  What should be the AWStats log format for below tomcat access logs ? I tried these formats but the external IP addresses are not coming into AWStats reports. • http server connectivity puzzle

  I have been seeing some strange connection issue in the production environment. The setup has two IBM Http Server's (IHS) and a network IP load-balancer in front of them (round-robin). One instance the system is working fine, the next requests stop arriving at the IHS. Telnet directly to port 80 of the IHS is established sucessfully, but connection to the port 80 through the IP of the load-balancer fails! The puzzle comes next, the network admins say the load-balancer is working fine. When we finally reboot the IHS servers and request start flowing... The situation happened three times the last month and no obvious pattern was found. Any debug ideas?

• Comet with ASP.NET AsyncHttpHandlers

  I am implementing a comet using AsyncHttpHandlers in my current asp.net application. According to my implementation client initially sends Notification Hook request to server (with its user id) on AsyncHttpHandler, and on server side I maintain a Global (Application level) dictionary of userid(key) and IAynsResult (value). So when ever a request is received to send notification to a user I just pick the matching IAsyncResult from the Global Dictionary and send response to the client user. My concern is, is maintaing a Dictionary of Userid and IAsyncResult at Application level a good design? I feel it will put a lot of load on the server, at the time of high traffic. Is there any other way I can achieve the comet. or what will be the good design to achieve comet for high traffic scenarios.

• ASP.NET Build Images Links Dynamically

  Good Day, I am developing a website that has product images on an external server. I have code that tests to see if the image exists like (pseudo code): DynamicString = FunctionThatCreatesDynamicString() ' DynamicString = "http://external_server/path/to/file1.jpg" If ImageExists(DyanmicString) = StatusCode.200 Then ' Embed link in ASP.NET page Else ' Embed not found image in ASP.NET page End If My code builds fine and appears to execute. The problem occurs when I attempt to view the external link in a browser, the image appears properly (I have to authenticate first, but that's OK considering I'm on an internal network and this app will be used internally). However, when I attempt the view the source in my generated HTML page, I am seeing the image to the "Not Found" image when I know the image is there. I compared all the characters in my dynamically assembled to the external link and all the characters are matching up correctly. I'm wondering if the authentication has anything to do with why the image is not rendering properly on my rendered HTML. Any thoughts? TIA, coson

  I found an updated version of John Gruber's regex for url matching in this post by user GianPac, which states it's been adapted to recognize url without protocol or the www part: (?i)\b((?:[a-z][\w-]+:(?:/{1,3}|[a-z0-9%])|www\d{0,3}[.]|[a-z0-9.-]+[.][a-z]{2,4}/?)(?:[^\s()<]+|(([^\s()<]+|(([^\s()<]+)))))(?:(([^\s()<]+|(([^\s()<]+))))|[^\s`!()[]{};:'\".,<?«»“”‘’])) Whilst this works in most cases, I found it does not match "google.com". It does match "google.comm" and "google.co.uk", so this must be a small oversight. The trouble is, I literally hate regex. It's the bane of my life. I just want to try and tweak this one more time to allow for "google.com" - can anyone throw me a pointer? I (think) it's something to do with this part of the code: +[.][a-z]{2,4}/?) ?

  Hi All, I need to find the most efficient way of matching multiple regular expressions on a single block of text. To give an example of what I need, consider a block of text: "Hello World what a beautiful day" I want to replace Hello with "Bye" and "World" with Universe. I can always do this in a loop ofcourse, using something like String.replace functions availiable in various languages. However, I could have a huge block of text with multiple string patterns, that I need to match and replace. I was wondering if I can use Regular Expressions to do this efficiently or do I have to use a Parser like LALR. I need to do this in JavaScript, so if anyone knows tools that can get it done, it would be appreciated.

  Hi there! I'm trying to find a regular expression for $_GET query strings. I have an array like this: private $_regexp = array( ':id' => '[0-9]+', ':year' => '[12][0-9]{3}', ':month' => '0[1-9]|1[012]', ':day' => '0[1-9]|[12][0-9]|3[01]', ':slug' => '[a-zA-Z0-9-]+', ':query' => '...' ); and I loop throw them to see if I have a matching wildcard like this: if ( array_key_exists($matches[0], $this->_regexp) ) { return '^('.$this->_regexp[$matches[0]].')$'; } All other regexp go throw but I've tried a whole lot of different regexp to find: ?anything=anything can't figure it out, googled like h..l but can't find anything. • Buggy Perl regular expression

  Hi, there I'm writing a program that has to get values from a file. In the file each line indicates an entity. Each entity has three values. For example: Value1 Value2 value3 I have a regular expresion to match them m/(.*?) (.*?) (.*?)/m; But it seems that the third value in never matched! The only way to match the third value is to add another value in the file and another "matching brackets" in the expresion. But this does not satisfy me. Thanks in Advance!

• How do I parse an XML file that's on a different web server?

  I have a list of training dates saved into an XML file, and I have a little javascript file that parses all of the training dates and spits them out into a neatly formatted page. This solution was fine until we decided that we wanted another web-page on another sever to access the same XML file. Since I cannot use JavaScript to parse an XML file that's located on another server, I figured I'd just use an ASP script. • UNIX "find" command, match literal "dot"

  I need files ending with ".pdf" or ".png"; here's my attempt: find /Users/robottinosino/Desktop/_PublishMe_ -type f -regex '.*[pdf|png]' this incorrectly includes files ending with "Apdf", "Zpdf", etc. (missing literal dot before file extension) I tried adjusting the pattern to: find /Users/robottinosino/Desktop/_PublishMe_ -type f -regex '.*\.[pdf|png]' but then no results are returned. Escaping the . with a backslash does not work. Why?   I have a friend who wishes to work as a freelance web developer, but insists that tables are the way forwards for layouts. Several points he maintains in favour of tables: 1 This is what was taught at the beginning of 10 years of programming & computer science degrees. 2 Large companies use tables to achieve 'technical' things. 3 It saves time I have coded him some examples of CSS exactly matching table based layouts, and provided many links to articles explaining SEO and accessibility benefits. From the perspective of a client, I have been explaining to him that I wouldn't hire someone using outdated methods as their main strategy for layout. As he is my friend and I wish him every success, I believe it is important for him to gain the best start when pitching for work. The question again: How can I explain to a programmer that CSS positioning has many benefits over table based layouts?

• SQL Filter Multiple Tables Data

  If it matters, I'm using Firebird 2.1 database. I have three tables, one with keywords, one with negative keywords, and the other with required keywords. I need to be able to filter the data so the output has just the keywords that meat the stipulation of not being in the negative keyword list, and IF there are any required words, then it will require the results to have those keywords in the end result. The tables are very similar, the field in the tables that I would be matching against are all called keyword. I don't know SQL very well at all. I'm guessing it would be something like SELECT keyword from keywordstable where keyword in requiredkeywordstable and where NOT in negativekeywordstable Just a side note, The required keywords table could be empty which would mean there are no required keywords. I have #import "MyConstants.h" Inside 1 of my viewDidLoad{} methods, I have: extern int abc[]; NSLog(@"abc = (%d) (%d)", abc[1], sizeof(abc)/sizeof(int)); Why does it display "abc = (0) (3)" instead of "abc = (22) (3)"? How do I make this work as expected?

  I want to extract some links from a XML document (links are in same format as on html pages). Now for eg a link is "http://xyz.com/start/tyu/a.html" and another is "http://ert.com/tyu/b.html" while a third link is "http://asdf.com/ghjk/c.html" From the above 3 links (which I have with me using a for clause in a FLWOR expression)...I want only the links which contain within them a string "tyu" to be selected-- I thought of using substring for this, but substring requires start and end positions to be specified- whereas in my scenario, I dont know at which position the desired string will be. How do I do substring matching in such a scenario, i.e. where exact position for occurrence of substring, is not known? I can use XQuery 1.0 for this purpose. Finally, I want to extract the link URL, as well as link text...

  i have a string that looks like this - "1AL||9CA||34CO||196WY||..." i want to use a for loop or while loop, in which if i have an integer, it should parse this string and delete the value matching that integer. example for above string string = "1AL||9CA||34CO||196WY||..." integer = 34 for ... loop new string = "1AL||9CA||196WY||..." As you can see the integer matched the integer 34 and deleted from one delimeter "||" to th next one. how can i do this?

  I am trying to do basic ANTLR-based scanning. I have a problem with a lexer not matching wanted tokens. lexer grammar DefaultLexer; ALPHANUM : (LETTER | DIGIT)+; ACRONYM : LETTER '.' (LETTER '.')+; HOST : ALPHANUM (('.' | '-') ALPHANUM)+; fragment LETTER : UNICODE_CLASS_LL | UNICODE_CLASS_LM | UNICODE_CLASS_LO | UNICODE_CLASS_LT | UNICODE_CLASS_LU; fragment DIGIT : UNICODE_CLASS_ND | UNICODE_CLASS_NL; For the grammar above, hello. world string given as an input results in world only. Whereas I would expect to get both hello and world. What am I missing? Thanks.

And this how I tried, For example, var empLevelId = 'ObjectIdString 1' ; MyModel.aggregate( {$unwind: "$level_max_leaves"}, {$match: {"$level_max_leaves.level": empLevelId } }, {$group: { "_id": "$level_max_leaves.level", "total": { "$sum": "$level_max_leaves.max_leaves" }}}, function (err, res) { console.log(res); }); But here the $match filter is not working. I can't find out exact results of ObjectIdString 1 If I filter with name field, its working fine. like this, {$match: {"$name": "aaaa" } }, But in subdocument level its returns 0. {$match: {"$level_max_leaves.level": "ObjectIdString 1"} }, My expected result was, { "_id" : "ObjectIdString 1", "total" : 4, }
