answers which are outdated or just doesn't solve the problem. I did: Cookies clearing, ran cc cleaner and several other nifty methods. None solved my problem?? Only with facebook, if I enter https:// manually instead of http:// on every url on facebook, it works and when it does the redirection to http://, everytime I have to type 's' on the address bar to make it https:// It is driving me nuts coz I'm developing Facebook App and this problem in being pain in my ass. What might be the reason for these CDNs hanging behaviour?? Update: Mon Feb 8, 2010 Well when I viewed the source with firefox, this is the header part: <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zDO0B/hash/8jpbog60.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zA96O/hash/8jqnsh63.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z9X8U/hash/5zy5e7ns.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z7XWB/hash/b881ctjq.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zEMLE/hash/6n3druoq.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zEEQQ/hash/3et16vbl.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zF0BN/hash/4ey03a8b.css" /> #<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zD46U/hash/4ctxkmr7.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z5KPU/hash/f92tjc5l.js"></script> When I clicked the each link, all links open with its contents except the last link with -# sign prefixed. So the url -#http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zD46U/hash/4ctxkmr7.css is not opening and this css file is not downloaded and the facebook page looks horrible and all left aligned?? Update: Tue Feb 9, 2010 Today the link with the -# sign is just keeps hanging and looping: <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zEMLE/hash/6n3druoq.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z9X8U/hash/5zy5e7ns.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zF0BN/hash/4ey03a8b.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z1580/hash/4l5utauj.css" /> #<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z4851/hash/532htj7z.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z1GEW/hash/dh01t0zv.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z80UK/hash/3a6o59ih.css" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/zD46U/hash/4ctxkmr7.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net/rsrc.php/z5KPU/hash/f92tjc5l.js"></script> Why that url http://b.static.ak.fbcdn.net acting weird? • o write a C++ program to encrypt and decrypt certain codes.

    - by Amber
    Step 1: Write a function int GetText(char[],int); which fills a character array from a requested file. That is, the function should prompt the user to input the filename, and then read up to the number of characters given as the second argument, terminating when the number has been reached or when the end of file is encountered. The file should then be closed. The number of characters placed in the array is then returned as the value of the function. Every character in the file should be transferred to the array. Whitespace should not be removed. When testing, assume that no more than 5000 characters will be read. The function should be placed in a file called coding.cpp while the main will be in ass5.cpp. To enable the prototypes to be accessible, the file coding.h contains the prototypes for all the functions that are to be written in coding.cpp for this assignment. (You may write other functions. If they are called from any of the functions in coding.h, they must appear in coding.cpp where their prototypes should also appear. Do not alter coding.h. Any other functions written for this assignment should be placed, along with their prototypes, with the main function.) Step 2: Write a function int SimplifyText(char[],int); which simplifies the text in the first argument, an array containing the number of characters as given in the second argument, by converting all alphabetic characters to lower case, removing all non-alpha characters, and replacing multiple whitespace by one blank. Any leading whitespace at the beginning of the array should be removed completely. The resulting number of characters should be returned as the value of the function. Note that another array cannot appear in the function (as the file does not contain one). For example, if the array contained the 29 characters "The 39 Steps" by John Buchan (with the " appearing in the array), the simplified text would be the steps by john buchan of length 24. The array should not contain a null character at the end. Step 3: Using the file test.txt, test your program so far. You will need to write a function void PrintText(const char[],int, int); that prints out the contents of the array, whose length is the second argument, breaking the lines to exactly the number of characters in the third argument. Be warned that, if the array contains newlines (as it would when read from a file), lines will be broken earlier than the specified length. Step 4: Write a function void Caesar(const char[],int, char[],int); which takes the first argument array, with length given by the second argument and codes it into the third argument array, using the shift given in the fourth argument. The shift must be performed cyclicly and must also be able to handle negative shifts. Shifts exceeding 26 can be reduced by modulo arithmetic. (Is C++'s modulo operations on negative numbers a problem here?) Demonstrate that the test file, as simplified, can be coded and decoded using a given shift by listing the original input text, the simplified text (indicating the new length), the coded text and finally the decoded text. Step 5: The permutation cypher does not limit the character substitution to just a shift. In fact, each of the 26 characters is coded to one of the others in an arbitrary way. So, for example, a might become f, b become q, c become d, but a letter never remains the same. How the letters are rearranged can be specified using a seed to the random number generator. The code can then be decoded, if the decoder has the same random number generator and knows the seed. Write the function void Permute(const char[],int, char[],unsigned long); with the same first three arguments as Caesar above, with the fourth argument being the seed. The function will have to make up a permutation table as follows: To find what a is coded as, generate a random number from 1 to 25. Add that to a to get the coded letter. Mark that letter as used. For b, generate 1 to 24, then step that many letters after b, ignoring the used letter if encountered. For c, generate 1 to 23, ignoring a or b's codes if encountered. Wrap around at z. Here's an example, for only the 6 letters a, b, c, d, e, f. For the letter a, generate, from 1-5, a 2. Then a - c. c is marked as used. For the letter b, generate, from 1-4, a 3. So count 3 from b, skipping c (since it is marked as used) yielding the coding of b - f. Mark f as used. For c, generate, from 1-3, a 3. So count 3 from c, skipping f, giving a. Note the wrap at the last letter back to the first. And so on, yielding a - c b - f c - a d - b (it got a 2) e - d f - e Thus, for a given seed, a translation table is required. To decode a piece of text, we need the table generated to be re-arranged so that the right hand column is in order. In fact you can just store the table in the reverse way (e.g., if a gets encoded to c, put a opposite c is the table). Write a function called void DePermute(const char[],int, char[], unsigned long); to reverse the permutation cypher. Again, test your functions using the test file. At this point, any main program used to test these functions will not be required as part of the assignment. The remainder of the assignment uses some of these functions, and needs its own main function. When submitted, all the above functions will be tested by the marker's own main function. Step 6: If the seed number is unknown, decoding is difficult. Write a main program which: (i) reads in a piece of text using GetText; (ii) simplifies the text using SimplifyText; (iii) prints the text using PrintText; (iv) requests two letters to swap. If we think 'a' in the text should be 'q' we would type aq as input. The text would be modified by swapping the a's and q's, and the text reprinted. Repeat this last step until the user considers the text is decoded, when the input of the same letter twice (requesting a letter to be swapped with itself) terminates the program. Step 7: If we have a large enough sample of coded text, we can use knowledge of English to aid in finding the permutation. The first clue is in the frequency of occurrence of each letter. Write a function void LetterFreq(const char[],int, freq[]); which takes the piece of text given as the first two arguments (same as above) and returns in the 26 long array of structs (the third argument), the table of the frequency of the 26 letters. This frequency table should be in decreasing order of popularity. A simple Selection Sort will suffice. (This will be described in lectures.) When printed, this summary would look something like v x r s z j p t n c l h u o i b w d g e a q y k f m 168106 68 66 59 54 48 45 44 35 26 24 22 20 20 20 17 13 12 12 4 4 1 0 0 0 The formatting will require the use of input/output manipulators. See the header file for the definition of the struct called freq. Modify the program so that, before each swap is requested, the current frequency of the letters is printed. This does not require further calls to LetterFreq, however. You may use the traditional order of regular letter frequencies (E T A I O N S H R D L U) as a guide when deciding what characters to exchange. Step 8: The decoding process can be made more difficult if blank is also coded. That is, consider the alphabet to be 27 letters. Rewrite LetterFreq and your main program to handle blank as another character to code. In the above frequency order, space usually comes first.

  • Problem with script to add/delete from database

    - by Jason
    Ok - the user enters a product code, price and name using a form - the script then either adds it to the database or deletes it from the database. If the user is trying to delete a product that is not in the database they get a error message. Upon successful adding/deleting they also get a message. However, when I test it - I just get a blank page. Perl doesnt come up with any warnings, syntax errors or anything - says everything is fine... but I still just get a blank page. The script: #!/usr/bin/perl #c09ex5.cgi - saves data to and removes data from a database print "Content-type: text/html\n\n"; use CGI qw(:standard); use SDBM_File; use Fcntl; use strict; #declare variables my ($code, $name, $price, $button, $codes, $names, $prices); #assign values to variables $code = param('Code'); $name = param('Name'); $price = param('Price'); $button = param('Button'); ($code, $name, $price) = format_input(); ($codes, $names, $prices) = ($code, $name, $price); if ($button eq "Save") { add(); } elsif ($button eq "Delete") { remove(); } exit; sub format_input { $codes =~ s/^ +//; $codes =~ s/ +$//; $codes =~ tr/a-z/A-Z/; $codes =~ tr/ //d; $names =~ s/^ +//; $names =~ s/ +$//; $names =~ tr/ //d; $names = uc($names); $prices =~ s/^ +//; $prices =~ s/ +$//; $prices =~ tr/ //d; $prices =~ tr/$//d; } sub add { #declare variable my %candles; #open database, format and add record, close database tie(%candles, "SDBM_File", "candlelist", O_CREAT|O_RDWR, 0666) or die "Error opening candlelist. $!, stopped"; format_vars(); $candles{$codes} = "$names,$prices"; untie(%candles); #create web page print "<HTML>\n"; print "<HEAD><TITLE>Candles Unlimited</TITLE></HEAD>\n"; print "<BODY>\n"; print "<FONT SIZE=4>Thank you, the following product has been added.<BR>\n"; print "Candle: $codes $names $prices</FONT>\n"; print "</BODY></HTML>\n"; } #end add sub remove { #declare variables my (%candles, $msg); tie(%candles, "SDBM_File", "candlelist", O_RDWR, 0) or die "Error opening candlelist. $!, stopped"; format_vars(); #determine if the product is listed if (exists($candles{$codes})) { delete($candles{$codes}); $msg = "The candle $codes $names $prices has been removed."; } else { $msg = "The product you entered is not in the database"; } #close database untie(%candles); #create web page print "<HTML>\n"; print "<HEAD><TITLE>Candles Unlimited</TITLE></HEAD>\n"; print "<BODY>\n"; print "<H1>Candles Unlimited</H1>\n"; print "$msg\n"; print "</BODY></HTML>\n"; }

  • Write a C++ program to encrypt and decrypt certain codes.

  • Listen to Response on HTML Form embedded in GWT View?

    - by confile
    I have a HTML like the following: <div> <form> <input type="text" /> <button class="sendForm" value="Send form" /> </form> </div> <script> // post the form with Jquery post // register a callback that handles the response </script> I use this type of form a lot with a JavaScript/JQuery overlay that displays the form. That could be handled for example with plugins like FancyBox. I also want to use this form embedded into a GWT view. Lets assume that the for cannot be created on client side because it has some server based markup language inside to set up some model data. If I want to use this form in GWT I have to do the following. Tell GWT the form request url and use a RequestBuilder to query the html content of this form. Then I can insert it into a div generated by GWT. So far so good. Problem: When the user hits the send button the response is handled my the JQuery callback that is inside the script under the form. Is there a way to access this callback from within GWT? Is there a way to overwrite the JQuery send action? Since, the code is HTML and comes from the server I cannot place ui-binder UiFields inside to get access to these DOM elements. I need to get the response if the submitted form accessible to GWT. Is there a way how I can achieve this with JSNI?

  • Unexpected results when looking at ASCII codes in C++.

    - by Columbo
    Hello, The bit of code below is extracting ASCII codes from characters. When I convert characters in the normal ASCII region I get the value I expect. When I convert £ and € from the extened region I get a load of 1's padding the INT that I'm storing the character in. e.g. the output of the below is: 45 (ascii E as expected) FFFFFF80 (extended ascii € as expected but padded with ones) It's not causing me an issue but I'm just wondering why this happens. Here's the code... unsigned int asciichar[3]; string cTextToEncode = "E€"; for (unsigned int i = 0; i < cTextToEncode.length(); i++) { asciichar[i] = (unsigned int)cTextToEncode[i]; cout << hex << asciichar[i] << "\n"; } Can anyone explain why this is? Thanks

  • How would I combine these two codes, PHP and HTML?

    - by user1887109
    This is what I have currently: <html> <body oncontextmenu="return false;" bgcolor="5385ab"> <p align=center><a href="test.php"><img src="image.png"/></a></p> </body> </html> I need the <body> part and to combine this PHP geo-redirect code with "test.php" also including the "image.png" Here is the PHP code: <?php require_once("geoip.inc"); $gi = geoip_open("/var/lib/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat",GEOIP_STANDARD); $country_code = geoip_country_code_by_addr($gi, $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']); geoip_close($gi); if($country_code == 'FR') { header('Location: http://www.test.php'); } else { header('Location: http://www.yahoo.com/'); } ?> I'm not familiar with PHP so I have no idea how to even go about testing these two together. Hope you can help! Thank you.

  • Hosting a website on Heroku.... I know how to, but im running into problems!

    - by Thomas Miller
    I'm starting to learn more on the back-end scale of programing. Recently I started up Heroku for the second or third time. This time I actually installed the Git update to my Mac and installed Heroku in the terminal. I wanted to upload a static html site with the sinatra gem. Everything worked out fine inside the terminal, though I added sinatra after I got everything working and the file with the site hooked up to Heroku. In my logs I did see that I was missing the sinatra gem, so I installed it. My site contains both the proper app.rb and config.ru files. I have nothing showing up online. Just a blank screen! Contacting Heroku on this problem has been very difficult. I get a responce every day, and on every day I respond with a question to the answer that didn't help me at all. 2011-05-18T00:25:20+00:00 app[web.1]: 71.198.0.51 - - [17/May/2011 17:25:20] "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1" 404 18 0.0008 2011-05-18T00:25:20+00:00 heroku[router]: GET pxlc.heroku.com/favicon.ico dyno=web.1 queue=0 wait=0ms service=2ms bytes=313 2011-05-18T00:25:26+00:00 app[web.1]: 71.198.0.51 - • Lost parameter calling WS from PHP

    - by Zyd
    Hi, I'm trying to call this WS from PHP: namespace WsInteropTest { /// <summary> /// Summary description for Service1 /// </summary> [WebService(Namespace = "http://advantage-security.com/")] [WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)] [System.ComponentModel.ToolboxItem(false)] // To allow this Web Service to be called from script, using ASP.NET AJAX, uncomment the following line. // [System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService] public class TestWs : System.Web.Services.WebService { [WebMethod] public string HelloWorld(int entero) { return "Hello World " + entero.ToString(); } } } The code i use to call the WS is this: <?php require_once('nusoap\nusoap.php'); $client = new nusoap_client('http://localhost/testws/TestWS.asmx?WSDL'); $params = array( 'entero' => 100 ); $result = $client->call('HelloWorld', array($params), 'http://advantage-security.com/HelloWorld', 'http://advantage-security.com/HelloWorld'); print_r($result); ?> and the result is this Hello World 0 What do you think may be the problem? According to what i've read there is no issues with simple types between .NET (which are converted to standard soap types) and PHP. If it is of use, here it is the WSDL.

I get a response every day, and on every day I respond with a question to the answer that didn't help me at all. 2011-05-18T00:25:20+00:00 app[web.1]: 71.198.0.51 - - [17/May/2011 17:25:20] "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1" 404 18 0.0008 2011-05-18T00:25:20+00:00 heroku[router]: GET pxlc.heroku.com/favicon.ico dyno=web.1 queue=0 wait=0ms service=2ms bytes=313 2011-05-18T00:25:26+00:00 app[web.1]: 71.198.0.51 -
