    We have a requirement where we need to convert from .wav file to .mp3 and we are currently using "Tritonus" library to do that . The concern with that library is that requires "installation" of some "dll" files to the class path. I am wondering are there any API's those allow better processing without local installation. And other question is ,having mp3 format files will make it easier to join the files into a single file than having .wav files ?

  • Installing Apache2 and PHP5 on a XServe G5 running 10.4

    Hello- I have an Apple XServe G5, running OS X Server 10.4. I want to update my Apache installation from 1.3 to 2 and PHP to 5. I also want to install PHP GD support. I have scoured the internet for a guide on how to do this, but to no avail. I also tried to use Entropy to install PHP 5 several times, and it always manages to royally mess up my system. Obviously I can't install Leopard or Snow Leopard because it is a PowerPC processor. Can anyone give me any tips on how to get this software updated or point me to a guide? Thanks, Chris

    I am trying to set up my own DNS server solaris 10, i used the setup guide from http://www.logiqwest.com/dataCenter/Demos/RunBooks/DNS/DNSsetup.html I tried to join windows xp clients to the domain i configured using the above guide but i was unable to join giving me these errors, An error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate adomain controller for domain MYDOMAIN.COM. The error was: "No records found for given DNS query." (error code 0x0000251D DNS_INFO_NO_RECORDS) The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.MYDOMAIN.COM Where could i be going wrong?   • Dual booting Windows and Arch Linux (with GRUB2) - after using Windows, Windows Boot Manager made first in boot priority list

    I am dual booting Windows 7 and Arch Linux (both 64bit), with GRUB2, using the 64-bit EFI version. I partitioned my drive into a GPT drive and installed Windows first according to this guide. I then installed Arch Linux using the Beginner's Guide, installing grub2-efi-x86_64 in the process. Everything is working fine now, but with one problem. I can set the boot priority in BIOS (or is it UEFI?) to have GRUB boot try and boot before Windows Boot Manager. Then I chainload Windows Boot Manager using GRUB. However, when I actually use Windows in this manner, upon shutting down and turning on again, or rebooting, Windows seems to set Windows Boot Manager first in the priority list again, with the result being I have to manually set GRUB again, or I can't boot into Linux. My motherboard is an Asrock H61M/USB3, if that helps. I want to know how to turn off this behaviour.

One is oracle thin driver, and the other is OCI driver that requires its own installation (please correct if I'm misunderstanding). Now, what are the pros and cons? Obviously thin driver sounds much better in terms of installation, but is there anything that OCI can and the thin one can't? Develop environment is Tomcat6 + Spring 3.0 + JPA(Hibernate) + appache-DBCP Thanks in advance.

  • The iPhone “phone” doesn’t have the provisioning profile with which the application was signed.

    i have tried everything to fix this provision problem and nothing is working. ive reformated my mac, reinstalled the iphone, ive also dragged the provisions (developer and distribution) onto the organizer, itunes, and xcode. in itunes people say to drag the provisions to the iphone icon but that doesnt work its only able to go under library it shows a blue rectangle for me to drop it there. i just have a newly created dummy app with a 57x57 icon. ive also setup the project with the distribution thing with its distribution provision. when i build i get this: The iPhone “myphone” doesn’t have the provisioning profile with which the application was signed. Click “Install and Run” to install the provisioning profile “distribution” on “myphone” and continue running “helloworld.app”. and it has a button "install and run" ive clicked on that hundreths of times and nothing. in orgranizer i see a tab called console ive cleared it and rebuild the app and there is some output that i dont understand. I'm thinking its my problem whats it mean?   • Creating GPT partitions on EFI raw disk using diskpart

    I've got a raw, blank GPT disk for use in a UEFI system. I need to create the partitions on it using diskpart. The only tutorial I've found so far is for diskpart.efi, which I believe is slightly different from the command-line diskpart. MS guide to GPT partitions with diskpart.efi Also the guide says to create a MSR of 32MB, but for a disk= 16GB I know it needs to be 128MB. I'm happy doing it with diskpart, just want to be sure I understand the fundamentals. I'm planning on installing, in this order: ESP partition, size 102 MB (create partition esp size=102) MSR partition, size 128 MB (create partition msr size=128) data partition, the remaining space (approx 460GB) Is this the correct thing to do, or is there anything I'm missing?

    I'm using Eclipse's create InstallOptions menu to create a custom INI page with radio-buttons for repackaging the Blackberry Desktop installer. There are 2 sections for each type: "Internet" and "Enterprise". I need a user to select 1 of the 2 options and depending on their selection, the page will carry over the selection chosen in the custom page, jump to the INSTFILES page, and continue onto the end. I couldn't find any concrete documentation on getting INI pages to load in the script (I'm probably searching incorrectly), and then pass data from one page to the next (according to fields I guess?) I would expect either an error message saying tomcat is not configured as a proxy server or I should get the contents of google website. Instead I get the index.html page of my tomcat installation.     Does anyone know the function of the Lsh and Rsh keys in Windows 7 calculator when it is in Programmer's mode. One would think it's meant to shift bits left and right, but that doesn't seem to happen: sometimes nothing happens, other times I get a 'Result not defined' message in the display. Has anyone figured it out yet, is this a known bug? While we're at it, does anyone have suggestions for a good calculator, one with a decent reference guide / user guide (windows help doesn't seem to give any hints on what any of the keys do, in any mode).

  • Secure copying (file transfer) between two Linux servers in the same datacenter (Linode)

    I have two Linodes in the same data center. I want to copy files from one to the other each night or on demand (for about the next month, until this project is finished). So I'm thinking about using rsync. My question is how do I set up the two Linode servers to communicate via private IP addresses securely? Both servers are SSH hardened, they use denyhosts and have a fairly restrictive iptables setup. I know I need to first assign private IP addresses to each server, then configure static networking according to this guide. What is next? What SSH or iptables settings are needed to allow these two servers to communicate? What further info do I need to supply in this question? I'm looking for a basic step-by-step guide for how to do this.
